In today's cosmetics world, the darkly inclined have more quality options than ever before and I find it can be difficult to choose wisely(especially since most of these options are only available for us to purchase online.) So I've put together a compendium of Black Liquid Lipsticks for all you creatures of the night in hopes of making the choosing a little easier.
I know it's quite a long video, so I've placed a shortcut list below. Also, please excuse my occasional sailor's mouth, black liquid lipsticks move me to cursing, apparently. Leave any questions you may have in the comments and I'll get back to you asap!

watching this I feel vindicated! I used olive oil and grapeseed oil for yeaaaars when I was a dancer. Soooo many Nutcrackers and my face was like plaster trying to get lashes and lipstick off. Makeup wipes were so sticky and ugh during the 80s. I'm ancient compared to my millenial counterparts, but I love a good makeup tutorial. I've been playing Cure all day, so I needed some youtube to match LOL. I would even pair up some of these with deep purple or deep burgundy in the middle to create a sunset/ombre effect. Great stuff.
I’m not from the 80’s but I use whatever oil I have to remove makeup too. I ran out of makeup wipes one day and was like why not.
Have you thought of doing an updated version of this?
Since anastasia beverly hills, colourpop, coloured raine and probably more brands have come out with one :)

I bought LA Splash Venom based on this video. If I'm eating food, I do have to fix the inner parts of my lips, but overall it stays super well and drinks don't bother it and it is definitely kiss proof, which my daughter really appreciates. It's definitely the best lipstick of any colour I've tried. I don't wear black every day, usually just prefer lip gloss, but I have "practiced" with it enough to get comfortable for any time I do decide to go for black now, thanks for the recommendation!

just gonna throw in my two cents. beside the KVD liquid lipstick, my favorite DRUGSTORE liquid lip is rimmel london's stay matte in pitch black. can be drying, but its affordable and a good quality.

I'm so happy liquid lipsticks not only exist, but are widely available! I remember back in the day when we had to use eyeliner for lipsticks. I still use eyeliner for lip liner and tiny touchups. It's so nice being able to go to CVS and being able to get funky colors instead of the same ol pinks and reds (which I'll always love). But it's nice being able to go out for drinks/dinner without worrying all night if it's all over my face and smudging everywhere. I love blueberry pie but I don't wanna look like I ravaged through one. Not cute. Lol

I searched this kind of video in youtube before but I didn't find it until buy a black liquid lipstick (searching myself the differences between all the possibilities, it was a pain in the neck xDD), anyways I just got LA Splash one before watch this video so I'm veeeery glad that I've chose the best one! this is the first video of yours I've watched. it really took me back to my Goth phase (1997-1999) when I collected black lipstick and would obsess over the teensy variations in color.
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank you so much! I ALMOST bought Lime Crime when I was in LA but thankfully the friend I was visiting strongly advised against it! And thank god she did after watching your video! :)
I go eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, eye shadow... so this really helped. A lot. Process : simplified.
I'm 26 and I was buying liquid lipsticks back in 2007 with my mom from Revlon and drugstore brands. They usually came with a gloss or topcoat on the other side of the lipstick because matte lips weren't as popular then.
Lime Crime was still starting up their brand and hocking their little loose eye dusts back then. They most certainly did not start liquid lipsticks. Maybe LC were the first of the more expensive brands selling them when they started to get popular, but they've been a drugstore thing FOR YEARS.
+zombillymays i think she more or less meant the limecrime started the huge hype. it wasn't super popular even though revlon and a few other no name brands did have the product type first.

Your makeup is incredible & your voice too
Coconut products (cream, butter, oil, milk, etc...) Take off liquid lipsticks very easily. I use a very strong liquid lipstick that as you said "bonds" to my lip and when I use coconut oil, the product comes off in one wipe

oh dear I wish I've watched this before I got my pretty zombie. Black lipsticks looks gross when it wears off and it's really one of those shades that *needs* to not budge. With that said, I'm definitely laying my hands on the lasplash one in a week's time. Thanks for the amazing guide!!

These black lipsticks would be perfect (as an added bonus) for doing the lips in a doe or deer halloween costume. I did a doe for last halloween, and the black upper lip was smudged and had moved partially to my lower lip within minutes.

I literally just stumbled onto your channel and I am so glad to have found this video! I've been transitioning from regular lipsticks to liquid lipstick but true black is one I haven't ventured into yet. I was thinking of picking up either JS Weirdo or KVD Witches but it's funny that I never even thought about LA Splash. LA splash is awesome. They're not as comfy as Jeffree's but they last a lot longer.
