Apologies all for the out of sync audio on this vid - the YT encoding had a shocker for some reason when this uploaded. 😞
I really wish Simagic had at least rudimentary descriptions of what the accessories do on their website. I needed to watch this video to get a full understanding of what the haptic units do.
Great review mate!
Have you had your eye on the P1000s? Let us know if you have any questions! These pedals are really impressive!
Dude you talked about everything from lighting to measurements, but not about how the actual pedals feel. I cannot believe it.
haha sorry I thought I did! They feel fantastic, the throttle is softish, with good travel, which i like - there is an option to stiffen the spring up too, The brake is great - you can set the feel as you prefer. To be fair, i havent raced extensively yet with all the different combos on the brake, but the gt3 set up i used felt really good - roughly equivalent to the spring and soft elastomer setup i use on my VNMs at the moment.
Good video, could you answer one question please, does the throttle make a slapping noise when it returns to its neutral position, heard somewhere it did, could be a purchase changer
What's with the Noise? In the Race Beyound Matters video it sounds pretty awefull!? I mean the haptic motors.
But also what's with the throttle paddel when you let go fast? And what's with the clutch, die P2000 are very loud when the roller "stepps down" the rail?
This is NEARLY something I’ve been looking for. But I think they missed an opportunity. We need a pedal set that transmits slip data through the throttle for when you aren’t using TC. The ABS info from the brake is fine since that should allow you to drive in the sim like you would IRL (find the ABS engagement and modulate the pedal just enough to be at the pre-ABS limit.
since the haptics are controllable via simhub, shouldn't this be easily possible?
@@TheW8liftryes it’s possible, it’s called wheel slip in Simhub.
Great review!!! I hadn't really paid attention to what Simagic has been doing until recently. These pedals have my attention, especially with the prospect of a hydraulic option for the brake. Catching up on some older reviews, it seems like the Sim Pro Manager Software is a common theme. How has that evolved, given that the most recent review that I've seen which mentions it is about 8 months old as of the time I'm writing this comment?
Glad to help! The new V2.0 of the SimPro which was just released is a great improvement over an already solid software package. Its a strong selling point now for the Simagic kit.
The way I see it, Simagic is a hybrid of Fanatec and Simucube. Quality, comfortably priced wheel ecosystem (Fanatec) smooth high quality wheelbase, delivering detailed feedback. (Simucube). Dig what they're doing, can't go wrong with them.
How would you compare these with Heus sprint pedals? As I’m finally going from console play to pc and doing research on what products to purchase…
I do not have a rig. My desk setup would allow me to put these pedals against the wall. My chair does not move. I will not use the clutch pedal. Could these pedals be used on the floor?
I see simagic has the traditional p1000's and the p1000's RS. What is the difference??? Are they both compatible with haptic reactors?
If I initially buy the p1000 and buy the inverter to have the p1000i, I obviously have to swap the clutch to the throttle position and the throttle to clutch. Is this possible or am I missing something.
Its possible.
Race beyond matter did the same.
So…. Will you be reviewing the hydraulic mod? Was what I was waiting for on these pedals. Had a sneaky suspicion with it being so modular
Yes absolutely, watch this space! :-)
I need a long throttle plate (Heel-Toe) 😟...
any option for this pedals P1000 (just like the P2000 has)??
Good question, I will find out for you!
@@player1simgear Any news on the long throttleplate?
Do the haptic feedback attachments work with games like f123?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Yes they do, any game with a telemetry output now they work with Simhub too.
Do you think its better than meca cup1 pedals ?
Respectfully, I just don't understand how a video with such a blatantly obvious audio sync issue manages to get published. This is so easy to fix in post. 😢
Thanks Ryan, we agree! The sync was fine in post, something weird happened during the YT transcode. We have raised a ticket with YT, def not ideal!
Not everyone is pretentious enough to whine about it though. For that, we have the Karens.
I don't care about ABS feedback. What would've been great is to get haptic feedback on lockups, so you don't have to rely on muscle memory that much.
It's coming I believe.
Do the haptics work in simhub? I wonder if I can hack this to run on my fanatecs...
No, just in the Simagic software, I agree Simhub support would be epic though.
@@player1simgearit's coming. From a very good source (I know just some guy on YT telling you lol but genuinely) which I can't mention they have the software ready so will be coming soon. They have a heap of settings already sorted their end.
Would you recommend it over the VRS pedals? For me pace>immersion
I havent used the VRS pedals myself enough to really compare, but I reckon if you're fast on the VRS's you will be also on the P1000s - the key is precision i think and feel, and the P1000s have that in spades!
@@player1simgear thank you!!! I just dont even if those motors would make me faster
Is it only me but the audio isn't in sync with the video - tried two different browsers + phone.... :(
Nope!
Urrgg yeah youtube is being weird! It's well synced on the source footage, but some sections seem off on iphone after the youtube encoding for some reason! I look a bit like a ventriloquist in the middle there.. grrr 😞
Are the haptics coming out for the p2000 pedals as well?
Not yet as far as i know, let me check with Simagic though and see what they have planned!
Theyre being developed no eta but soon
Awesome review. Only thing is sound looks like out of sync.
Sorry about that, yeah the transcoding gods hated me on this one, and we picked up a gremlin somewhere along the way. Improvements will be made for all future vids!
Is the audio out of sync for anyone else?
Thanks yeah its a known transcoding screw up on this vid - only impacts some devices though it seems. We have taken it up with YT.
Sorry can not watch the video with the audio issues!!!
Thanks, yeah we know, the transcoding got all messed up for some devices. :-( Please stick with us, will be fixed for all future vids!
Then just listen...great info in this video and the images are not so relevant
