Morality does not need a higher power. I’m not a atheist but basing all your morals on a higher being is ridiculous imo Regardless on what or if you believe in religion. Cause even in the perspective of you believe in a higher power, you’re not genuine if the only reason you don’t cross your religion is for fear of the afterlife. Fear should not be the driver of belief. That’s regardless of whatever religion you belong to. For example in Abrahamic religions, I highly doubt god would appreciate that you don’t follow because you love/respect him but you are scared of the consequences of not doing that Morality should come from make up our own minds about what is right and wrong. They should have room to adapt and grow as we learn and understand more about reality. They should be consistent and generally be for the betterment of society as a whole. If your beliefs are hurting others you should probably re-examine what you believe.
I understand your perspective however I would say that there’s fundamentally things in grain humans in knowing what’s bad and what’s good take lying for example many children from a young age are taught to lie either by the parents or people they see, now is lying wrong to certain extent yes. You are correct fear should not be the reason that you follow god he doesn’t want you to follow him because of that he wants you to have faith in him but you also got to put in your overall work in. My last point would be that if you look at from the perspective of a Christian and as that you follow Jesus Christ he was never violent or did anything to attack, demean or mistreat other however he did callout things that where wrong , were taught to callout things that are good but to not disrespect or intentionally hurt others for what they believe. With that being said I understand that a lot of people focus more on how people who label themselves Christian’s act however there’s passages in the Bible that talk about this, Matthew 7:21 explains that in detail. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and I hope to have more conversations with you.
@@Beazy3112Sneako is just blidnly saying these things and never truly believe in it. Like the pedophilia part of the conversation. He just dodges the question at what age of consent should be and just falls back to his "book"
I also think you have a bit of a misinterpretation of what freedom of speech in America means. Per the first amendment, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, this doesn't mean you can just say and do whatever you want with zero consequence. If you scream at someone you're going to kill them while charging at them with a knife it's self defense if they shoot you, if you make that same comment while not being in a reasonable position/condition to do harm the law wouldn't allow self defense here a lot of times. The government cannot dictate what you can or cannot say, but private entities like RUclips or Twitter can absolutely, and the consequences faced by that speech is not an abridgement of the Constitution
ive never been a fan of destiny, but his debating techniques are good and the way he traps people is hilarious
Agreed
I love the editing brotha keep on posting!🎉🎉
You don’t need god to be moral
Explain your position if you don’t mind, always like having a good discourse
Moral by what or whos means.. society?
Religion did a good job setting a foundation for people to stand on but is now obsolete as n today’s society
Lol yes u do as otherwise there’s no real foundation of morality, no universal law for all to follow,
If that act harms another being, I think it's bad. See, no god is needed. But I still support people looking into religion
Love your takes but the background music is a bit anoying imo
How do you know animals don't have a concept of morality
