There was a whole discussion on X (aka the artist formerly known as Twitter) about single moms making it a point to fill their stockings as well: a few even mentioned that they do it to show their kids you should show yourself love. Some married women said they do it too because their husbands have never once put anything in their stockings and they were tired of having an empty stocking, as well as the fact that it made their kids sad to see that mom's stocking was the only empty one.
This was my first Christmas married. Me and my husband did a little date where we got stuff for each others stockings and got stuff for the dogs stockings. We did something sweet, something savory, something useful, and something cool/cute. The useful thing we got each other was a screen protector for our Apple Watches. We mostly started this so that we have a tradition in place for kids where we get stockings filled together.
This year my husband and I stuffed all the stockings together. We also make the decision to not get each other gifts but instead buy household items that we have been needing all year round. Opening the gifts up this morning was so comical. My husband and I were genuinely so excited to open up a box of Pyrex containers and a new coffee maker. The kids got a kick out of our excitement.
My husband and i did this too. We ended up putting the money towards new kitchen appliances and just ended up getting one or two small things just to open on christmas day. You know youre a real adult when you get excited about kitchen supplies and household items that you need lol
My hubby and I gifted his parents a microwave they were so happy 😂 they've needed it for a while after theirs stopped working and they're oddly expensive?? to just buy when theres other things/bills
@@Peytonscomet Yes!! We found this out as well .. the one I picked out was like $250 which was.. Fine.. but then we measured the space above the stove and found out that we have a rare size microwave and the only one we could find to fit was almost $500 🙄 then installing it was a nightmare too.
I've made the tradition in our family that while we are out Christmas shopping, everyone picks up something small for the stocking. Well, starting at age 12. If they picked candy.... everyone gets some candy. I always get them comic books or magazines. Their Dad, even after we divorced, always dropped off something small to include. And now that we are all grown, it's pretty special this year (it's Christmas day here). The boys all went together and bought me a beautiful little heart necklace. Was such a fun Christmas together. I do ours at noon - 2 pm. That way, they have the morning with their families, and it gives opportunity for Christmas Eve or Christmas Dinner at their spouse's parents.

Coffee grounds are great for gardening if you wanna save your grounds for that, I work at Starbucks and we give the grounds away to people for gardening
I can’t remember if there’s any super spicy scenes in a Throne of Glass but I know for sure the rest of the series leans more towards adults like ACOTAR!
I only put Lemon rinds down my disposal for the smell. The rest I compost in our yard debris curbside pick up [but they don't have that service everywhere].

Stockings are a huge thing in my family! We fill them with toiletries and fun little things that maybe they haven't tried yet. Like fun lip balms or soap. We will also do snacks that are maybe more expensive than what we'd buy on a regular day. Like artisan meat sticks or worldly candy from World Market. Merry Christmas!

My partner fills my stocking and my mom still makes me one. We have ham Xmas eve and we also have the feast of the seven fish.. we r Italian ( say it like your mom! ) lol. On Xmas day we have prime rib scallop potatoes with asparagus and then we have spinach with garlic olive oil and rep pepper flakes… this year we made red Christmas cabbage! It was sooo good! For dessert we had mini cheesecake and a Bosch Noel ( a chocolate cake with crème in the shape of a log ) it was really delicious. This wasn’t the best Xmas I have ever had, but it was still special. I was in a bad mood most of the day that I just couldn’t shake. Thank you for Vlogmas! It was amazing and Merry Christmas to you and yours!! ❤

Merry Christmas! My parents always do each others stockings. Most of it is them buying the others favorite candy. Sometimes they’ll be gift cards (car wash is a fav!) or small gifts like a puzzle that they may enjoy 😊
I didn't grow up with stockings. Growing up we went from apartment to a house with a fireplace and we started to hung them up at the house but still never stuffed them.

Merry Christmas to the whole crew! A Clockwork Orange is my favorite book! But you’re right, it’s like another language and can be difficult! Maybe try the movie first! I think being so familiar with the film helped me understand the book a lot more!
My dad stuffs our stocking with candy, way too much candy. He has every year, and he puts other stuff in there that's small. Like earrings when I used to wear them or ornaments, is what my mom would put in there.
I finally got my hands on Better than Bouillon but I got the vegetable one because I had a random urge to stock up on a bunch of canned vegetables and its been YEARS since I had canned veggies but that stuff with a bit of stock makes the veggies taste incredible.
When my kids were small i put stockings up but they are all grown and moved out so i dont put anything up i never put anything up for me because it dont get anything my husband works so much and idk really. Me and hubby make lists and we switch and buy some of the things on each others list .It was 67 and i had the doors and windows open Sunday crazy and Monday was 60 but raining.. Yea it was crazy here Friday when i went out.I am just feeling back to myself after two weeks with Mr.COVID. I think it's Blum like a bum ..lol Merry Christmas to you and the family ..

You did make me remember that my Grandma used to buy my cousins and I scratch tickets and a chocolate covered cherry at 711 and she would let us scratch them in the car in the back seat and if we won, she would go right back in to get our winnings for us. That was so much fun.
