I'm planning to convert a Ducato myself this year and your videos are by far the best I found. Not only you know a lot about this and explain the rationale, but you also show it in a fun way. Thanks!
I wish I was just discovering your channel. I found you during midsemester exams and I just couldn't stop watching the series to study. I finished it all within a week, just before my last paper.😂 Now that I've completed I wish I had the patience to wait to come home and watch it. But I'll rewatch it all.
Very very interesting video! It's not often at all that I watch a whole video but this was so interesting I was transfixed for the whole 30 minutes. Probably the best one I've ever seen. Thank you.

Thanks man. This channel really got me going, im built 3 e-bikes, loved it so much i decided to learn electromecanic in school. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm.
Perfectly designed, crafted and implemented with the end-user in mind, that, being yourselves. 3D printing your own themed holders, switch housings, etcetera really adds to the overall visual aesthetics that makes your van truly "one of a kind" . Seeing your skillset being put to full use reminds me of a quote from Arthur Fletcher - "A mind is a terrible thing to waste". I am now following along to see where this journey takes you. 👑🚐💚
Great compilation of a wonderfully skilled build. Awesome skills learned and very well executed! I love the use of different insulation for different purposes. To save some money, I would think where applying k-flex, you wouldn’t need sound deadening, because k-flex also does that. ❤
@4:56 did you consider a double layer of solar panels to extend for the same weight? Like, maybe 2 layers of flexible solar on an extendable frame that becomes an awning?
Every time you cut into the van panels, you should have painted the exposed metal with rust proofing paint. For example, your windows and your out power holes, your exhaust fan vents are now cut exposed metal that will rust out.
That’s awesome how thoughtful and clever you built up that camper van. I love it. Guys, I don’t have the workshop, the tools, the skillset and patience to build one myself. From you I’m sure I can get the interior design suiting my needs and not the same boring, almost identical floor plan of all the major companies out there. How much? Are you at the Suisse Caravan Salon Oct. 24th to 28th in Bern? If so, what’s your booth number? Will definitely visit you.
Wow, you really did think of everything. You have some amazing skills there. What a great life. Beautiful build. New subscriber now. Look forward to watching your journey. thank you for sharing.
Truly impressed. By the way, you could save a TON of space from the ebikes by learning to ride electric unicycles. Its challenging at first, but absolutely nothing beat the size/range they provide. Plus, they are a ton of fun. Only drawback is that its a "gear up, all the time" thing, but you seem to be safety conscious already 😊.
It is, more dangerous in other words :) Less practical for bringing cargo like groceries when we park off grid. I always had this concept in mind of keeping one EUC in the trunk of our small car where I can’t fit ebike. Super cool for quick transport within a city.
Supernice! What products would you recommend please for the rust treatment and as a base coat for the underbody here in Czech Republic? I was thinking about Perdix 220 as rust treatment, but I don't know what basecoat to use...Thanks for the reply!
Hello Ladi & Margaret I found your channel recently and was delighted to see this video. I am currently planning a similar concept. __ At minute 6:35 you show a locking mechanism that I have been looking for for so long. Can you please help me with a link where I can get it? Thanks in advance for your support Greetings from Austria, Paul

if you have solar and insulated flood. why not infrared floor heating? Its a light addition to diesel heating when its not that cold and you dont wanna run the diesel heater all the time
Spray foam installation would be the best way to trap yourself from outside but it has to be given enough time to cure, otherwise you might face very hazard health issue. There are so many cases in law suit against foam installer in many homes. Give it a enough time to cure !!!
I ve Build 2 Vans , and really wonder if you guys are able to stay under 3,5 ton .. kinda important point to mention in instruction video not to get into troubles .. which I had the first time .. I love the build don t get me wrong Its super inspiring .. but is it possible under 3,5 ton and safe ??… 😊
I'm curious. If you were to do this type of conversion for sale to a third party, how much would you charge on top of the budget you mention in your Show Notes?
I need to share some knowledge, the white glue you're using to glue the fabric to the wooden panels is actually bad, like the glue is very bad. There is better glue for it, how do I know? Our family owns a car upholstery and we make luxury car interiors and also repairs. This glue will loose it's power once it gets lil too humid inside the van.

The knowledge and perseverance Margaret and Ladi is insane. I could not top this level of motivation, but I am willing to try!
Thanks for the short summary! I hope to see even more in-dept about the unique features of this over-engineered to perfection tiny van!

Wonderful van conversion! What material did you use for the water tank?
Love your ingenuity and attention to detail
The level of detail in the design and in the build videos is mind-blowing!
This is the best work on a camper van I have ever seen.
Love to see how you build your van - all the ideas, solutions you created. Great job - greets from Switzerland
The best self-build van out there! ❤
Really great to see it all in one video and lovely conversation. The solar system is awesome. Extra points for a under seat cat box ❤

Great build and I love that the video is packed with practical hints!
Well done! 👍👍👍

Trying to fit in a double bed with two singles underneath at the back, also leaving room for a garage space is proving difficult.

I had a unicycle few years back and I absolutely loved it! 5 points of contact on a bike is much safer and allows more aggressive riding.

Curious whether the roof panels you used warped. Perhaps a follow up video on how well everything held up and if you would do anything different.

hello how much did you spend
You are very skilled but how do you have a professional fabrication workshop, what do you do for work? Also what wheelbase and height is the van.
I'm not sure ship wool is the best insulation as it keeps moisture and it could grow mold there
Thank u so much!

Because new base is more than double the price.
