Lavender is my go to! I put it in my homemade lotions and lip balms. May Jesus bless you, sister! 💕

I agree that we need to treat ourselves and know how to do that. As it is written, My people perish for lack of knowledge. Doctors don't know and not all docs care either. It could mean the difference between life and death now days. I like to know how my body functions and what is good for it. Lord Bless you sister. Shalom Aleichem Mishpocha ❤

Good info. I really like Cedar Wood for just smell. Essential oils are expensive. I like Walmart from India. Guru something is the name. I think?. Don't quote me on that. I have been hearing alot about Frankincense. It's a beautiful fragrance. Sounds really good to use.

I saw your beautiful lavender in your video… Where we live the weather is just a bit too cold to grow lavender. Do you grow your own ginger? Blessings to you as well 🌺🤗

@@LittleDexterHomestead I tried to grow my own ginger once, but failed. I might try again, but I think our frosty winters are too cold for it.😊

I am very interested in what you said about the cedarwood oil. The reason is because I have had some bad reactions to mosquito bites over the last 3 years. The bites sting really badly and nothing takes the itch away. Then they develop into large blisters. I keep them covered and they take about 2 - 3 weeks to go down, then I am left with some discoloration of the skin. Nothing I have tried has kept them from biting me. I wear long sleeves, long pants, socks and cover my head, but they still bite right through the clothes and socks. Makes being outside for any reason a big risk for me. Even in the house I am not safe as they get inside. So about the cedarwood oil, could I dilute it with water and put it in a spray bottle and use it that way? Will it still be affective?

I’m so sorry to hear about those bad mosquitoes being a problem for you. Yes, you can add drops of cedarwood essential oil to distilled water and use it as a spray on your clothes/skin (maybe just test in a small part to make sure you don’t stain your clothes with oil or make a reaction to your skin). Another oil that you can add to the cedarwood is lemongrass essential oil. Some people also mix the cedarwood oil with another oil carrier such as coconut oil and apply it directly to their skin to repel mosquitoes. Pure lavender essential oil can help with bug bits and itchy skin.
Regarding swelling, you can do 3 minutes of a very hot compress and then 30 seconds of ice cold compress, you alternate hot/cold three times and repeat twice daily or more if possible. I really hope this will help you.

@@AlisonMeyer-ud1ix Just to add to what I said, my husband just shared this little device that you could use to repel mosquitoes. Personally I never used it but it’s something you could look into it. Here’s the link: www.thermacell.com/how-it-works

@@LittleDexterHomestead The bites I got from these type of mosquitoes did not swell much but they burned and the itching and pain would not go away no matter what I used to help. Here in Wisconsin we have 56 different types of mosquitoes (varieties). They say that about 4 years ago a new variety came into the state and I am wondering if that is the variety that bit me and I get this reaction from. I will try these different oils this coming spring when the mosquitoes return. Thank you.
