Flew a 747 from Seoul to Atlanta after heart surgery. That biz class seat was a true blessing. I doubt I could have sat upright for 13 hours. I’d love to fly the 747 again.
Iirc Singapore Airlines used to fly their 747 from SG to KL two times a day, or was it 777 I don't rmb but was it crazy regardless cause it's just a 45min flight
Lufthansa uses their 747 during the summer to fly from Germany to popular Spanish sea side destinations. It’s limited but it’s the only way in Europe to fly short haul 747. The other way is in Asia via Asiana Airlines, and Korean Air. Back in the day JAL and ANA use to fly the 747 on domestic routes within Japan not anymore.
The biggest waste of money is to fly business on short haul. Actually, anything less than 8 hours on business class is borderline money wasting. The longer the flight, the more the value even if you need to pay more.
Most planes don't have multiple floors, that's why she said she's excited to be on this exact plane model. Usually there's a small upstairs which is not for passengers, only for cabin crew to rest on their break (I learned that from Jeenieweenie).
@@katimillard5924 Boeing 747 (the original jumbo jet) and Airbus A380 are the only commercial planes that have floors. From hospitality stand point, the plane was not as sustainable for businesses and the only thing it was used for was advertisement of luxurious 2 floor airbus… a problem that our industry has been having a problem with since 60s
I wish as someone with POTS that these seats were the norm tbh. flights are awful because my legs become heavy with blood pooling and it takes a few minutes to get used to walking again after sitting with legs dangling for more than an hour.
As someone with POTS, cEDS, AAI, degenerative disc disease, etc, this is the only way I can continue to travel long distances. Don’t forget that not all disabilities are visible.
@@LAXtoLuxury then I am so glad you are able to use these seats, I only wish they were much more common ❤️🩹. My family doesn’t really understand how draining and painful flying is for me so I doubt they’d want to pay extra because these seats are not the norm.

Lmao if they have so much space why don’t they make seats more comfortable for everyone not just people who can afford to upgrade. Like it is obvious that economy seats are literal torture devices but I have always heard that they can’t change it bc the don’t have enough space…

I love your video style, and I agree the bed arrangement is smart - I do disagree with the idea that lie-flat seating is useful to an able-bodied person(not saying you are, but generally speaking), for a 2 hour flight. To me, that seems like an unnecessary expense to pay business class fares for such a flight - and I wouldn't be surprised if there's an equally nice lower-carbon option for such a short trip.
