Hey! The website shows that the EMPIRE SMOOTHIE BOWTIE EMBLEMS are compatible with my ss after entering my make and model info, but the product says zl1. Are they still compatible with the ss?
Sorry for the confusion, I am not sure which product link you are looking at. I know there are a few different options with those products that could still be available.
Reach out to our sales team with the link to the product you are looking at and they can find out exactly what might be going on.
Hey great video, a lot better then unscrewing stuff. I just bought Smoothie Bowtie Emblems (Black) 2PC :: 2014-2015 Camaro Non-ZL1 from your website - i have 2018 camaro SS- its 6th generation so im assuming it is the right part. Anyway my question is how long should i heatgun the logo. You sped up the video. Was it like 1 or 5 minutes? Thanks
Can this be installed without using a heat gun initially?
u will slip and scratch the f out of your car. dont try this
If you not steady
@@DARKTIGGERinc dude shut up, this is a stupid idea
@@gherasimtibi you sound stupid tbh
Does this method and these inserts work with the 2016 glowtie?
all that jiggling the emblem is doing now,why didnt u just take off grill first before removing gold now its all lose and jiggling
This bowtie we have had off before and when we reinstalled it to the grill it did not sit firm like it was before we removed it. We have taken it off to test other products so the clips might have worked their way loose a bit.
Jason Airborne ......ain't nothing wrong with a little jiggling ;)
Airborne Garage mine jiggles anyway as well
The black bowtie replacement is currently out of stock. When will more be available?
They should be back in-stock next week.
Seems like plasti dip would be easier and cheaper.
Where can I buy these
Same process for the 2015 ss correct?
Yes, same process for the 5th Gen Camaro's.
Great video. Will these fit a 2015 chevy ss
Have you tested if the illuminated bowtie has an insert that removes the same way?
We have not been able to test the 6th Gen illuminated bowtie at this time.
+Phastek Performance My tech at Chevy says its one piece. Not like the rear.
Any possibility of doing the 2016 illuminated bow tie install?
+Rflores486 Once we get an opportunity we should be able to get a video done.
+Phastek Performance What about putting the 2016 glow tie on a 2013 Camaro?
Ryan Israel
Not sure it that is possible. The 2013 bowtie is larger then the 2016, and the mounting is different between those years.
This will work for 2.0 2016 Camaro? I was looking online and wanted to get the no zl1 black bow ties but wasn't sure if they would jiggle.
Yes, this will work on the 2.0 Camaro as well.
About how deep would you say the holes were you drilled?
The hole is about 1/16" to 1/8" deep. The Gold portion is not very thick at all.
Appreciate it. I may pick some of these up here soon.
Any one know where I can actually buy the whole bowtie in black with the chrome outline for a 2015 camaro
Eric De Loera ebay. Cheaper than these inserts they sell.
4:36 and that's how you get a flowtie
The rear 2014-2016 oracle glow tie is a guarantee fit to the 2016?
+Chriz Falco We have not put one of the Oracle bowties on a 2016 yet. The part numbers from GM are the same for the 2014-2015 to the 2016 Rear bowtie. We have heard of a bowtie being installed but we have not seen it yet.
good job
I put a poster in black on the golden logo and shortened the effort and time and money ..
+aziz pwr This kit is made out of aluminum. Although the vinyl will save some money it will wear out over time causing it to be replaced again a few years down the road. This kit will not need to be replaced since it is powder coated to last the lifetime of the car.
Phastek Performance but vinyl will cost like 5$ so you can do love 30 times for the price of one of your kit! Actual black bow tie from eBay are cheaper.
So will these inserts work for illuminated bow tie?
+Chano Pauda We have not tested the illuminated bowtie yet. We do plan on checking the fitment but right now we can not confirm.
+Phastek Performance ok thanks well hope to hear they do fit cause then I'll for sure be placing an order
Can you do this without drilling
No, doing this with-out drilling could cause some damage to the Chrome portion of the bowtie.
@@PhastekPerformance do you sell a black bowtie set with the chrome trim for a 2014 camaro?
Unfortunately we do not have something like that available.
Could you do one for the 2016 Camaro SS?
This video was done with a 6th Gen Camaro. The bowties are the same between V6 and V8.
Ohh awesome. Thank you very much!
I can’t believe you guys are charging $200 for a fucking gloss black plastic badge. Ridiculous. I thought that buying an American car would mean spending LESS money on parts due to them being domestic. Buying parts for my audi+shipping and import is cheaper than this.
These badges are actually CNC machined out of aluminum then powder coated Gloss Black or there are the Polished versions. They are not plastic.
So with the machining needed to have these manufactured there is a bit of an expense with material and labor. The manufacturer sets the price point for their product with all things considered.
do you have to drill holes? i cant do it without it?
Drilling the holes makes it easier to remove the Gold portion. If the holes are not drilled there is no way to remove the Gold portion.
Phastek Performance not true. U can use a heat gun and credit card
Why wouldn’t you try heating it up and sliding some fishing line behind the emblem to slice through the double stick tape?
