Probably the worst comparison you will find on the internet 😆 LOL. The Peavey was stereo (2 takes, one panned L and the other R) but lemme doble check if the process of rendering the video ended it up messing with the audio.
Peavey was the original metal amp designed for the common man as they were a fraction of the price of a Marshall and could sound like one and also had way more gain on tap than any Marshall did for pennies on the dollar, Peavey and Crate are the 2 best budget friendly great sounding amps that people sleep on but can deliver some dynamite
I got a trantube 258 efx(red stripe)housed in 1x12 cab with a eminence legend speaker. Since its 25 watts, i wonder how it would compare? I can already say the engl still had loads more low end. But i bet it gets closer
The 258 is great! Yes, I think they will come closer by using the same speaker/cab, or by mod your 1x12 housing. I would recommend to change the speaker yes! and also try open vs close back. It is quite easy to do these mods.
If the Rage is hooked on that Boogie cabinet, the comparison would be more faithful. Perhaps, hook the Engl on the 8 inch speaker of the Rage for another comparison.
You are 100% right on that (if I intended to do a "scientific comparison" ). My intention was to compare what you get with 2 different budgets. In other words, is the ENGL worth it the extra cash??
3:05 Peavey mono, Engl Stereo? What kind of comparison is this? OMG 🤦♂

Yes, absolutely! That was the target audience and they pretty much nailed the goal of an affordable "tube-like" metal amp.
As a Peavey fan I love this but I would really love to see both amps hooked into your Mesa 412 and compared against each other using the same 412
I'll start adding this to my videos! thanks for the suggestion.
I’ll cancel my Engl Fireball order after watching this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL, it wasn't the purpose of this video. Please keep the order 😁, it's worth it the extra bucks.
I'd like to see comparison of FB25 and that EVH
Working on it, it's coming soon ! 🤘😎
