I just got a double and it works great. I used these instructions. I used a double so I can have two sandwiches done at the same time. It was $49 on Amazon. Putting on the oil with a paper towel is a life saver. Also putting cheese on after was a great idea. Cheese can make a mess, but putting it on after solved that. The sandwich was hot and melted the cheese fast. Also it was as easy to clean just like he said.
So glad this helped!!….another thing I found out(the hard way) is to always make sure that slide out disk is fully pushed back before pouring in the egg. One tiny gap will have that egg leaking out all over the place lol.
I got one of these as a cheap Xmas present a long time ago. It worked so well! I eventually got tired of it because I used it daily for maybe a few months. I ended up getting rid of it because I needed to clear space in my very messy house. Sometimes I wish I still had it.
My wife ordered the one that makes two sandwiches at once over a year ago and we use it on an average of five times a week! The dual one has a timer built in and a beeper for when it’s done. We add the cheese on top of the cooking egg and it comes out great also instead of maple syrup we use a good hot sauce. It is fantastic and will make you a great sandwich not to mention a great sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich that you might also be able to buy at a local McDonald’s! Definitely 5 stars!😂😂😂😂😂
Nice! If this one were to break or If I buy another one I’ll definitely get the double. Sometimes I have to cook another one right after because I wanna take one to go.
I add hot sauce and maple syrup. It a hot aand sweet flavors with the salty and smoky flavors from the, ham, Canadian Bacon, smoked sausage patties, precooked bacon or combinations. Try with it salami or pepperoni works with eggs as well. Help to give it variation so you dont get tired of the same thing everyday. I do mine in a skillet. But I may have to get one of these cookers. Looks easy to maintain and takes about the same time as I toast the bread cook the eggs amd meat separately then put it all together add cheese hot sauce with smidge of Mable syrup, honey or jam but always some hot sauce. Favorite is raspberry or grape jam and hot sauce.
@@rickbooher8224 Yes!! I will occasionally put grape jelly on mine as well! And with the maple syrup It’s almost like a McGriddle, only without the pancake or waffle sandwich. I’ll definitely try those other meats. Sounds great!
I have one for a couple of years now. I make other things with it, hamburgers, pizza muffins, keto muffins, pancakes. Anything you can make it a sandwich, this will do!
Thank you! I’ll be making some more videos soon! The new year is always busy for me, but I have a lot of stuff coming in so I’ll lump in a bunch of stuff in one video to try to make up for lost time😃
@@CreoleLadyBug Don't hesitate to ask any questions! Also, I just found out the other day, that circular disk that slides in and out, make sure it's slid in all the way before you pour the egg, or anything liquid. If it's the least bit slightly forward it'll have a small gap in the back and the egg will slowly leak out before it's cooked lol. I guess I didn't notice mine not all the way flush with the top and bottom circles and my egg leaked out the back.🤦♂
I want one. I’ve been looking to get it for a while. Be great for a quick healthy breakfast for the kids before school. This was the best review I’ve seen on a product. I’m always asking for dimensions and heat. This was great 👍🏻
I just happened to see this, back in 2001 Kathy Mitchell's came out with the 101 express ,zi ordered I as seen onTV, they sent me a large two side one and a regular small one with her cook book. I still have the original small one, and this is something similar to her new one that came out. but why go through all the trouble when I can order this at McDonald's door dash and my favorite hash browns and large Orange juice 🥤 to go😉
Well you definitely have a right to spend your money any way you wish. I just happen to make this almost everyday. It’s almost a routine for me. And it takes 10 min and no trouble at all…for me anyway. I have the process down to where it’s just habit for me. And one sandwich only costs me just about $1.25 and I have to cut back on hash browns anyway😬 So depending on how you look at it, it saves me an average of $100-$125 a month. But yes this McD’s meal is definitely one of my favorites from their menu! And if I get up early enough I may splurge once in a while. Ours ends breakfast at 10am…and that’s the time I’m about leaving my house to go to work😒
That’s sounds so good! I need to start trying other meats on this. I’m tempted to buy another one and keep it on the shelf just for a back up lol. Love this thing so much.
@@davidroman1654 yes! I just tried it. What you do is, before you turn it on or plug it in, right out of the bag put a layer of the frozen hash browns on the top part, then turn it on. As soon as the green light comes on put both your buns on the bottom part(I’ll tell you why in a bit) then pour your egg on the top part. The reason you put both pieces of bread on the bottom part is because there probably won’t be any room for that bread in the top part with the hash browns and the egg. You can of course just toast the bread in a toaster if you want, but if you just want to use one appliance you can use this to toast the bread as well. So now after 5 min, when it’s done just slide that middle iron out and the eggs and hash will drop to the bread, just scoop it all out like normal and since the eggs and hash will be in one piece you can just take it off, separate your two pieces of bread and put the egg and hash in after👍
That was an outstanding review! Thank you for the excellent review - I asked for this as a Christmas gift and looking forward to using it daily if possible as you do... What brand of sausage are you using in your sandwich? Is it a frozen sausage? Thanks!
Happy to know you’re getting one! I just use the refrigerated (not frozen) Jimmy Dean sausages from Walmart, there might be better ones from Whole Foods but cost a little more.
Looks great, but I like both sides of my English muffins toasted, so this wouldn't work for me. But the Dash mini griddle does, bacon, egg, and cheese!
I do too sometimes, but I'm not too particular. Sometimes I just want the egg and it's great for just a quick one egg sandwich. I just heat it up and put just the egg in there and toast the muffin while I wait. No clean up of anything really.
I’m not very much into bread but I like cheese, bacon and eggs. Do you think there’s a way of skipping the bread, or at least the top half of the bread, and putting in an extra egg instead?
@@gnostie You can totally put just egg alone if you wanted to. You might have to cook the bacon separately. But you could experiment with putting the raw bacon in the egg compartment first figure out how long until it’s cooked then pour the egg on top and then put in cheese after. Then just pull the middle part out and let it all drop! This thing Is basically just an electric iron grill with a built in compartment. In theory it should cook anything that touches the iron. You can be as creative as you want😁
It kind of depends, I have an all-in-one seasoning I use mostly, but it varies. Sometimes I have a garlic and herb seasoning but if I don’t feel like smelling like garlic that day I won’t use that one lol. Sometimes I’ll even put raspberry jam🤷♂️
What sausage patties are you using. They look like the right size for breakfast sandwiches. All the ones I seem to see in the stores are round and flat but not quite breakfast sandwich size.
I usually get the Jimmy Deans breakfast sausage patties. Which is kinda small for English muffins. I think they were made for biscuits. But that’s what I’ve been using…or ham.
Great Value precooked pork sausage patties from Walmart are the perfect size for English muffins and I have used them with this appliance for several years. Recently, Johnsonville came out with a precooked breakfast sausage patty that is designed to fit nicely on an English muffin. It is my new go to choice to use for making sausage egg muffin sandwiches. Hope this helps.
So the gloves are just something I started doing when I started this channel and I kinda just kept it going lol. Now the zip tie is there because that top lid actually gets pretty hot so I put it there so I don’t have to wear heat gloves to lift it to pour the egg in.
I probably reapply the nonstick once every 4 days to keep this nonstick and really don’t have to clean that much.
Can u make a video on how you reapply the nonstick!?!?
