    I've been crocheting for years, but I always mark the first and last stitches of any pattern. Single crochet and slip stitches sometimes become lost at the ends of rows! Thank you for these beautiful videos. They've been very helpful to me!

    Are you working in just the back loops?

      Hi Dorothy! I am going under both loops not just the back loops. Here is a written blog post about how to complete the stitch if that helps! daisyfarmcrafts.com/even-moss-stitch/

      What yarn are you using?

      It does look like only the back loops are being crocheted and the front loop left alone. How come?

    • @marcialacher3195
      @marcialacher3195 3 года назад

      I slowed it down. Slip stitches go through both loops but the dhc is definitely only going through the front stitch on most but not all of them. I need clarification.

      @@marcialacher3195 Marcia, you’re probably way more experienced at crochet now than you were a year ago leaving this comment, but in case you were still confused and in case others had the same question: when you do a short stitch (like a slip stitch) immediately next to a stitch that is taller, it yanks the “V” of the taller stitch down, so it isn’t necessarily clear when you’re looking at it from the other side of the work. It becomes much more apparent looking at the stitch from the top-down. The back loop of the HDC is indeed being worked through (both loops are) in the demonstration here, it’s just hard to see because that back loop gets tucked down/behind on the opposing side of the work.
