the fishing line works better if you use a heat gun to get the adhesive hot
Yeah I should have pulled out the gun. It came off fairly easy though. Just that damn adhesive in the end. I tried heat gun, clay bar, and general cleaner. 3madhesive remover was all I found that worked.

@@OnlinecarshowNet1 the big pink erasers take care of the little adhesive really well and then i use plastic razor blades to get the bulky stuff off.
The factory decals are very easily melted with a heat gun; I know this from experience..

Very nice James. Congrats on the 3k!!! I do know that they stuff like the bowties you put on look a lot better than the painted ones. It is so easy to tell the difference even at a distance for some reason

Great video I did the front bow tie on the 2011 ss and just use gloss black vinyl for the back lol
P Nelly 42 I recommend that spray vinyl coating I used. Just tape off good and plastic cover everything. I had vinyl wrap before the spray and it kept coming off.

Bowties look awesome. If you ever want some custom ones hit up river city creations in San Antonio. They are expensive but they do awesome work and stand behind their work
Using a heat gun on the bowtie will help you soften the adhesive, so you can remove it afterwards, without much force.
My 2018 Camaro SS Redline came with the black bow ties. I love how they look on the car since it’s an all black car with red accents. I am in the process of upgrading my brakes to the 1LE set up. Think it would match the red accents in the car and improve my braking! Love the videos!
Hell yeah. I love the brembos. When you change use motul 660 rbf. It’s awesome brake fluid.
I almost bought a 2018 black redline auto 2ss. Was hard decision between the two cars.
OnlineCarShow I just have to order the rotors and I’m ready to install. I will have to track down the brake fluid you mentioned. My SS Redline is a 2SS. Mine has the smoked out brake lights but I will never understand why they left the red third brake light. I also added the OEM ground effects for esthetic reasons since they do nothing for the car. I want to get some 1LE wheels and tires for it but they are spendy!
cw2lido I bought a 2018 redline 2ss and it came with ground effects package. a different wing, and red interior, and 1le recaro seats. and also with red brembos in front and back. super clean...
oh and it's black btw... i wanna remove the back emblem but idk if it'll leave holes or something
Completely removed the rear bow tie and wow so much better
Yeah I thought about doing the camaro letters instead.
4:30 in order to remove that glue tape, use heat gun, warm it up and roll it, comes off faster and doesnt leave scratches
So you just warm it up and pull it off or should I use floss or fishing line after I heat it?

Looks good man. After I failled at removing the dealer sticker on the back I did not even try to remove the emblems. You have some serious patience.
Just had my rear black bowtie and ss removed from my car while it was being ceramic coated. Waiting on my three piece 1LE emblem to come in from emblempros and am going to put it where the bowtie was unless it looks better elsewhere. Not sure what I am going to do with the emblems I removed, any suggestions?
It wasn’t fun getting the sticker off but the 3m adhesive remover is a must if you try. Just clean well afterwards or it will eat paint.

I use now a temporary ceramic and wax over top. Couple times a year. All adams polishes.

Yes you are. They are all stuck on same way by GM. The bow tie in front could differ depending on grill I guess but rear should be same

Zl1addons. It’s the Featherlite model.
Why not just tape off and spay paint the center with a good gloss black paint ? seems it would give same result if you taped very carefully.
Vinyl wrap it or spray paint it, the way you want it to look is all up to you.

Also 3m adhesive remover is 👌👌👌. Just make sure to clean off area sprayed in immediately afterwards
So all you have to do for the front is take off or loosen the bolts and pop it off
Yeah. It’s kind of hard to explain but loosening those bolts you can pivot the radiator cover plate down. Allowing you to access the clips

Jim Bob you serious don’t have to use any tools to take the front emblem off. You can take it off by putting your fingers through the grille. I’ve done it a couple times
@@Spoder_Man for real? He said there’s 4 clips I see 2 in middle but 2 big ones in outside. You think I can get enough pressure and fingers in them clips or should I use a screwdriver if I go through the grill? I have a 2021 as well LT
How long should you wait to drive after putting it on
If no rain I'd say pretty quick. Especially if you hit the adhesive with a heat gun when applying. I'd leave it out in sun as much as possible that first 24 hours too

This did not work on mine at all for the front boetie I also have fat hands but as much as I tried I couldn’t reach the clips in the back
Yes it’s very difficult my hands had marks on them afterwards for a while. You might try a screwdriver or something and try to feel your way. Sorry man.... 🙏🙏🙏
