My mom (she is in early 60's) said they used to iron their hair with an actual IRON. Like, welding a heavy awkward iron where you blindly hope you just get the hair. Sounds terrifying.

I am seeing many things I wouldn’t do.
First one run over the hair should do it
can’t go over the same piece over an over... it will burn the hair.
Also if not all done in one perfect motion I get these weird heat lines or kinks something off maybe just my hair. does he say what temp? Seems she is at a lower than mine. If I go to low it won’t work.. so idk

@@Lauren-go1rb i do that all the time. use a curling iron as this method didn't work for my non-natural straightened hair.

Tip for when your curl is too tight - don’t use the iron to loosen it. That’ll be unnecessary extra heat. Grab the curl and pull it taut for a second or two. It will loosen. If it is only too tight in one spot, (for example - at the bottom), grab it from the middle with one hand and at the bottom/ ends with the other hand, and pull that section taut for a moment. Do this while the hair is still hot from the iron.
I have naturally long hair and I haven’t owned a curler in so long, thank you for making this because your girl has always had problems with curling my thick long hair with a flat iron

Heyyyyy!! So quick review! I’m almost 28, I’ve watched multiple tutorials throughout my years to get the straightener curl right and had NO luck with it. I watched your video ONCE and got it first try. The way you used the logo for reference helped me like crazy. THANK YOU, sometimes it just takes a different way of explaining something for it to click. Keep doing what your doing because you are definitely doing it right!

lol! there are so many ways to do it. There is No wrong or right way, as long as your are able to achieve the curl that is all that matters

Thank you for this tutorial! The trick with following the logo and how to turn it on either side of the head was what I needed to finally learn how to curl my own hair! I was so lost before, could never turn it the right way on different sides of the head, and then I always gave up. Great tutorial!

How long did you wait after you curled them before you brushed them out
@@tatum8304 if you referring to my comment--personally I didn't have to brush them out..they fell out after about 2hr...idk if clean hair or 2day old hair would make a difference or a different flat iron spray. Have your attempts been successful?
They were really pretty while they were in though...I think I used too much hairspray and it weighed them down. Good luck to you!

I can do that, but the hard thing is just finding the piece that needs to be curled

It's even harder when you curl a strand wrong, you dont realise then you look at your curls like "why are they so weak" while others aren't, so you need to individually curl those weak ones again and find them, then the strong ones get weaker, and you have to re do them too and THEN again theres some weak ones that you've curled wrong, and you have to redo it if you want nice curled hair... its soooooooo frustrating
I used to style my hair like this in Highschool but stopped and now I lost the knack of it - even after watching the video over and over but all is well, I just use my Chi Spin -N- Curl 🙌🏻 a miracle invention

Same... my hair isnt burnt tho since my straighter works with wet hair and doesnt burn hair dry or wet, but its definitely weaker like I've tried 10 times on the same strand and each one of those times I've held the straightener on it trying to turn it for like 20 seconds each, doesnt work, I try again and it gets worse... all of this is with 200°. I'm actually demented

@@user-hb9hi8np1f to be honest, i have them like a little bit over my eye length and it doesnt bother me at all!! if u have like hair clips u can easily clip them away for sports and stuff, u can also obviously get them longer but i like them at this length a lot. i also never had bangs before and i was super nervous but its really fun and not as scary or bad as u may think

I will say that, for me personally, it worked better with day 2 or even day 3 hair. It seems to not hold as well when I’ve just washed and blowdried.
