My chimney literally blew off the side of my house a few years ago, in February, right before a particularly bad cold snap. Since wood is our only heat source, my husband had to take half a day off work to spend hours driving around buying parts to put it back together. He worked well past nightfall, the house was freezing by the time he finished, and it cost us nearly $1000. I feel you. I'm six years into homeownership, and I'm just now getting to a comfortable place.

Thank you, love. Yes, those periods of life are terrifying. I've lost five family members in the last four years, and it feels insane. Unfortunately, I think this only happens more and more as we get older. I'll try to post as much constructive and positive stuff as possible! I know for myself, youtube vids can really help distract me from my troubles when I need it most.

Welcome back! Speaking of Halloween, I highly recommend Rock the Divine's RUclips ghost story/Halloween videos. The creepiest ghost stories I've ever heard. As for all the drama, I agree...they give me anxiety. I prefer channels about animals, spiritual/occult type content, cruelty free beauty, and the book tube community.

i understand what you mean about the state of youtube, things are so much more corporate and advertiser oriented. the most popular types of channels are never as viewer oriented and fun as the site was in something like 2009.

I’m so glad to see you again!! We purchased an 100 yr old home approx 6 yrs ago and every year there’s a new nightmare to deal with- basement walls caving in, ceilings falling down on me (my kitchen ceiling falling on me during dinner prep), termites, new a/c and THIS YEAR our water heater failed so flooded our basement and there’s $1000. Take it day by day hun!!! ♥️♥️♥️

There is far too much negativity around, it's like people think they can say what they like sitting in front of a computer screen/mobile phone cos they've distanced themselves so they feel safe when a lot of em wouldn't have the balls to say it in real life. We need more positivity in the world, all this drama is just ridiculous. Like the sound of where your channel is heading. And when you get new items, maybe do a haul video if you can be bothered/have the time. 😊 Maybe some look books as I seriously need inspiration 😂😂 if not, no worries. I just started my RUclips journey and it is hard at times. For cheap brushes ShopmissA has 1.00 brushes. Aaah my husband had that same bat as a child and now our children play with it. His name is Echo. I definitely have heard other people saying the world is strange right now. These last few months have been awful for me except for a few things in June that were life savers. I love chatty grwms and vlogs. I think the best is to ignore the drama. I try to stay away from my home page (and the recommended videos there) and only watch channels that I subscribe to, because I don't subscribe to drama and "Goth is this and not this" and so on. I have more than enough drama in my personal life, you know? I do enjoy your videos and look forward to the upcoming Halloween season.
P.S. I would love it if you could talk about how to add colour to your life when you only want to wear black every day and fear becoming stale. Asking for a friend of course. 🤔

Hey Sara, Missed you and Ichabod! This last year has kinda sucked for me but im trying to be cool! The whole thing with the goth drama and such is so not cool, and I feel your annoyance on it. I also am so freacking excited for Halloween too! I do dislike this time of year, but yay Halloween is around the corner. I do like the makeup stuff, and I think you should keep them up, as well as the hauls and defintly the D.I Ys and maybe you could do a live stream, or a tag or challenge video. I know this video is from 3 years ago though the negativity is still about, I hate it and I don't understand people gatekeeping and just plain being being rude all the time. Would most of them be rude irl, would they have the balls to be that rude or do they only act that way behind a keyboard and screen 🤷 just leave people be, there is no need for them to be so rude all the time. As long as someone is not directly hurting you, just let them be, just because they don't wear the makeup brand or get their clothes from killstar or listen to music that they don't consider goth enough, it's no one else's business, just let them be. I'm done with it all and just keep to myself, it's my life and I'll be what I want to be, wear what I want and listen to what I want and if the gatekeepers decide I'm not goth enough, I don't wanna hang round with them anyway, not with that attitude. So, yes I totally agree with you and the plans you have for your channel, sound great to me 😊

I hope it goes well for you. 🖤 Also I'd recommend trying the BH Cosmetics brushes - - I recently got the Rose Quartz set and I was super sceptical (and not into the look) but they have performed really well IMO!

Spend about 5 minutes in the k pop community. It get pretty vicious real fast. Image you’re taking a walk in the park on a beautiful day. Then a giant octopus with laser beams attacks you. That is how the k pop fans do. It makes it hard to enjoy k pop or anything really. So I totally get what you mean about people getting vicious and unforgiving online. I don’t have the energy for it anymore either. I believe that there are good things and good people in the world that are worth being happy about
I agree. I love K-pop too but the most active members on social media are younger gen z and they are so toxic, immature and ridiculous. They are so easily offended and have this toxic positivity mentality that literally drains the life out of us older fans that have more open views. I still listen to kpop but I don't engage in the fandom bc I have kids and a job and responsibilities so i don't have time to deal with their tantrums.
I'm going to watch your videos no matter what you're doing in them, I might not get to see you in real life very often, sadly, but there's always this and why I'll always watch your videos, no matter the subject.

I'd say you could do some coverage of positive news stories, but that's probably not a good idea.

I use almost only BH cosmetics brushes. I have a couple of Morphe brushes that I don't love, and a couple of NYX brushes that I like, but I'd still reach for BH over NYX

I've missed your videos, so much! So glad your back! I think your content plan is very solid; it's all the stuff I began following you for in the first place.
Personally, I've only ever owned two brands of brushes. One full set of Vander brushes from Amazon and various single e.l.f. brushes. Needless to say, the e.l.f. ones are my favorites. The Vander ones were kind of a waste of money. :/ But e.l.f. brushes are not too spendy, they have minimal shed, and descent density. Feeling other brands of brushes at the store, they just don't feel that much better to me, so I've never bothered to buy any others.
