Another video’s comments mentioned new procedure to pour the oil into the filter housing. Allegedly helps prevent oil starvation during the next startup. Soot build up led to spun bearings occurring too frequently after oil changes so Mercedes updated the procedure.
Actually you can hand tighten the oil pan plug and oil filter wrench without tightening because of the negative vacuum, within the system, will tighten it by itself. My buddy who is a mechanic says too many people over tighten it causing more problems for him to untighten it. Great video! Both of you are super awesome!!!

It is so confusing, because some dealership will include that in Schedule A, and some only in Schedule B, but what we understand so far is maybe at 20k schedule A, but since our van only has 10k, we are not doing the fuel filter yet. What is your opinion? Otherwise, there may be a new video on DYI fuel filter soon. LOL
@@vincentesq interesting… yeah two dealers near me both require a fuel filter change at 20k and 40k etc. (and transmission at 40k) That said not saying I’m correct lol. Trust me I’d rather not spend the $1200 for service A. You and your wife have a great channel; and she did an awesome job with that oil change!

Yep, my husband says Mercedes always have larger oil capacity than other brands. That’s his experiences with our Mercedes car and other cars that he changed oil.
