Wanted to thank this youtuber for discovering the reversed polarity, I probably would have returned the item as faulty without that info. Definitely have to reverse the two wires on the bowtie side. Other than that, wiring to the side marker means the bowtie doesn't glow unless the headlights are on. Not a huge deal, but I may try to wire this to something like the led's on the headlight in the future. Additionally, watching some other videos on the matter, I chose to try to do the project without removing the front plate in the engine bay. It was a little slow to use a wire hanger and string to pull the harness though, but beats scratching the front of the car fighting the plate. This video doesn't really show that activity very well but others it looked like a total pain. Also, I left the tire on and only took 4 screws out to peel back a small portion of the fender well liner...wasn't hard at all! Generally speaking a big add to the car, looks amazing in the dark. Oh yeah, also I just broke the tabs on the original bowtie like another video suggested. Didn't compromise the mounting plate behind it.

Hi quick question my dad has a 2017 Malibu and we were thinking of installing one of these. Do you happen to know if the camero and Malibu share the same size emblem? Or is one made larger then the other
So this just taps into the side markers for power? I’ve been debating on buying one I found online but no wiring harness so I would have to make one. Plus now clip for the bow tie so I gotta figure that out or try to find the a clip that fits.

My 2017 SS came with a glowtie. I haven't seen many others on the road.

Yup, side marker. If it's a really good deal, it may be worth it I suppose, otherwise I would just put the money out and buy the full thing.

Why were the wires wired wrong from the factory. I would send it back for a new one that was correct.

That sound is the from the Camaro, not the glowtie. That's the normal sound.
I think that’s the fuel pump. My car makes the same noise.
