I think i have a settings issue, when I go to reframe my charater like you did around [6:23] it throw my character alignment off. Do you know how to fix this?
That is much more complex to do than Adobe Animate. You can bang transparent bg sprites into a graphics symbol and align them up within a minute or two.
when i make the things bigger it says both the resolution levels are 0 and when i try to change it it says [various] also when i go to files i dont have a lot of those options including preview settings
this is a great showcase for the 1.3 version however I'm having some issues with the 1.4 version, when using the ReFrame tool all the sprites get moved to different locations and when I put them back it doesn't carry over. Another issue I'm having is that I don't have the "Insert FX" option, I don't know if it's different for the 1.4 version and I would like to see an update if it isn't too much trouble. Great video nonetheless.

Click that and then find the sprite you downloaded, And then click --> hold and drag the png to Opentoonz, And then let go when you see a green + button near the sprite sheet your holding and clicking. Come reply to me if it helps or works. Also if you know a way to work the RBG color tool, please reply on my comment because I need help with that
im 90% sure this doesnt work with the latest version. Either that or it requires the upscaling of the sprite sheet. Ive followed this tutorial 5 times in 1.6, even looking at the smallest settings and every time the same thing happens. The anti aliasing tick doesn't work, or the sprite gets deformed, even if its in the exact same place as where it was originally. Not really sure what else to do, if this is my fault, the programs fault, or if the video is just outdated.
2:22 You cant just Copy/Paste even in 1.3 Ive downloaded like 3 differnt versions, 1.3, 1.7.1 and menerva edition and none of them let you copy paste over like that. Or not ME!!!!!!!

I have my Deco 2 with the 2020 Opentoonz setup from your later video. I'm a newbie so it was kinda hard so see the difference but I'm going to try again! Also can you help me set the scroll wheel settings in Opentoonz, it's not zooming in and out🤷🏾♂️
One last question is there anyway to make the sprite sheet transparent in opentoonz I find it hard to make the sprites line up and the RGB key doesn't get all the color Edit- when I add a transparent sheet the colors come out dull in opentoonz
Not sure if you double negated yourself on purpose but... you wrote as on-screen comment "to check no anti aliasing off" ... uhm ... but i think that you meant to check "anti aliasing" off. Like you've done in the video, or am I mistaken? Its a nice video. Just trying to get it right :D

Honestly, this tutorial is kinda missing interface explanation. If you have a video like that Id greatly appreciate it because this program is nowhere near as approachable as flash and animate are

When I try to change the level settings, both the width and height change to "Various" and I can't put in any numbers for the size. Any help?

When I use the RGB it doesn't take the background color away

Try hitting render (the eye icon) and then color picking from the rendered result. I hope this helps

some PNGs that have transparency actually don't work in OpenToonz so you need to get a sprite sheet that has a background he says this here : 0:58

too hard. there isnt any auto keyframe toggle for deleting sprites so it makes everything more difficult than adobe animate
Could just edit and save each sprite as transparent PNG before importing to Opentoonz.
What software would I use to do that?
not to be rude but that is pretty tedious: i recommend just downloading a sprite sheet png
