Do you know your health care rights? If you have been denied or delayed care by your health care plan, the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) can help.
File an appeal without fear - no retaliation or loss of coverage. Plus, it’s FREE, and help is available in all languages.
First, file a complaint, sometimes called an appeal or grievance, with your health care plan. Then, after 30 days, if your appeal is denied or you are unhappy with the outcome, you can contact the DMHC Help Center at 1-888-466-2219. Appeals to the DMHC are successful in 7 out of 10 cases.
