Original Video - • Best of Actors Breakin...
Video Source - @CarolBurnettShow
During the dentist skit, Harvey Corman, the guy in the chair, was laughing so hard that he wet himself.
Gone with the wind is a real classic!!!!!
The best part is that they kept in a lot of the ad libs. Tim Conway always did it, and in the scene when Mama yells insults, Carol Burnett hadn't heard those ones before.
They had a clever way of making the show. The actors would perform the script as written in the afternoon, they would break for dinner (where a few libations would be consumed), replace the audience, then they could go "off script" for the second. The earlier take was an insurance copy, but if the the later take was better they would use that. I was luck enough to go to a taping, but unfortunately is was the earlier. I found out later about this technique.
The improv on this show was insane and inspired.
The running bet was how long Korman would last until Conway broke him in each skit they were in. Their chemistry was really rare.
You wont see this anymore, live at least.
Live is the only way this happens. Recorded gets edified out nowadays.
Harvey Korman was easy prey for Tim Conway, but he made all of them break at one time or another, even Carol herself.
in 1979, Burnett starred in a TV Movie entitled "The Tenth Month" about an unmarried, middle-aged woman accidentally becoming pregnant, and deciding to keep the baby.
You have got to see Carol Burnetts spoof of Gone With the Wind, l think it was Gone With Breaking the Wind or some such.
A+ video!
Very funny!
Most of the time Tim Conway would go off script and adlib so they didn't know what to expect.
No, no: this one is my favorite: ruclips.net/video/M-YyJaJASTM/видео.html - the moment starts at about 6:30. We watched this during its first airing on tv, and we were all cracking up along with the audience and Carol. It was the introduction of the beloved Mother Marcus, and what an entrance!

And then there were the times they got it perfect: ruclips.net/video/QzObwaxTVLs/видео.html
This is very difficult stuff to get right!
