The Pixel 8a killer is the Pixel 8... I know the pricing is taking into account future deals, discounts and trade-ins but the Pixel will also get those price cuts too. Its well worth spending the extra amount of money for the 8 over the 8a.

On my edge 30 Ultra Gcam in some instances is super impressive in detail without the over sharpening and oil painting processing that can happen. People sleep on Motorola. They have some really nice stuff. Been a fan for years. I'm getting the edge 50 pro. Software is basically the same as Pixel. Stock android. Motorola give people what they want. You can get 144 h refresh rate on midrange devices. 125 watt fast charging. 50 watt wireless. This is crazy on some of these Motorola phones. Beautiful displays. Camera has improved a lot. Only thing Motorola needs to do is improve the software update for their devices. Some get updates on time, some don't. Example. My razr plus 2023 is still on Android 13. This is not cool and they need to get on the ball. If they start bi monthly across the board updating, I'll probably ditch pixel and go back to Motorola completely.

But the Motorola seems to be a great phone, but until now I never had heard about it. So the Pixel 8a is my backup phone. My main device ist the iPhone 15 Pro cause I’m stuck in their ecosystem 😂. I like your video. But the P8a is already being discounted pre-launch, which prices it under the ThinkPhone in many markets, and that tilts the value see-saw a little. I like Moto phones (great screens, excellent battery life) but 7 years pf updates vs 2 years on my most recent Moto tilts the equation a little

It’s not being discounted. They’re offering a $100 credit/gift card that doesn’t go towards the price of the phone.

@BlueTheBirdie bluetooth buds aren't the perfect solution to audio. Sure I have a pair, but it's another thing to charge, and I don't want to carry them or use them in all circumstances. Same thing goes for a dongle, one more thing one shouldn't have to carry to get basic functionality out of their phone.
Ultimately phones are a tool, and the audio jack doesn't become useless because corporations say so.

How so? The software updates are just as long. Both only have two more years of OS updates and the pixel has one more year of seducers patches. I would take this phone any day over a 7/7a. Also, many pixel features are useless and don’t work outside of the U.S.

@@TechOdyssey the think series aren't available in India but their g,e,x series were available. The experience is not so stellar for carrier unlocked phones even for other Android one phones from HMD Nokia and others. Had to switch to Pixel 4a after much frustration with customer service not even accepting as faulty but as the user induced one. The software experience and consistency of Pixel is superior. Now I'm using the unlocked Pixel 7 NSA version which fixed the 4a's shortcomings of lower performance, better build quality, ip68 and higher MPx main camera. Still the Pixel 4a camera is a beast and very compact.
