Make sure you call Marshall's corporate or find a # for them to report to. My husband is a retail manager. Most people don't call to report great experiences, only bad. It's good for the store and it's great for the employees to hear that.
What a wholesome moment at the end when you were smiling at Nahla while she was telling you how much she loved it! I’d tell me kid she’d better love it if I invested 11 hrs of my life 😆
Nala’s braids ended up coming out amazing. As a biracial person who is now 40 years old and had a white mother and a black father back in the 80s and early 90s there just wasn’t a lot out there for how to do our hair. My mom gave me two little pigtail braids every day of elementary school and then I asked to get my hair relaxed in sixth grade, well more like begged and that’s how my hair stayed until I was 30. I decided then to go natural 10 years ago and it was the best decision I’ve made. I love that you took the time to learn how to do biracial hair properly. I would highly suggest satin scrunchies. Once I really started taking care of my hair it thrived. My profile picture to the left that’s my actual hair from my first time straightening it in at least half a decade. That was last October and I basically straightened it so I could get a good trim. Edited: I also use a satin bonnet and a satin pillowcase.
This is my experience too growing up biracial. Luckily, I was the second daughter so my older sister got the worst of it so by the time I became of age, she was the one doing my hair and not my mom, bless her heart. She did her best but definitely had no clue how to do textured hair
8:10 Starbucks has not been hitting for me either. I’ve been living at Dutch Bros these days! 32:11 in the future if she has a reaction to the synthetic hair, presoak it in apple cider vinegar. 34:10 you can dip the hair in hot water. Boil it first and dip the hair in. 42:18 she looks so pretty! She can use some foam to put on the wavy pieces so they don’t tangle too bad. You did a great job!!
I can’t go a day without a shower. I completely agree with you. I can’t get in bed comfortably and sleep if I haven’t showered. If I went to the store, I’m dirty. If I used the bathroom, I’m dirty. My butter also does the same thing!
I absolutely loveee this vlog. I’ve been watching for a few years and watching her family grow and all the fun lunch making and adoption of the cats and buying her first home brought me such good vibes. Honestly helped me get through law school and other times. And this hair clog with nala is by far the most feel good video so far. Like remember when nala and jaden were just little kids. it’s almost too cute and happy lol. If I get to be a mom I hope I’m half as amazing as her
To answer nahla, question no to the hair tie, get a silk or satin hair tie , and a hair bonnet and pillow case. It'll be much better for your hair. And to sarah, you did a great job on her hair. Her is a tip for next time, part her hair all a once, so it will be quicker next time 😊😊😊
Okay, here is my go to order at Starbucks right now. Keep in mind I order this in the app because I CANNOT handle ordering this in real life 😂. Iced Shaken espresso Blonde espresso Oat Milk No vanilla syrup Add 2 pumps of pumpkin sauce Pumpkin cream cold foam In a Venti cup. *Chef kiss*
Here’s some braiding tips momma 1-dip the ends of the hair in boiling hot water -this helps seal the braid so no glue no rubber bands and it helps it not be so stiff 2- it’s A LOT easier to use human wavy hair like I tips or just cut hair off the weft seal the top with the jam and add it as your braiding 3- doing “knotless” braids is way less tension on the head 4-oil scalp at least once a week & condition braids especially where your natural hair ends to give it that moisture 5-leave the baby hairs out But nahla looks gorgeous you did a great job ! Lol I don’t even braid my daughters hair I take her to my sister who does it for a living but way to tackle on the task cus it’s not cheap and it’s not easy at all lol way to go! Love to see it 🤎
I actually follow a Facebook group, called secrets of a cleaning lady, and they have a bunch of cleaning professionals there, and it gives a lot of insight over what to actually expect so you know if your current cleaners are just not up to par or if your expectations are too high, etc. and if you go the deep clean route, but only want them to do certain rooms it may be about the same as you were paying to begin with for the month 🤷🏻♀️
Every single time I watch a new video (every time you upload- see what I did there?!😂) I have a new NEED on the list. The dang Brie pumpkin thingie from last season (got that) lol the damn elf cookies (they almost gone) and now I need the damn makeup eraser 😂 Thank you for always putting me on 🎉
Napa’s hair looks so good on her. Love it. For those scrunchy bands that look like the telephone cord, I’d say don’t get them. I have thin hair, and even though they stay, when you take them off. Your hair gets tangled up like Velcro and breaks off or pulls out. No matter how gently you try. You want soft and even stretchy silk that won’t damage your braids.
Nahla looks so dang cuteee! I love her braids, you did an amazing job ❤️ you are giving me inspiration to braid my daughter's hair (her hair is very similar to Nahla's).
I worked at Starbs for several years, and a seasonal-ish drink I'd recommend that isn't too much and will still give you that caffeine fix is: a dirty pumpkin chai (a pumpkin spice chai tea latte with a shot - or two - of espresso ORRR a cold brew with the pumpkin foam! (they have a PSL cold brew, but I believe that add that extra syrup IN the cup, but the foam itself is already quite sweet). On another note, been loving the vlogs lately!
She looked so beautiful! I’ve been watching you do her hair since she was a tiny little girl…been so awesome to watch❤ thank you for sharing. God bless the beautiful bond you have with you daughter 🙏🏼🙌
I love this vlog. I love the hair experiments. It looks so good! I wish my daughter would let me do this on her. Becky with the bad braids had everyone in an uproar 😂😂😂
Omg yesssssss the 1883!! Their French Madeleine is my ultimate! I’m going to try the pistachio next for my fall coffees. No one talks about this company and that is such a shame! Glad you like them too!
The Starbucks iced chai with pumpkin sauce is my FAVORITE! I’ve been drinking it for years lol. It’s not the one on the menu though, I learned the hard way it’s not the same lol.
The half up half down hair was so cute stoppp. The hair suits her so well. Cute bonding moment for yall can tell how she lit up seeing herself 💖 Edit: i have super thick, elbow length hair, maybe try scrunchies! Like the old school chunky fabric ones, definitely in style and are cute, i find they pull less and just hold the hair
The Let's Jam is great for braids, but it weakens the rubber bands. It us a thicker gel, a mix of a grease and gel. It is my preferred choice for singles or any type I f braid. Also, heat will seal the synthetic hair well. A dip in boiling water, sraying several inches from the scalp will seal down the braids. I have literally melted the end with a lighter, rolled between my fingers to secure.
Dude, im on city water thats literally yellow. Its so hard that if i showered daily my exzema would explode no matter how much lotion i use. I also grow my hair out and donate a foot of it every year or two, and washing it that often would make it so crispy. So i plan showers around what im going to be doing the next couple of days.
About the shower thing, some people just physically can’t do it everyday. For me I shower 3x a week because it physically is so hard for me to do with my illnesses and causes my chronic pain to flare up. So you never know what others situations are surrounding hygiene
My go to is a triple shot of espresso over ice with an extra splash of 2% or cream (whatever you prefer), 2 Splendas, and pumpkin cream cold foam or salted caramel cold foam 👌🏼
Sarah, you did such a great job on her hair. If you have a real black beauty supplies store like not a chain, you can get braiding gel there in a huge tub
I love the danon lite and fit! I'm not usually a yogurt person but it's not super sweet or chalky so I love it🤗 I started topping it with special k protein cereal (because it's thicker than other cereals and keeps its crunch throughout).
3 shots of blonde espresso over ice in a venti cup. 2 pumps white chocolate mocha. 2 pumps pumpkin. Splash of cream. Pumpkin cream cold foam... Saw it on tiktok and I am ADDICTED! It is so good every single time
For nahlas question about the hair ties, the plastic cord ones are great! I have curly hair similar to hers, but it’s not as thick, and they’re really easy to use and don’t ‘destroy’/flatten the curl like a regular hair tie does. Also, scrunchies are great for curly hair too. All I use are scrunchies, the cord ties, and small rubber bands for when i French braid my hair
Girlll I’m the same way about the showers!! 3 times a day minimum lol. I literally feel a film over my body! 🤣 & you snapped on her hair!! I might have to get that done after these box braids! ❤️✨

I was thinking also, they may have been getting ready to be inventoried.
@@sunshinegalkw9675yes! or a corporate walk thru
Hopefully it prompts them 2 keep up the good work.
This is true but I do. I'm vocal either way my experience goes. 🌈The more you know.
Wow Nahlas hair looks amazing...so pretty 🌷
keep us updated on how Nahla's hair lasts! it came out so pretty!
Nala’s hair looks so good. Way to go mom
There’s no way you ate these braids up like this 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What a wholesome moment at the end when you were smiling at Nahla while she was telling you how much she loved it! I’d tell me kid she’d better love it if I invested 11 hrs of my life 😆
I was just going to comment this too!! 🥰🥰
I know! So beautiful.

Nahla’s hair came out really cute! You can always twist the loose ends all together and dip them in hot water to seal ❤
I’m 33 and I STILL love putting on a fashion show for my parents on what I got!!
She looks so grown with the braids 🥹 It suits her so well! You can tell she loves it because she’s just radiating! ❤

The round telephone cords scrunches are so good. Especially with curly and or fine hair, it gathers up those little pieces of random hair really well.
And they don't leave that "bump" in your hair when you remove them. Just don't tie them too tight.
@@ttninjaxx so true. Great points!

Nahla's hair was a labour of love, but so worth it, she looks sooo good with them!! Nice job😊👍
You did an amazing job on our girl's hair!
It's shower day everyday. Sometimes its shower morning and night. But it's a hair wash, shave, exfoliate shower 1 to 2 times a week only.
I loooove your vlogs. I need your energy Sarah! I also need your energy to do hard things. I could never!
Hi, love your vlogs! The power setting on the microwave needs to be reduced to melt the butter. I have to use mine on 20%.
Thank you so much for the tip!
That never would've crossed my mind 🤦🏾♀️😅
"Your mom is all milk" lmao 😂

YES PLEASE to the TBR video, as well as a review for your actual reads. We’ve been deprived of your much-needed book vlogs, very excited for them!
Use silk scrunchies. Those phone cord things get caught in my hair. Nahla's hair looks so beautiful! You did a great job Sarah
Napa’s hair looks so good on her. Love it.

Binging your videos after a long draining day. Thankful for your videos. Such a nice escape! ❤
Same on the showers girl! I saw a tik tok of a mom saying something like they only shower their child once a month- I nearly pasted out!
Nighttime showers are the best ❤
Fun Vlog Sarah! Love Nahla's hair! Awesome job momma.

Nahla looks SO CUTE!!! I feel for your hands and back, Sarah!
GREAT JOB! Y'all did so good! would definitely suggest getting a big satin bonnet and satin scrunchies!
Love a 45 minute vlog first thing in the morning 🎉
The Starbucks iced chai with pumpkin sauce is my FAVORITE! I’ve been drinking it for years lol. It’s not the one on the menu though, I learned the hard way it’s not the same lol.

Omg really good job on the hair ❤
I just adore Nahla!
Nahla’s hair turned out so good! 🖤👏🏼
i LOVE those eco tools face brushes, i’ve been using them for years & they elevate the face wash process.

Nahla’s braids came out beautifully, especially for your first try! LOOOOVE your Jimi Hendrix tee 😁
I love Impress Nails. I usually apply on Sundays with glue and the sticky tabs and they last about 2 wks with reapplication.
You did soo good on her hair 😍 also I love the chai latte with pumpkin cold foam 😋 def my go to because I’m not a coffee drinker 😮
