- A prominent doctor, his wife, two of their grandchildren and a technician working at their home were killed. Suspect Phillip Adams, formerly a defensive back in the NFL, was found dead in his home.

Let's not forget the HVAC contractors. One dead, the other in critical condition. They have families too. They were just doing their jobs, expecting to go home that evening. It's tragic all around.

The same thing happened years ago back around the mid-1980s in suburban Philadelphia , Pennsylvania in Springfield , Delaware County .
Dr. Trout who had bought me and thousands of babies into the world was shot and murdered by a crazy girl named Sylvia Seegrist ... she even shot and killed a two year old .
it happened at the Springfield Mall where she showed up dressed in Army fatigues and carrying a rifle , she injured others .

This too was my thought. How my heart is in turmoil for the doctor’s son (or daughter) and spouse who lost both parents and both children on the same day to a senseless violent display of hate, as this.
When the father said, I think “football messed him up”, I interpreted that it was the son’s morals and ethics that were messed up, and that at that moment, he wasn’t necessarily speaking about him ‘physically’, i .e. old football concussion(s) causing brain misfiring/damage messed up.
Anyone who is awake or aware of the state of our hearts can see who entertainers and (definitely NOT ALL but certainly some and a good amount) professional athletes worship. The G.O.A.T. acronym alone is very telling who people worship these days. God of all time....BEHOLD, I AM COMING QUICKLY.

I was lucky enough to have played the sport in high school and at a collegiate level and I can honestly say I've never taken a big hit but I know a handful of heavy hitters that just aren't the same today. Glory to God and condolences to all who lost someone.

My family was originally from Rock Hill and still have relatives down there, lots of good people. Huge football town. Sad.
He had CTE and that's only diagnosed at autopsy so my prayers to the both families. I can't imagine being the mother of those children dropping them off at their grandparents and now they're never going to see those kids again

It’s called MURDER, not just a crime. Stop minimizing when five people were shot to death, including two children. What a cold-blooded comment that reporter made: two parents will never kiss their children anymore, tuck them into bed, read books to them etc etc. children and grandchildren will never hug their parents again.

@@phill8522 oh yea, OF COURSE he shot himself in the head. Damn. I was looking forward to the results of that scan and watching the NFL try to sweep the results under the rug. That's unfortunate but we really don't need a scan to know anymore that NFL players are brain damaged. If they start at 10 by 30 that's 20 years of concussions. They've seen CTE in the quarterbacks. They even found CTE in a kicker! So apparently it doesn't even take a lot of hits compared to what the other players will take. Aaron Hernandez's brain was available for a CTE scan, it was undoubtedly positive. The Dr that's been doing all these tests showed a picture of his actual brain next to a normal brain. I was shocked. I didn't know you could mess up your brain that bad and still function on any level. I would think the person would need around the clock care in a hospital. Apparently, I guess he kind of did need that though considering the things he did. They just LOOK so healthy it's easy to be fooled.
Why do we make excuses to someone who may have CTE? On that note, I'm boycotting football. We must take a stance against the Demonic MENACE, gun violence! Now, before it's too late!
@@Janellabelle Andre Waters and Tyler Hilinski shot them selves in the head too, but doctors were still able to get an analysis on both of their brains to prove they had cte. I think there still a chance.

I stop playing football in high school all the headaches migraines that I had waking up Football especially on a high level can mess you up even in high school football is a very violent sport we constantly get hit in the head a lot

As an athlete, he got hurt A LOT. He probably got HOOKED ON PAIN MEDS, because of those injuries. If that was the case, this guy was a ticking time BOMB.
The Doctor might’ve refused to give him the medication, thereby setting off this mans sanity. He probably didn’t even realize exactly what he had done, until he had time to assimilate everything. The realization of what he did, might’ve been too much to bare so he ended his life.
I’ve worked with people with addiction. I know first hand how violent they can get. They go from being a big huggable teddy bear, to becoming a murderous rampaging grizzly bear.

Anyone that can kill a child is a different kind of evil.
Even tho Adam was only 32yrs old his autopsy revealed he'd suffered from an "unusually severe" case of chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Tragic for everyone involved.
