YES! thank you. Best news in a while. It's going to be a risky evening flying around my house in atti mode... this can't wait until tomorrow.
Thanks a lot . Really made a difference, easily explained and fun to watch! It worked for us too
That's awesome! Glad to hear it's still working and thank you for the feedback🤘🏼
One note: firmware updates may or may not make this obsolete.
Nice video!! Well done.
Thank you🤘🏼
👏🏻👏🏻 U are right pure force from dji to buy the rc motion controller 2 S...
Thank you.
Is the same "hack" available for using the Goggles V2 on the DJI RC Pro controller??
Amen! Let's hope DJI listens. Funny video. That was exactly me last week, but I won't be shooting gaps or entering my Mavic 3 in the DRL though! 🤣🤣🤣
Great video, delivery and humor. You certainly got a subscriber from it.
The moment they make the goggles compatible with the rc pro or even the rc controller is when I will buy the goggles on the spot. Until then theres no point for me atm.
Im curious about fpv flying but its more of a novelty. I would love to fly my drone from an fpv perspective as i check rivers for hazards.
Thank you! I really appreciate that 🤘🏼
Hopefully they do this (legitimately) soon.
It is mostly just for fun, especially since you can only shoot in 4k 60 while using them. That would be neat, just watch out for fishing lines lol
Completely unrelated to this video, but gotta say something here. I’ve been subscribed and enjoying your content for couple years now. I TRULY DONT UNDERSTAND how you only have 5k subscribers?? You have a great combo of knowledge + humor, and I’m always smarter after watching you vids.
Keep up the great work m8, you’re doing it right 👏👏
I jsut found the channel and certainly am impressed with the feedback and content.
Thank you so much!! We’ve been planning on taking it more seriously for a while, and just now are beginning to do that. We just leased a RUclips studio a few weeks ago and went full time. We will see how it goes very soon haha
I really appreciate the feedback it’s extremely motivating 🤘🏼
Thank you!
@@CliffKajun good luck with it. looking forward to more videos
@@CliffKajun love the new studio, looks like it's a backroom on the Millenium Falcon : ]
Glad to hear you guys are taking the leap! fwiw, i find your content to be 3-5x more informative than channels with 50-150k subs. You guys will 10x your subs imo if you keep this up. Your content is relevant, not regurgitating same crap everyone else is, and love when you unpack some of the smaller details/lesser known features.
one thing I might throw out there as a suggestion for when new products roll out: a dropbox/g-drive link for raw footage download. It's tricky to find these upon release, and always like to drop it in my NLE before purchasing. just a thought ..
again, apprecate you guys!
Flying with goggles and the RC controller I noticed my mini 3 pro video Mbps was 24 instead of 50. Even when the drone was right in front of me. However, I had 4 bars of video signal. Saw this on other RUclips videos as well. Also noticed latency was about the same as the Avata, using the “wave your hand in front of the camera” test. I hope DJI gives us the ability to use their stick controllers AND the the FLY App with the goggles. Judging from past behavior, they will probably disable the work around in the next update.
Sweet we can really use the goggles 2 now with the Mavic 3. Sweet . I have the Dji rc in 1 control with the touch screen would I be able to use it still with goggles?
Can you use the telephoto lens? How does head tracking work with it?
Very good hehehhe
Thank you very much for making this video. I hope that DJI will officially allow us to fly the Mavic 3 and Mini 3 Pro with the Goggles using the regular RCs with sticks because I don't like the motion controller at all.
No problem! I think they will if we push hard enough. Fortunately, it’s just a matter of removing restrictions vs adding more code.
Thanks for the comment 🤘🏼
I agree. We should be able to use any controller we want. I wont buy a set of goggles until theres compatibility with my RC Pro. If they make it compatible then ill buy a set of goggles immediately.
That Beautiful Mavic-3 and look how you are treating it ! Hahahaaaa .
So do I understand that the only way that i'd be able to use the Goggles v2 with my Mavic 3 (3 or pro) is in FPV mode? Or is that just the mode mentioned here?
Thank you for the video. It explained alot for me. I am getting that Goggles in use error so when you power the goggles off and back on will the screen on the Phone or RCN1 still get a video feed. I have tried but I think I am doing something wrong. Maybe the drone is not binded correctly to the controller or goggles. I get the feed in the goggle and the controller works but that damn Screen Goggles in use.
I can't get rid of it once the goggles are on. I seen one guy in another video that both screen are getting video feed. Thank you for any help or Idea's .
This is Jeremy Alms.... Been waiting!!!!
Haha, well here it is!!
Just tested!!! Thanks so much, not sure why I did not think of this!!!
@@VegasAerialServices glad it worked out! Gotta love the loopholes lol
😂😂😂 u had me daying bru nice video
I tested it with the Integra, and flew 2 km with perfect video feed, but I couldn't start recording video or taking photos.
Were you able to record video or take photos with the Goggles 2 ?
I really wonder what happens if you bind M3P or M3 with goggles and bind goggles with fpv controller 2, which is not yet officially compatible.
Anyone know if you can do using the RC pro controller?
self inflicted crashes are their goal :)
Are sensors still on when doing this?
I think DJI has a long history of rolling out their products with the exact goal of selling more units (profit) whether it be with limiting functionality or just coming out with another next # higher drone. I purchased a few of their drones when this has occurred I don’t think they’ll change it in the future.
It’s definitely a marketing/sales thing. Hopefully they will switch it up once they hit their numbers on the Motion 2
You just noticed this ?
@@CliffKajunYea more company must stand up and make better one then they will change very fast. or somebody must hack it for the connection :)
HUGE QUESTION; My Goggles Integra just arrived. But everytime I power them up it says GOGGLES NOT ACTIVATED connect to your phone and activate through DJI FLY.. BUT....I'm flying Mavic 3 with DJI RC? What am I doing wrong?
So, I wonder if this will work when using the Other Mini 3 Pro controller, with the screen built-in? Also, love that 'Dekay's brown' snake in the vid. I used to keep those as pets for a while. They eat earthworms. 😄
I believe it does!
Lol the snake was super friendly. I think it was still a touch cold and sluggish too. It was a little unnerving flying with it by my feet and the goggles on 😅
Hey ! Switching on the glasses at the same time as the Controller Will not create interference and reduce drone range ? May be a risk of losing the drone without being able to return to home ?
It doesn’t appear to from our tests so far.
I have goggles v2 and was a little miffed they wouldn’t work but I think eventually I’d buy the goggles 2 if I don’t have to use the motion controller that ain’t flying a drone in my book …please read this DJI
Here from Facebook 👏🏼
👋
Can anyone confirm if these work with the 3T as well?
Maybe it has something to do with available bandwidth. The Goggles 2 demands a lot of wifi bandwidth to fly and if it has to share this with the RC Smart Controller or any other RC controller, it might get a little buggy. Maybe that is the reason why. If they can decrease the bandwidth usage between the Goggles 2 and the drone it would be better to fly with the RC controllers. I wouldn't mind a little bit less video quality in the Goggles to fly with the RC controllers
I i wish at least remote controller 2 would work with that setup no screen needed when G2s are paired imho.
Great video! Thank you so much!! But please please measure the latency of the video link in the goggles! It is very important for my buying decision!! Maybe use a GoPro hero 11 for it. Thank you so much!!
Thank you! The latency seems to be on par with my other fpv drones, so it shouldn’t be an issue with the M3. (It’s not nearly as fast). I’ll have to get a real answer for you after some tests.
@@CliffKajun that would be terrific 👍. The avata has 40ms latency, the mini 3 pro has 150ms to the DJI RC controller, the legacy DJI googles RE and the Mavic 2 pro also had 150ms. I think everything over 70ms I would consider unusable for close proximity. An much rather glue a O3 Air Unit to the mini 3. But the you would loose headtracking.
Make a video with a 360º camera attached to the Mavic 3 because I recently lost my air2s and an insta 360 sphere camera along with it.
Having trouble updating the software on the goggles Integra . Could you recommend anything?
Have you tried plugging it into a computer and using the DJI assistant? I think it’s the most recent “consumer drones edition” from their downloads page.
Yes I did
Yes, I have tried that
have you tried also using with the DJI RC controller ( not just the RC-N1 )
I’ve heard from others that it works the same way. You should be good to go 🤘🏼
Or is there some news we all wanted to know? Greetz from the Netherlands 🙂
Hoe Connect je de bril met de drone 😅
Is that a snake when you're taking off?! It got blown away...
Haha, yea. It hang out with me while I was flying. Just slid to the side a bit 😅
Does this still work?
So I no longer HAVE TO buy the controller? Just the goggles 2?
Great video you just got a subscribe out of me lol
Thank you very much!! 🤘🏼
Thanks for the interesting and helpful findings. As long as the goggles 2 are not officially compatible with the RC-N1, RC or RC pro I will not buy the G2. I'm not going to fly my M3 classic with the toy gimmick stick, the Motion 2. What was DJI thinking? I assume in favor of DJI that they are not that stupid and only think of selling the gimmick stick for 180,-. A Mavic series drone is a near-professional tool. The professional wants to earn money with the recordings and the ambitious amateur wants to take pictures in cinematic quality. In order to make the best possible use of the drone’s capabilities, I want full and unrestricted access to all flight and camera parameters at all times. This is only possible with a real controller, not only by fiddling with the settings on the G2 glasses. And hardly any M3 user wants to race around the block like a madman with the gimmick stick. - But then, what is it? Are there any technical reasons that operating the RCx and G2 at the same time is critical? Could it be that the bandwidth and strength of the transmission signal is too low to operate both components, G2 and RCx, at the same time and above all safely?
But what would be the use case? Long range?
Proximity flying. You can get much closer to objects with the goggles view. Just don’t get as close as I did lol.
The range is probably less than the controller.
Id love to fly my drone with goggles. Especially when its sunny out nad seeing what the drone is seeing.
Not working for my I have tried on n1 and N2 controller and FPV lol hopefully they dump the motion.
No longer works :-( I have video feed, but after connecting RC1 I get message that only Morion Controller 2 is supported
Will this work with DJI RC
It should work the same with any of the controllers. Not 100%, but should.
Confirmed minutes ago, yes.
Will the Mavic 3 fly in follow me mode or FPV or either?
@@wingman2195 A lot of modes have been disabled, like the automated shots for safety reasons while using goggles.
@@VegasAerialServices which is stupid. using goggles supposed to have 2nd person "with you" for safety. So wish I could use goggles with remote. Use for panoramic images. Just wish I could set corners, and then tell the drone to execute my custom pano. Shouldn't be that hard. On my actual cameras and pano heads you have stops. To create digital stops. So easy but DJI FAILS. Year after year
1:06 is that a snake under the Mavic? 😅
Does it work with the older googles and does it work with the air2s?
Just the goggles 2 (not to be confused with the goggles V2)
No, unfortunately just the o3 stuff: Mavic 3, mini 3, Avata
@Cliff & Kajun I know now I contacted dji and my air2s doesn't
WTF!😱 Was that a snake at the 1:03 mark when the drone took off?😧
😅 yes. It was chilly enough that it wasn’t moving fast. Still not the most comforting thing to have at your feet while your flying with goggles 😬
@@CliffKajun Yes I'd be pissy as hell after viewing the footage if i were there!😂😂😂😂😂👍
The snake is an actor? 1.06 min
Yes, it was but after unionizing we had to let him go. 😅
You mentioned this hack works with goggles 2 and not v2 what about the Integra goggles
Integra works!
Thank you
pre-work
-Latest firmware updates for goggles and drones
-Remote controller (RC or RC-N1) firmware update
-Goggles and drones must be bound (refer to the goggles manual)
1. Turn on the power of the drone and remote controller.
2. Wait until the drone and controller are connected
3. Turn on the goggles
4. Wait for the goggles and drone to connect
5. Then a black warning screen will appear on the controller and the drone will not take off.
6. Then turn off the goggles
7. Wait a bit for the remote controller screen to come back
8. When the screen returns, take off the drone and leave it hovering in the air.
9. In that state, turn on the power of the goggles.
10. The drone screen is also transmitted to goggles
Thanks for the breakdown 🤘🏼😎
Sei da denuncia!!!😂
😂....
🤫
And it is not still fixed ... why o why !!!
I have the Mavic 2 pro, I dont use it since, I fly fpv drones now, I was planing to get the mavic 3 buy dji is stupid not letting us use other controllers the motion controller is a piece of garbage.
right. how difficult is it. For panorama photos. Let us use the damn goggles while using rc-pro. Let us go to one corner. bam. top left. to top right. bottom right. bottom left. how many desired megapixels. with zoom as well to get useable pics out of the lame 7x camera. I mean, do they actual want photogs to use these and get quality images. simple fixes. yet they continually miss.
Great find, but the goggles are not that great.
Thanks, and you are correct 😅
CCP runs DJI, so You need to ask their first secretary. 🙂
Thanks. Because that motion controller is trash!
Haha, yes, yes it is.
Thanks 🤘🏻
