I’d like to put one in my 2018 Chevy Cruz But is none available for my Cruz only for the 2019, do you now if that one will feed on the 2018 Cruze? Thank you!

I had to press up a black piece under the red tab to get it to finally release. Don't know if you had to do the same (wasn't stated in video). By far between that mishap and the metal plate it took me 2 hours and 13 minutes. Which was about the same time the dealers said it'd take them, So thanks for the video.
Thanks Sicarious. It has been a couple years now. But, I am gonig to say if you had to do that, I must of had to too. Sorry I didn't mention it. Yes, all in all it is not a hard install. It is just taking a drill to your car that is a little nerve wracking.
I just came across your video after watching someone else install there lighted bow tie and they couldn't get there Bow tie to come on what they ended up doing was cutting the wires by the bow tie and reconnecting the white with the black and the black with the white and then it worked but on yours all you did was plug it in I just have wonder why he had to cross the wires and you didn't.
Save yourself a couple hours and scraped knuckles and bend the hood safety release lever to the right. The facia cover will come right off and lever bends right back into place when you're done.
Thanks for the guide. A couple of suggestions. When removing the original bow tie, there are tabs on the other side of the hook. If you bend them back a little it makes pushing the hook easier and no need to break them the way you did. Second, if you turn the wheel to the left you will not need to remove it. You will have just enough room toget to the light.
HI John, Thanks for watching and commenting. So it looks like you watched the re-edited version. There is a much longer version that was actually my very first attempt at filming a video. It recieved a lot of negative comments, mostly deserved. But, I did try to push those tabs back and while prying they broke off. And I initially didn't remove the wheeel. The lighting was terrible. I install GM accessories for a living, what I would do is hook the harness up first from inside forward lamp harness, then snake the harness through the hole you drilled with the hole saw, that way you can just hook the connector to the bowtie and just snap the bowtie In and be done.
Yes. there is a circle exactly where to put the pilot bit for the hole saw and the inner and outer tollerances for the hole saw. You can see it at 5:00in the video. If you watched the oringal very terrible video it is at 7:54. Thanks for watching and commenting
@oldskool78, Does it go back when you close the door? I am assuming you had to tie into a similar harness as the camaro. It is just a guess. You know how when you open the doors the inerior lights go on? or how now when the blinker is on the light goes out? Seems like the car is redirecting power.
I am sorry they don't. Maybe you could get a 2010 bow tie. Get some acrylic and do it yourself or find a local artist (maybe a window guy and have him trim and polish the acrylic about 3/16 of an inch bigger all the way around. Then hollow it out. Then put something like this in the hollowed out section. Just a thought. I appreciate you watching

Thanks for posting. Bought an LED bowtie a while back and the dealer wanted to charge for 4 hours' work to do that. The metal plate's still a pain, but seeing you manage to work it out helps. (Somewhere I've read where someone literally bends the metal piece back in order to lift up the plate. Not a great option.)

The wiring is different on 20-24 models. I had to splice wires and switch them on my 23 to get it to work also.

Thanks. If you can wait for warmer weather the plastic is more flexible. Use two people and tee shirts to prevent a possible scratch
I went and got it done at the dealer. I’m very happy of the results. I’m not very handy with tools.
