In this episode, myself and Harry from Coaster Bot uncover the most interesting secrets and facts of Phantasialand in Bruhl, Germany, one of the most unique parks in the world.

Yes I want to see more about Fly please!? I visited Phantasialand back when I was 13 and wasn't into the big rollercoasters, looking back now I regret not trying them! I hope to go back one day so if I can plan it around Fly opening that would be amazing

I have been there when I was 11 years old and I didnt ride Black Mamba because I had fear. It would have been my first coaster with inversions :c. Also Chiapas and Klugheim (Taron and Raik) werent builded then. But I experienced Mystery Castle, Riverquest, Temple of the Nighthawk, Colorado (6 times I love this coaster) and one of the Winjas. I was so overwhelmed by Winjas when I saw these trackelemts I didnt even know to be allowed/existing xD I cant wait to come back an ride all these again and more of course :D

My home park, really great! They truly made the best of what they have! Theming is world class, the rides are mostly great and the hotels are outstanding aswell. Really do look forward to Rookbourgh!
And I will never understand people, who move next to a theme park just to then complain about the noise. That is like shooting yourself in your own leg and then complain about the pain. Well, duh?!
Phantasialand is amazing! And sadly the problem with locals complaining seems common with a lot of Theme Parks these days. It's a shame, since they need to realise it's bringing a lot of trade to their area too. 👍
@@ScrewyLoops The people around Europapark in Rust done a great job of realising how much income this brings. It is not only a problem with themeparks, the same happens with racetracks aswell. People just seem to be getting more stupid by the minute.
Been meaning to visit Phantasialand for a few years now, gonna have to book a trip for F.L.Y next year

Mistery castle's ride cycles change at 2pm.
XtraKnusprig There's 3 different programs on Mystery Castle, the first one being the shortest and the third one the longest. They switch them based on the length on the queue, or if you ask them really nicely.

One correction: Klugheim actually isn't an expansion for the park. It replaced the old western town and mainly the "Silbermine" attraction, an old Schwarzkopf Darkride. The park itself is actually not allowed to expand at all although they have been working on expansion plans for years now. I don't think the activists you mentioned protested against Klugheim but rather against the expansion plans of the park.

In-depth Video of Fly would be interesting But sadly Phantasialand acts like F.L.Y doesn't exist and so they are barely any information :(

My favorite coaster of all time is tatsu, I can't wait to get out of the country and find my way to phantasialand for fly (I also need to get to flying dinosaur)

If you're referencing the FC Köln story - it's not even remotely true. That rumor was nothing more than just a fun filler article of a local newspaper. I'm a huge supporter of both Phantasia and that football club and to even think that they could have - as speculated - at one point fused into one is absolutely bonkers. Almost as if Leiceister City or Sheffield United would become the Alton Towers FC. Even though revenue-wise Phantasialand probably was slightly bigger than FC Köln in the late 80s, Cologne back then was (and in the eyes of the locals still is) a somewhat prestigous club - founding member and first champion of the bundesliga, 3x winner and at the time the rumor is referring to still a title contender. Absolutely 0 chance they would have sold out to adopt a theme park in their name. This story is merely based on a long existing partnership - Phantasialand have been jersey sponsor for Cologne's Youth teams for a long time - and because during the late 70s and 80s sponsorship was a fairly new - and wild - concept, it is possible that the park owners had very much one-sided phantasies (see what I did there?) about expanding their relations into unthinkable regions. In fact the rumor is dismissed by the former manager at the time in the very same article. Taron has a boosted mode. In this Mode it is faster than 117kmh but it is to fast for people to ride and the g forces are to high!
I knowed everything but it is my favorite park and I live in Germany.

That one isn't an Intamin Blitz model 👍 it is faster, but Red Force is also faster. They're just classified as Intamin Launch Coasters possibly due to Blitz coasters being more compactly designed ☺

I know that park better than you..i drive every year on my birthday to it...i ride Taron about 20x...
Colorado isn't the thing we think of when we think about the wild west. The entire western states are the West. I live on the west coast. Thats why it was called Oregon trail. Trail from east to west. Colorado is not a great coaster name and im curious why every single park in Europe has a western American theme? Thats kind of stupid. We dont have Europe theme shit everywhere. Why not take from your own country and have a dark ages theme or perhaps kill the king area or give smallpox to world theme? Just saying Europe has some dirty dark past inspire from that shit
First off: you need a chill pill. It's european taste, thats why. We have grown up fascinated with the USA and the wild west has always played a big role in our entertainment culture. From Karl May books to wild west movies featuring Bud Spencer and Terrance Hill. It's just something tacky we like about the US (and overdo it alot to play to the clichees) - just as you do with german theming always beeing bavarian. No need to get so angry about that though.
Every child used to play Cowboy and Indian when children were still playing in the streets instead of in front of a screen and nobody cared about political correctness. So yes, of course every theme park had a „Wild West“ section. Phantasialand no longer does and Colorado Adventure is now a part of the Mexico 🇲🇽 area…which sort of works as the Colorado river also runs through Mexico.
