I know this is an old video but can you answer a question for me please? I bought the nyx liquid suede in alien. Obviously it doesn’t dry down. If I use duraline on it will it work to proof it?
@@nikielgin3785 I’m sorry- I’ve never used duraline. If you can’t get a full dry down liquid lipstick- I would recommend trying to set it with either a lip safe black eyeshadow or a translucent face powder?
I had a goth style as a teen ('02-'05) and I remember finally finding a black bullet lipstick that was perfect besides the odd smell. I'm suddenly interested in finding another, and assumed they must have much better products available these days. 😅
This video was very informational for me. Especially because I want to try makeup again after 13 years. A lot has changed since then in the realm of makeup, like half of this stuff I didn't even know existed. Honestly my all time favorites for liquid lipsticks are the KVD, Black Moon Cosmetics, and Pretty Zombie Cosmetics. For bullet lipsticks, my favs are the Colourpop in Aeronaut and the Sephora LipStories!
@@MonicaAdrianna Sabrina Rudnik is awesome. It is actually a 1€ Brand and I got it on eBay (somethimes theire sell it on Halloween in the stores ). The packaging is awefull, but the lipstick it self is really not that bad. It does not smell strange, the color is opaque , not oily and it stays on you lips. Ofcourse it will stain on you're bottles, ect and is not kiss proof, but it does not get patchy, just by rubbing youre lips and loocking at some bottles, ect. After a while it get more matte. But I would recomend a lip brush, or a dark Lipliner. essence actually had a nice bulled lipstick in black, but it is gone now😣

I was looking for a decent bullet lippie as I prefer them but since I already have 2 decent black liquid lippies by Maybelline and Milani, I'll skip the black bullet search and will pick up a black lip liner instead. Well there have been alot of good feedback with the kvd witches liquid lipstick and the brand is pretty higher-end brands like too-faced and lime crime so I can already tell you that it's going to come out amazing.I just purchased it from ulta and I haven't tried it yet but I've seen a million reviews and not one of them were negative so I'd get the kvd instead of the fenty since the fenty one can dry out your lips and make your lips crusty but if your up for it then don't let me stop you

@@ishellcoloso2359 by the way I just tried it out today and it went on amazing and like butter and it dried acouple seconds after applying it but it doesn't have that over-drying feeling to it and I'd say it's sits quite comfortably on my lips and it's very light as well so it won't feel like anything on your lips

I have tried the Swede matte bullet lipstick (not in black but in the shade Girl, Bye (crimson shade), Spicy (red) and Soft Spoken (medium nude) and they are amazing, they smell great and look amazing with the lip liners. I think you got a bad dud. I hope one day you try the bullet lipstick again cuz this is a great line of bullet lipsticks from NYX.
I have a KVD lipstick and I love it but I have miss placed it so I went to get a new one Ulta was out of the black so I instead got the MAC Caviar retro liquid lipstick because Ulta employees recommended it and I really wanted to wear some black lipstick. I definitely don’t like it as much as the KVD one.

My first black lipstick was Lime Crime black velvet. I don’t support that brand anymore but it was beautiful. I now have the MAC black liquid lipstick, and I really like it too. Not as watery as the lime crime ones.
I know next October is a while away, but I’m curious to see how the black shade in the milani bold color statement matte lipstick line would hold up against others as a drugstore option :)

Sadly I didn't like that one, it didn't try matte and it was sticky on my lips throughout the whole day. So disappointing because I have the same Founder and I love that so much! Beautiful color and lasts so long throughout the day and comfortable

Hi, I happen to have the original version of the kvd liquid lipsticks. The ones that actually have her name on it. I wasn’t a huge fan as they feel they never truly dry down but can be worked with. I was curious if you know if the kvd formula has changed since or it is exactly the same?

Is the kvd vegan doing good vegan beauty lipstick transfer proof? Now that they are also sold on ulta, I really wanna try them and be able to wear them under my mask. I just feel so incomplete sometimes when I got my eyes done up and bare lips lol
They are transfer proof but quite drying, just a heads up. Also check and see if they color you're looking for can be bought in a mini size rather than the full size version so you can test the formula first and pay half the price, I went to Ulta not too long ago wanting the Bow n Arrow liquid lipstick and found that they had it in a mini size for half the price!

I've found that if I moisturize my lips really well before I start my makeup (i.e. like 30 to 40 minutes before I apply lipstick) then the KVD doesn't feel as drying all day! I really like it personally and really want to try other shades xo

Ooo- I would say the Black Moon cosmetics one, that one is slightly more affordable and I think is perfect for a newbie to black lipsticks! Otherwise to get used to wearing the black color, I would recommend bullet lipsticks from the Sephora collection and from Colourpop!
is nyx liquid suede in alien really black to you? it looks dark gray to me, it seems to have bluish tone. it's not as black as my other lipsticks but it's my favorite formula :/

Honestly I love doing a light/bright look with black lipstick- some of my favorite shadow colors to use and match with black lipstick are bright peaches and bright greens!

Gucci’s Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick: Color: 700 Crystal Black - black satin I dunno if those are in your price range, but I would totally love to see those on you! All of Maybelline lipsticks smell the same, that weirdly bad plasticky smell. Like its supposed to be a "sweet" smell, but thats like normal for the brand lol. Basically, the lipstick isint expired or gone bad lol. (I dont buy them for the smell too. And most of them look very opaque. Their nude ones are okish tho, my mom likes it)

is nyx liquid suede in alien really black to you? it looks dark gray to me, it seems to have bluish tone. it's not as black as my other lipsticks but it's my favorite formula :/

Honestly I love doing a light/bright look with black lipstick- some of my favorite shadow colors to use and match with black lipstick are bright peaches and bright greens!

Coven by Killstar has an amazing matte black lipgloss - Void - it’s $14.99 - I have it - it’s amazing when it sets! It needs to be reapplied though.
Two I’m going to splurge on:
1.) Dior’s Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick: Color: 111 Ultra Night - Pure Black
2.) Gucci’s Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick:
Color: 700 Crystal Black - black satin

All of Maybelline lipsticks smell the same, that weirdly bad plasticky smell. Like its supposed to be a "sweet" smell, but thats like normal for the brand lol. Basically, the lipstick isint expired or gone bad lol. (I dont buy them for the smell too. And most of them look very opaque. Their nude ones are okish tho, my mom likes it)

Also stay FAR away from makeup stores black lipstick. It smells horrible, it's patchy and oilyaf.
