The bookcase is perfect Lydia. As you said do not leave it in the house when you move. Would you consider putting armchairs in front of it now instead of a sofa so that some of the bottom of the bookcase can be seen. It really is gorgeous.
its probably too late. But Lydia herringbone flooring is one of the most timeless things you can do. It's VERY expensive to do that's why you don't see it often. but it's been around for centuries. It's absolutely beautiful. Definitely not trendy. :)

Why is it surprising? A lot of these high price point clothes are the same materials used for lower price point clothing - its only the name tag (that's tucked inside the clothes which nobody sees) that you are paying highly for....!

The Oscar DL dress is pretty but because it’s so fitted all the way down to the lower stomach and then it puffs out there, it just gives a big bubble gut effect. And it’s not fitted enough at the top to balance the bottom out!
If it fluffed out at the waist line it would be pretty but because it doesn’t go out until the lower stomach, it creates a very unflattering silhouette that I can’t imagine is flattering on any body shape!

Love, love the natural design of the spring garden. Just a note about hanging pictures. Yes, they are to be hung eye height in a gallery where you are standing. However, in a room where you are generally sitting, they look better hung lower because your eye height is lower when sitting. I personally think they look too high over the sofa and would prefer them to be hung lower. Cannot wait to see the colour you choose for the walls.
Definitely agree about hanging the beautiful artwork lower over the sofa. Pictures and furniture should create a balanced grouping. Love the cabinet! ❤️

Love the bookcases and I agree to put the chairs in front if it and not the sofa covering it? Over the dark walls in there now and hope to see a lighter paint color since the room is so dark without lights on? Yes artwork or wall decor should be eye level - most people hang things too high does depend if you hang something over something talk like a fireplace mantel etc.

Hi Lydia, I really enjoy your style and fashion sense but the Oscar dress is extremely busy and takes away from you and your beauty. All you see is a big dress with flowers coming towards you but you do not see the person. Also, I agree with others that the equestrian picture would be a better fit for the wall behind the sofa. It looks more modern, clean and elegant. The other two makes the room look dated. I do love your new lilly silk collection. It is both beautiful and elegant. Congrats!!

I just thought if you don't use those fabric swatches you should consider framing them and using those in your living room as a collage or layered in your new bookcase. I also love how you’re always open to what your followers think and yet you still maintain what is true to you. I am happy that you are in love with that Oscar DL dress and I do agree that the pattern is beautiful but I will say it hides your figure and did not complement your natural beauty. If you alter it I find you may have to alter not only the torso part but even the way it hangs on your shoulder it didn’t seem flattering it looked very boxy. You know how to get the right alterations in order for your clothes to fit you perfectly so I know if you really love this dress you will make it work! Keep shining beautiful!✨

I think a massive vintage tapestry of a pastoral scene would look incredible on your large lounge room wall, rather than framed art. Especially once the walls are painted a muddy soft green. It will also soften the room texturally and add to sound buffering. I’ve noticed this is becoming quite the thing to do with a lot of influencers in grand homes in America and Britain so you’d have to be quite savvy in sourcing one.
"The Tapestry House" is a good site for this.

I feel like the Lily silk dress would look really pretty with a puffy slip. Like tulle. It is very flattering when you pull it away from your body so using undergarments to help it stay that way just makes sense.
Don't know a lot about corn, but it has to be at least 70F for it to grow. If you've had milder weather that might be why.

The Faille also has a Hollyhock column dress which is lovely! Perhaps the tailoring could be done in store? The pattern is lovely and I would love to see you try on the column version! A little cinching will do wonders on your frame! Very classic midi stunning pattern 🌺🌸
paintings a half-foot lower. it all is about placement as well, the couch being there... means they should actually sit a bit lower. the scale of the works might be off as well.. the art usually tells you where it needs to go.
I love the print on that dress! I personally find a-line dresses more flattering on me, and that one has a slightly lower waist, but it suits you!
