The fact that you can let friends or family wear the goggles while still controlling it using the DJI fly display on a phone or iPad is really cool, IMO.
Wonderful Honest review/presentation. Are they eagles up there with you? I just received the Mini 3 Pro & DJI shipping the Goggles & Motion Stick this week here in Australia.
hey thanks a lot for the video. I'm looking forward to get this for my Mini 3 Pro. Can you tell me about the functionality of second screen? I mean, is it possible to plug a phone or tablet on the googles integra? nobody have showed that yet
I'd imagine it's the same as every other DJI fpv setup, so yes it should work to duplicate the display to a phone or tablet when connected directly through the usb-c port on the Goggles with the DJI fly app. I'll test it out soon and provide confirmation 👍
I got this to now for couple of weeks, and I must say...it's so so.Its fun but that's all what it is, for video purposes it will not replace the RC controller,
To the naked eye....the video looks smooth while flying with head tracking.....but from my experience.....i get many small jerks in my videos when i enable head tracking ....specifically with the Mavic 3 classic and mini 3 pro....have you tried recording with headtracking on...?
It's still too early to throw your hard-earned cash into this trash can but I do believe it will improve with time, hopefully in the future they'll drop the GPS b******* and let it fly like a real fpv drone. Surfing CPA Hawaii
I don't see what is the purpose of using the DJI Motion Controller with the DJI 3 mini pro or the DJI 4 mini pro if you can't do flips like a a regular fpv drone because the concept is from an F-16 jet that's how you fly them i'm talking about the real jet not a RC hobby jet i have regular fpv drones i would love to do flips with my mini 4 pro.
You can map the 1x 3x and 7x zoom function to the C1 button. Can't get access to the Intelligent modes though. A massive financial outlay for reduced functions. Utterly pointless. I had the MP2 with the white goggles and full access to the screen for changing things. This move by DJI to prevent the goggles from working like they did in the past, is retarded. Probably because they want to push customers to buy the MC2. Not for me. Thoroughly disappointing.
Heres my question.....the Mavic Classic 3 can shoot 5.1k videos at 50fps......however whenever i fly my Mavic classic 3 with the goggles and motion controller, i am unable to set it to 5.1k, i dont see the option anywhere, only for 4k 60fps. Can you help me with this, i bought the Classic Mavic to shoot in 5.1k, but it doesnt seem like i will be able to with the goggles and motion controller. please help
Many features like zoom, mastershots, etc.. are not available when paired with the motion controller and goggles. Most likely to maximize safety. Seems like 5K wouldn't really be an issue, so maybe a future firmware update will enable it.
100% agree.....most drone pilots dont care much for the head tracking feature....but are missing out on full control of the camera and getting more dynamic shots
Which drone do you fly with head tracking......? I began flying my mavic 3 classic with head tracking and noticed the head tracking feature may be causing jerkiness in my footage....have you experienced that in any of your head tracking footage..?
The Mini 4 pro now works with goggles and motion controller2. The range on the motion controller 2 is about 1/2 of my RC2 controller.

I totally agree - I was impressed, but haven't found myself itching to use it very often

Do you know if they've updated the function to be able to zoom, access telescoping lens etc with the RC Motion 2 controller?

It’s not worth it
yeah, you're not wrong haha - neat , just too niche for most
The head movement stuff would be fun once you get used to it, I already duck anyway lol
Haha, yeah I'll have to give it a few more tries to see if I can get used to it. I certainly don't mind having it available as an optional feature.
Nice review!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

@@rossmandrone yes kinda makes no sense.....i appreciate your response 👍
Once you get the hang of head tracking it is a game changer in recording more dynamic, natural looking flights.
