You and others doing this slab ‘cracking’ 100 percent convinced me to NEVER buy a ‘graded’ slab. Too much shenanigans at play in the resellers market 😂
It's a genuine delight to see these gorgeous comics freed for us to enjoy every aspect of that amazing Kirby artwork! Great stuff, love your enthusiasm.
Beautiful books! I buy my first appearances slabbed since I'm a novice at grading and have to do most big purchases online, but all of my run filler books I prefer to keep raw. Saves on space and allows you to flip through the pages and enjoy like this 👍
I'm pretty sure the later CBCS cases has gone away of having the label in same inner sleve. The latest cases from CBCS is very very good. IMO clearly the best. I need to get some of the those clear backing boards...
its less sticky and doesn't damage your plastic cover when you take them out, and sometimes when you take out a comic the magic tape will latch on to the comic and then you have an issue where it might tear the comic.
@@RetroPowered just a precaution, I have had plastic bags rip from scotch tap before and its not fun when the tap gets stuck to a book especially an older book.
@@80sgamer76 There's a difference between scotch tape and scotch magic tape, which costs more. Many times the magic tape has stuck to my comics by accident and magically comes off without damage.
Recently over the last few years I've purchased a few key silver age slabs mostly cgc, have about 3 that are cbcs. Must admit I do prefer cgc. Have jim #125 and tm thor #126 ..but I've never liked the 126 for some reason both are cgc. Always been a raw man, but certain slaps just pop when encapsulated.
Nice to see you are coming around on Kirby's art and design. Those are some nice books and bright white pages. 😁👍
Enjoying comics as they should be.
“Down with the slabs” say it loud and proud!
Cool books. Thanks for sharing the inside of the books, too.
Having a comic book for what they are meant for. Screw slabs!
I can hear Mother Goose washing the dishes.
She’s breaking them because he broke the cases
Jack Kirby was the 🤴 King.
FREER OF COMIC BOOKS !
Destroyer of Plastic coffins - I suppose this is also from them being hackable, to open

Free!!! Free!!!! Well done my friend!

For as nice as the art is, I wonder how much better it could have looked with inks that weren't done by Vince Colletta.

Love those silver age books. Those early CBCS cases are trash.
Hell yeah! Cracking scam slabs is pure satisfaction.
Those colours look so vibrant. Those CBCS slabs were trash to be fair.
Set them free! And you did!

Why the blue painters tape? I use magic tape personally.

@80sgamer76 OK but I've never had those issues with Scotch Magic Tape. It's more sticky with MyLites but less sticky with everything else.

@@RetroPoweredI'm a big fan of Scotch Wall-Safe tape. It's thin and designed for frequent use. (just putting my NZ 2 cents in)
I actually heard the comics take a breath after you freed them.
Those look fantastic, it’s like taking sunglasses off.
CGC is smiling from you bad mouthing their opps.
