A lot of complainers in the comments, this video single handedly help me remove the metal backing without breaking anything. Amazing video, great instructions from a great repairman, thank you very much kind soul for the useful information.
You are the best! I watch 20 videos and still no sence or progress on removing the back without damage. THEN I found your clip on whats going on inside and then I got it. Took me about 2 minutes and I had the back off my 65 inch samsung. Replaced the remote control sensor and snapped the back on in a flash. The TV never worked better and all 3 remotes access the TV just fine. You saved my TV from the junk pile. Thank you so much, scott
I do appreciate the fact you started with how the mechanisms work together to hold the back in place. Much better than videos jumping directly into prying. Makes sense to understand what you're working with prior to putting tools into action, if you've never done it before. And if you're searching for videos, you've likely not done it before.
I know I'm thick headed but, Awesome, a video on removing the back cover and you never show how you remove the back cover, you just started the video with the cover off. Brilliant!!
Why destroy the back cover to learn afterwards what is holding it down when you can see what's holding it down first, figure out the mechanic and work around it. It like reverse engineering.
@@Patch1stripeTVPartsI understand what you're saying but it would probably help to explain it as you did then showing you taking it off as you know these backs are extremely to crack and break them
Excellent description and patience on how to remove screwless back on Samsung TVs. Broke just about every plastic tab the 1st time I did it but this was on a tv with a shattered display and just wanted the boards. The 2nd go around will be on a repair and feel extremely confident the process will be flawless. Good work.
Well....thank you sir !The one and only video on you tube that made me understand how to take out the back cover of my UHD Samsung 49 4k smart tv...whiteout even demonstrate !!!! Many thanks from Athens Greece
That's a great amount of info, thank you, if I could make one suggestion, is to show how to get in there to remove the wires with the cover still on. I figured it out based on your info, but could be helpful for the future
Thanks for the video. I succeeded in removing the back cover because of your video. It's funny how you do not show the actual removal of the panel while making perfectly clear how to do it!
Really brillient video, well done and thank you for taking the time to post. What I still don't see is how you started to remove the back from the very start. The back appears to be clipped in around the edges of the TV. How do you go about prising of the back around the edges without damage to the screen? A video on that part would be really useful. Thank you
By the time I get to the upper corner, all the side clips are unlocked. I was hoping to see how you are actually getting in from that upper corner under the cover. I will be popping open one 85" Samsung TV tomorrow, and I will try your technique. Thank you for the video.
Got a 70 and I need to replace boards for a black screen issue. It was only 3yrs old and over warranty by 23 days but for 160 bucks to replace parts it might be worth fixing instead of throwing away? It was $900
What is the model number? Have you taken off the back of the TV and gone through the process on my video to narrow down the problem? Are you just throwing $160 in parts at the problem?
Just saying with the special tool it only takes about 30 seconds to remove it just sliding it around the tool this method is new would probably help showing with the back on instead of with the back already off this back is extremely easy to break.
@@Patch1stripeTVPartssame thing is happening to mine. It's a 75in the same as this video. I'm assuming it's the backlight but can't figure out how to get to it...

How much pressure is need to reattach the back of the TV?
Quite a bite to push it into those plugs. Look at the back and the chassis and you will be able to understand the mechanics.
Thanks!

It would help if you showed EXACTLY how it was removed and then re-installed. Too long video for a bunch of word salad
