Would love to see a video Josie on how you keep up your blonde hair! What you get done, good shampoos, conditioners, how to keep it fresh and bright/no yellow, etc.
Thank you so much! SO SO helpful! I am 15 and I look up to you so much all these tips are always so helpful and especially this one considering I recently cut my hair short also! 🤗❤️
I’m Karen and I love all the videos you and Grace do . Would you consider showing how you and Grace choose your own outfits and your baby’s ? And how you do your baby’s hair or your little sisters’? Blessings on your channel !♥️
Oh my goodness!! Loved this video Josie! It was so helpful! Thank you for all your helpful tips! May God bless you & Grace with all you two do with Effortless Beauty! 🤍
@@EffortlessBeauty I would love to hear ya'lls story on how you got to cosmetology! And some advice to one who loves hair and makeup and wants to use that for the Lord. Ive snuggled with trying to figure out how to use this gift for hair an makeup for the Lord. Im unsure how to use it for the Lord. I'd love to hear ya'lls thoughts on it!!!
Great video! I’m going to get my hair cut when things open back up and I was like “hmm. I know how to curl long hair but I don’t have much experience with curling short hair!” So this was perfect. Would love to see a hair routine video in the future💞 -Maddy
By the way I love your hair styles and I tried this curling trick rn and it works!! Bc I just got a hair cut to and it’s just a tiny bit shorter than yours thanks for sharing this trick!!
Hi Sarah, everyone's hair texture is different so sometimes different things work better. For my hair I have tried both but I find the curling iron works better :) Thanks for the input!
i have this same curling iron just curious what heat setting do you use? the highest? i find sometimes i will have that "burnt" smell after!! otherwise, i LOVE the look!!! (:(:
Could you explain the technique you use of slowly pulling your hair through the clamped curling iron until it’s mostly in? I hadn’t seen it done that way until more “recently” and can’t figure it out. I learned to use standard curling irons by clamping it toward the end and then twisting the iron (when young)
Me too! I’m struggling! And when I get on the left side of my head (non dominant side) I can’t seem to get it to slide thru the clamp without it moving up towards the screw that holds the clamp on and then my hair gets stuck and I loose the tension and the whole curl!! Slow demo PLEASE!!! I grew up in the 80’s and we did it soo different! Lol
Love this!! How do you keep the end of your hair from getting stuck in the clamp part close to the screw?? I always get stuck on that! Maybe my hair is just too long!
Do you have any recommendations/tips & tricks for someone who has VERY thick hair (enough for 3 people - thick hair elastic will only go around a pony tail twice thick)? I love the way your curls look but struggle because of how much hair I have
My hair isn’t short but it’s isnt super long either. I would like to get that curling iron but I’m not sure if I should go with the 1 inch or the 1 1/4 inch. Which would you recommend? My hair goes an inch or 2 below my shoulders.
What heat setting do you have the curling iron on? I bought this curling iron and everything I clamp it onto my hair it leaves a dent and I’m wondering it it’s because i have the curling iron too hot.
Hey Myia, I set my babyliss pro to a medium/low heat setting. It's a professional curling iron which means it is made for all hair types and can get extremely hot. I would recommend a medium setting unless you have very thick, corse hair that doesn't curl very well.
Just seeing this now, for some reason, a year later. Oh, if I had as much hair as you do! If I used that size barrel my hair would just go totally flat, like a roll of toilet paper unrolling. But your hair is gorgeous, thanks all your styling tips.
Recently my hair has been getting super greasy usually by the end of the day that I have washed it, AND it will not hold a curl at all! It’s straight within an hour of curling it (or less) and I’m stumped! Why is like this? Your help would be greatly appreciated, my hair has been a big issue lately 🤦🏻♀️ I’ve tried changing my shampoo, conditioning more, conditioning less, I’ve started taking a hair vitamin, and I’ve been drinking more water! Please help!!
Hi Carolyn, I would recommend using a clarifying shampoo, shampooing twice in a row to clean your scalp fully. Very often a hydrating shampoo or something like that will create buildup, making your hair more greasy. I hope this helps :)
Yes!!! This is my problem too. And I have very straight hair also that doesn’t hold a curl :( I just started using Neutrogena’s clarifying shampoo last week, so I’ve only used it once. I think it helped, but can’t tell just yet 😂
Suzanna Carter it’s so frustrating! My hair used to hold a curl for most of the day but as soon as a brush touched it became a pathetic “wave” if you could even say that! Can never understand how people can curl their hair once and the curls stay for like 3 days 😂 that’s a dream!! Haha will have to try out the clarifying shampoo for a while!!
Carolyn X I’m sorry Carolyn! I’m sure your hair looks better than you think!!! We are our own worst critics 😂 yes, I’ll try it once a week until the bottle is empty and see how it goes! I’m sure it will work very well 😊
I have unmanageable hair I can only straighten it I can't curl it curls won't stick I've also tried the heatless stuff and that tacky hair stuff and if there such a thing as loose curl perms or no help me
This is definitely not for beginners. If you’re a novice, like me, and don’t want to end up frustrated, without curls, and a burn on your neck, I highly recommend watching a tutorial for beginners that walks you through the basics and moves at a slower pace.

That's a fantastic idea, definitely going on the video planning list. Thank you so much, Katie!

Thank you for doing this video!!! Just cut my hair a few months ago and I’m struggling to do stuff with it .This was a great help 💗
What size is the curling iron you are using!? I’m about to purchase a Babyliss after my stylist used it on me and I’m in love with my curls 🥰

Have you tried using a wand? I can curl my hair in just a couple minutes with it and it gives similar curls! I love it!

@@EffortlessBeauty Well your hair always looks so beautiful! Also you look great with both long and short hair!

I love your color of blonde, mine always seems to have more a a gold tint. Do you use blonde color or bleach? If color what colors do you use?
Hi Josie, love you and fam. what do you use as a heat protectant?
I have very thick hair, would you recommend the 1.25 inch or bigger? My hair length is about the same as yours. Thanks!
My hair isn’t short but it’s isnt super long either. I would like to get that curling iron but I’m not sure if I should go with the 1 inch or the 1 1/4 inch. Which would you recommend? My hair goes an inch or 2 below my shoulders.

Love you, sweetie, you look gorgeous 😍
Thanks Baby ;)
Kelton, you are very lucky to have 2 beautiful ladies (Josie and Willow), in your life 💕😊
Kids Smith I agree! I’m blessed far more than I deserve 🙏🏼❤️
Hi Josie! Is the curling iron 1.25 or 1.5 inches?
Hey Erin, thanks for asking! It's the 1.25 :) I'll put a swipe up to that curling iron on my insta story..

How do you make sure all the curls stay separated and you are not grasping hair you have already curled.

Beautiful 💕 so happy to see Christian people on you tube. Would love to see a day in the life\ house tour
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
What heat setting do you use?
Josie is it okay to use a wand instead? My hair is about 1 to 1.5 inches shorter so what barrel would you recommend? I have a 19mm, 25mm and a 32mm.
Theresa, a wand will create a slightly different curl but it will still be beautiful! Personally I would use a 32mm (1.5in.) barrel. Hope this helps!
@@EffortlessBeauty thank you so much I will give it a try.
Pretty
Thank you Angela!
:)
@@EffortlessBeauty You're welcome. Have a good night.
How old were you Josie when you had Willow?
What temperature do you set yours at?
Hey Chelsea, I just set my curling iron at a medium temp :)
Carlin Has your hair curling iron
Yep I showed her which one to get ;)

Butttttt.... your hair isn’t short?! My hair is short and that size iron would not put in a loose wave
What heat setting do you use?
I keep mine on medium/low :)
@@EffortlessBeauty thank you so much for answering! Is there a drug store alternative that you recommend for texturising spray?
