So this unit can be opened for cleaning?
I have several older K2 units that stop turning at a "dead spot" in the gears, but my understanding is they cannot be opened/cleaned.

@@greghudson1489 The Pro Plus can be disassembled for cleaning, and the K2 can be as well. The top twist cap is unscrewed anti-clockwise and then the pop-up riser will pull out of the bottom canister. If the head has been installed for a long time the bottom canister will need to be held in place while the twist cap is turned, otherwise the canister will unthread from the pipe below.
