      Did you have to drain the tank?

    • @dyna-mikesmotogarage645
      @dyna-mikesmotogarage645  3 года назад

      @corbin stiller no I didn't, but you will spill gas if you don't. You have to reconnect that line the crosses from one side of the tank to the other quickly if your tank is full. Just disconnect one side lift the tank over the frame and reconnect.

      There is a push connecter in the bottom of tank. Forward to the end of video and I show it there!

    So the ignition lock and speedo have to come off? Great video man. I have to tank my tank off my 2010 FXDWG. I'll be saving this video. Would've liked to the speedo removal and actual tank removal but good start my man!!! Plz lemme know about taking the ignition lock and speedo off. My ignition lock is right there as well. Ty again!

      I don't have an ignition lock but the speedo panel is just 2 screws and the whole panel just pops right off. Couple quick connectors you can unclip if you need to. Appreciate it bro 👊

      @@dyna-mikesmotogarage645 RUclips never even notified me you responded to my question! I'm back looking at your video again I'm getting parts and wrenching this weekend. I now understand how the entire center cluster un-bolts. My manual says the odometer reset button must be unscrewed also. So I think that's my final question. The little odometer reset button......did you have to disassemble that? Thanx again man, and hopefully you're still riding!
      FTW

      @@solo_dolo8184 so on my 2011 dyna Street Bob I didn't have to, but it's been a couple years I don't remember if I just let it hang or if it came off with the quick connect clips and I took it right off the bike. Good luck bro, let me know if you need anything else.. and yeah it doesn't notify me either haha. Always riding - to bad Laconia was rained out most of the week. 👊

    Nice tutorial.
    I’m swapping the stock tank for a Paughco Fat Bob tank. (Part of my chopper build.)
    Is it considered an easy swap? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
    Thank you for your knowledge!

      Thanks for watching. What year is the street bob and fat bob? I believe that the fat bob tank bolt pattern is slightly different then the streetbob. From what I've read you may have to replace the fuel filter, dash, speedo etc. If you are looking to have the fat bob tank look then you may be looking at replacing a few other pieces as well. If you just need a new tank I know many of the dyna tanks are interchangable

      I should say also I don't know specifically about the Paughco tank, if you have all the fat bob extras you may need to swap some over is all.

    If you hire the girlfriend to film for you, please use the phone in landscape not portrait so the image will fill the screen. Kinda annoying…..
