I agree, if Nissan/Infiniti used a ZF8 vs the Jatco 7 Speed it would have been a much better driving experience all around. Once tuned the transmission shifts firmer & better, but we still need a damn transmission tune! Crossing my fingers for ECUtek to come through, it’s really my only gripe as a Q60 RS owner.
@@TheSpendingHabitwe haven’t heard much in terms of reliability & failures quite yet. We do know that Nismo reprogrammed & tweaked the 9 Speed AT in the Nismo Z. Reviewers have mentioned that it is a better overall feel & quicker shifting vs standard 9 Speed Z gearbox. The 7 speed AT, although ancient is still very robust & reliable to this day. All it needs is a TCM tune to make the shifts feel more sporty & crisper, I know Hussain @ Racebox still has a preference of the 7 Speed AT vs 9 Speed AT that is still a bit clunky. JATCO unfortunately doesn’t build the same type of caliber transmissions as ZF & others 😢😭
@@djivan831 Thanks so much for the feedback. Car is a little rough when downshifting from 2nd to first in manual mode. Not sure if this is normal or not but its only from 2-1 all the other gears going up and down dont seem to be an issue. Im getting tranny fluid flushed tomorrow. Hopefully all should be fine. I have 48k miles on my 17 Q60 RS400 rn
Aye whats up boost in motion fam. Im new to the Infiniti platform and Just found a 2014 Q50 118k miles, great maintenance record and single owner for $12k. Should I pull the trigger ? I would appreciate some advice and tips. Thank you in advance
Feel like if they updated the q60 w the current 9sp trans that theyre puttin in most cars, it would be a much better vehicle

How reliable is the 9sp? More reliable than the 7sp in the Q60 currently?

I had a infinti Q60 Red Sport I love ❤️ that car!!
I say it all the time: the merc amg45 IS a 4 door Q60 💯. All the German manufacturers knew it was a dope car. Everyone slept on it.
Lets not forget that Nissan had brought shares in MB and had shared things with MB .. MB gain a lot from Nissan
The New M5 hybrid weighs 5390lbs 😮
WTF is BMW doing 🤦🏾♂️
that is some crazy weight gain on the M5
Hear me out.....
Q60 black S with a VR38 & hybrid under 4400 lbs....
🔥?y/n??

I think these companies need to take a page from koenigsegg hybrid technology & somehow make it less expensive their hybrid system is not heavy at all
They could’ve made it super limited or just make it the GTR
Lowkey had a feeling lol
i have never in my 25 yrs of living ever heard somebody pronounce toyota prius like that

Make sure the maintenance is very good then if that’s good you’re all good
Ask him when the last time he changed the oil, then check the dipstick to see if it burned oil make your decision on that.
Just like how Hyundai stole N model styling from Nissan Miami styling!
Nissan couldn’t have done it because they were already in some problems with upper management
