@surly_mel I said straight up, if I remember correctly and that this was like 10 years ago, perhaps it was a different game, or perhaps my professor came in on the film late in production so it could have been Halo in the end. Let me tell you some facts about the production of this movie. Fathom Studios, the company behind this movie, began development in 1999 and animation work began in 2001. As you can tell, their in production hell for too long. This explains why Anne Bancroft and John Vernon passed away before the film was released in theaters and lost 40 million dollars at the box office. Oh, and to end it all off, these ground-dwelling Loknis look like shellless turtles other than frogs.
I'm pretty sure the monkey soldier who said "You're on your own, kid" is the same one as blue guy. The point is that the blue guy killed the frog kid's parents, but then later unwittingly ended up helping him. That's why it was thematically significant.

Great review! I haven't seen the film, but it looks wretched. One thing though: someone has their wings cut off and starts collecting fake wings? I... kinda like that.
@@613harbinger316 Worse, because if they're not fake they were stolen from someone. I guess the thing is we have all these aliens and fantastic races who can fly or breathe underwater and all that, and it makes sense that if they lost their special ability they'd feel as crippled as a human who suddenly lost their legs or something. So getting all these fake wings is pathetic butn understandable, someone trying to deal with a rather horrible emotional trauma.
Yeah, but Food Fight was a limited release after having been carted off to multiple other distribution companies. Delgo, inexplicably, got a 2000 theater release and the studio that made it held onto it from inception to release.
I think the implication is that it was Blue Guy who Delgo remembers saying that same line to him during the genocide. So Blue Guy sacrificed himself to save Delgo over feeling guilty for participating in destroying Delgo's village all those years ago. Also the movie isn't even that bad, just mediocre. It's the huge budget and long production time that makes it look like a disaster.
This video sure does warm my cold, dead heart. For anyone who might think that there was any spark, any promise early on... No, no there wasn't. Like an old roomate of mine Delgo just stole art/ideas from anything successful and made poor copies of them, lumpy and awful. From the very beginning there was no desire to tell a good story, no heart in its chest.
I have heard told in tones incredulous mockery the story of the epic flop, horrendous animation, and inexplicable voice cast that was Delgo, but I thought it was all just myth.
I need this ma... Possum, to review either The Two Towers, which could be a reañly good comparing point to critisice other movies, or Babylon A.D. that is the prime example of wasted potential

Is it better or worse if it turns out they're not fake?
@@613harbinger316 Worse, because if they're not fake they were stolen from someone.
I guess the thing is we have all these aliens and fantastic races who can fly or breathe underwater and all that, and it makes sense that if they lost their special ability they'd feel as crippled as a human who suddenly lost their legs or something. So getting all these fake wings is pathetic butn understandable, someone trying to deal with a rather horrible emotional trauma.
@@613harbinger316would be metal for sure.
I believe Foodfight! had a bigger budget and grossed less.
The worst timeline
Yeah, but Food Fight was a limited release after having been carted off to multiple other distribution companies. Delgo, inexplicably, got a 2000 theater release and the studio that made it held onto it from inception to release.
“Its only honorable to fight if what you fight for is honorable” i dont know why i liked this movie as a kid
It IS objectively better than the Barbie movies at that time. People forget, I guess, how horrendous animation *could* be at the time.
@therealdannymullen But 2000s Barbie movies had better stories than this. Even the ones with mediocre plots were still better than this.
I found the character and world design actually really good. Shame the plot and story isn’t as good.
Really stepping it up with the production value
Oh this makes me happy AF! 😂😂 I just sat down to eat, and a new possum vid makes it wayyyyyy better!
When the frog temple was trashed it was just like when the dojo in Karate Kid was trashed. With the same advice. Frog on, frog off.
Like a train or car wreck...I can't look away...
Their world looks like a crappy abandoned map in WoW.
I almost took my niece and nephew to this movie
I thought blue armored guy was the same one who killed delgo's parents.
A shame there wasn't a Video Brinquedo knock off of this, though it looks like one with a slightly higher budget
I need this ma... Possum, to review either The Two Towers, which could be a reañly good comparing point to critisice other movies, or Babylon A.D. that is the prime example of wasted potential
i got this notification for the upload, it works!
Why did the goblin turn on the stove?
If we meme enough maybe we will bait a sequel for this movie
I like how Possum is male but still has a pouch
Probably better than Disney stuff nowadays
Alpha and Omega somehow looks better than this
You a G, Possum
Keep’um coming
I mean, it doesn’t look amazing, but it isn't horrific
40 million dollars.... Holy cow :(
He mentioned why: every character is voiced by a known actor. At least half of it went on that.
Your Kraken voice sounds just like Squidward!
Somehow RUclips likes me and shows me all your videos.
