You are the only channel who explains things well enough for beginners, but also not so slowly that I feel like I need to skip ahead now that I'm a bit more experienced as a crocheter 🖤
Your videos are a God send I'm rubbish at reading the guides, you make things so simple. Please please could you do some videos on string of pearls and crochet succulents......
This is the video where I learned that the wrong way that I’ve been doing crochet my “single stitch” was a slip stitch :/ very helpful tutorials, even though I didn’t know how to do the half treble, I now know how to because this video went through those steps of how to make it.
I'm glad you like it 😊 It's really important when making the slip stitches not to pull too tightly as this can make it really hard to work into; try and work them quite loosely if you can and you should find it easier.
If I was to do this stitch for a blanket about 30” by 40”, how many yards/grams of wool would I need? Would 350 grams be enough? Or how big would the blanket be if I did it with 350g. Brilliant tutorial by the way. You are an AMAZING teacher. 🤩 PS: if I use a size 5.5mm hook with size 3 yarn, would it look roughly like yours?
I have just finished a blanket for my sisters baby using your tutorial! It looks amazing! I’m just really struggling to decide which border to use for this… please help!!
Yay, that’s great to hear! 😊 You can find some of my favourite borders here: blog.bellacococrochet.com/crochet-borders/ I also think a crab stitch border would look really nice.
This is a gorgeous stitch. Question, though… when you want to change colors at the end of the row, the common practice is right before you finish the stitch, you add the new yarn through and finish the stitch with the new color. Is it the same when you finish on a slip stitch? Because there’s not a way to pull the old yarn through and “finish the stitch”, so do you pull the new yarn through as if it was the old yarn? 😳 I was thinking about doing a temperature blanket in the moss stitch but this is gorgeous enough that I’d like to try it in this stitch, if I can figure out how to change colors. 😅
I think because it ends on a slip stitch I would be inclined to finish in the same colour, and then join and add the new colour at the beginning of the next row. You can just use your hook to pull the new colour through and tie it on, and then chain one and continue the pattern 😊
You're welcome! I have a blog post here with some of my favourite borders: bellacococrochet.com/my-favourite-crochet-borders/ with video tutorials available on my RUclips channel 😊
They are really very similar; the difference is that in row two for the even moss stitch you are slip stitching into the top of the slip stitches from the previous row, and making half trebles into the tops of the half trebles, whereas with the crunch stitch you’re slip stitching into the tops of the half trebles and making half trebles into the tops of the slip stitches. Hope that makes sense! 😊

👍.
😎
Hi there, I'm wondering if I'm missing something (that happens sometimes!!)...How is this different to your Crunch Stitch tutorial
Thank you! I was most confused!!
How to increase and decrease the stitches for a project?
So you only worked on the back loop for the entire blanket, right?
No, the pattern is worked though both loops of the stitch :)
Bella Coco it looks like once you start the 2nd row you only use hook through one loop, especially on the half double crochet?
Can I do this in the round ???
You do need to work this flat for the stitch to work properly 😊
Hello, would this stitch be suitable for a mans scarf please ?
Hi Leonie and Glenn I don't see why it shouldn't be :)
Bella Coco thank you, have a lovely day.
