- Luke Donald dropped into the Mizuno Tour Studio in the UK for a first look at the Mizuno Pro 221, 223, 225 irons and new T22 wedges. The Mizuno Pro irons will be available for fittings in Europe, US and Australia from January 2022. More at mizunogolf.com

Moved from MP 69s to 221s last month. Everything I expected with a little more forgiveness. Love ‘em.
after a lot of studying etc I finally pulled the trigger and bought the 223s, they just had for me that "it" feeling, I felt more confident hitting them, mind you this was just in the simulator.....looking SUPER forward to getting them out there on the course. and how about that effortless swing by Luke Donald..... smoooooooooth.

That swing 😍... I'm not afraid to say it I'm a mizuno fan boy. When I got into golf luke was #1 and the combo of luke a mizuno is the reason i play mizuno irons and wedges and will continue to do so. Nice content and love the new equipment!

Love the Ping bag in front of the staff bags, proper elephant in the middle of the room 🤦♂️. Love Mizuno clubs, no other irons compare and Luke is still class, fingers crossed for continued return to fitness & form.
Just goes to show how hard this sport is. He is such a great ball striker.

Great to see Luke Donald and his beautiful swing, great player and hoping to see him back on the top of the world soon. Well done once again to Mizuno, clubs are looking good especially the 225 HMBs can't wait to try them as soon as they hit the South African market soon hopefully. I have been a big fan of Mizuno since my introduction with the MP18s to my recent MP20 HMBs which I had to let go of unfortunately and quite regrettably. They bettered my game considerably and finally got to experience the forgiving aspect of the clubs. Enjoyed this video and absolutely love the brand!!
I have only ever played with Mizuno Irons. I use the MP20 MMC with the KBS130, I’m 60 years old and hit these bad boys a mile 170yrds 6 iron. I was using MP59 for 7 years. Mizuno are the best Irons by far on the golf course.
Love these videos. Great to see Luke in the bay. Class act. Mizuno man through and through so will be looking at the 223/225's to compare against my 919 forged. Fitted at Bearwood so another trip from Wales will be on the cards quarter one of next year.....! Keep up the good work guys, Matt, camera likes you mate, the new social face (UK) of Mizzy. ;-).

I've been using MP37 muscle backs for over 20 years. I really wanted to switch to another brand this time but after a long series of demos, I decided nothing feels like a mizuno. I'm getting fitted for either a 223 or 225 this weekend.
First time i'm blending a set. Got 223 6-pw and 4-5 in 225. Waiting for them to come in. Playing 919 forged atm. Modus 3 120 stiff shafts, i feel those are just a tick softer feeling than my current kbs tours. I'm sure the 225's will blend well with my flihi 3 iron as well

You see a Tiger,Rory and other big hitters you're like I want to be just like them .... yet Luke's swing is one like Tom Watson's it's so simple and easy on the body you will be golfing into your 70's with np ~
One would think you would show a close up of the product that you're trying to sell yes we know Luke Donald can swing well and plays a great product but when a new product comes out you'd like to see what he's swinging to understand the upgrade & appearance to create the hype. 221 223 225 what's the appearance difference between each model side by side for us consumers to see ? They look great they look great you guys keep saying yet Your the only 2 that see's them up close. Muzuno always has one of the best looking products. SHOW THEM along with Luke testing them for a winning combination video.

Played with mizuno mp60s since 2007. Love them today as much as I ever have. Just went to get lies and lofts adjusted. Saying that I have never tried distance irons. Luke picked up immediately ‘a stronger set’. Former world n.1 of course sees through any gimmicks of loft changes to make people think they’re hitting it further.
There's a little more to it than just delofting. Eg - a delofted 221 wouldn't behave the same way as the 223 or the 225. Our aim is to make sure that every 7 iron flies as a 7 iron should. Check our test video with Fredrik Lindblom.
I'd love a set of new mizuno irons to replace my MP30s. I'd probably go 3-6 in 223 + 7-GW in 225. Maybe 221

Let's say I have a friend...and his wife agrees to change his TM P790's to Mizuno irons...what set would you recommend....for my friend.🤣🤣
"My friend" was fitted for Taylormade PM7MC irons only last year so "my friend" can't indulge himself in a new blended set of these beauties.
"My friend" has got stinging urine too ..... 😂😂

I'm coming from Titleist and looking to get fitted into Mizuno , just to have an idea would where does the 223 stands ? Is it like a little more forgiving than the t100s ? Is it more like the t200 ?
How do the new 221s compare Mp20 mb’s?
Was going to buy the mb’s but now I’m not sure whether to wait until February and pick up a nice new set of the 221’s.

Wonderful, another Mizuno naming convention to confuse everything. I really never understood the differences between the JPX and MP range, they are just so subtle. JPX Forged was always a little too long from heel to toe for me, but the MMC irons really suit my eye. Are the latest irons a replacement for the MP20 range?
Yes. Mizuno Pro is the original version of MP. 221 / 223 / 225 a simpler naming convention - year and the size / forgiveness ranking.
Still gaming MP60s from new - love them but will look at the 223s as soon as they are out - wondering what differences i should expect to see

I’m currently playing with a set of JPX919 Forged, which of these would be the most similar in terms of feel and forgiveness?
None of these - 921 Forged is the direct replacement. The 223 is essentially a smaller version of the 919 Forged. The 225 would be closer in stability and ease of use.
I'm currently playing the Srixon ZX7 and considering a switch... Maybe a combo set of 223-225 ?
Zx7s are Boss! Why would you change already?? I play mizuno and torn between new 223 from my 900 tour or srixon 785 ....

I live in Japan and went to try out the 221 and 223 a couple weeks ago (released in September here). 221 was lovely as you’d expect. 223 was disappointing. I play the MP20 MMC (Mizuno Pro 520 over here) and far prefer it over the new 223. The 223 lacks both the profile/looks and feel I’d expect from a player’s CB, especially from an MP. Top line thickness, depth, etc. of the 223 basically has the same form as the JPX921 Forged as far as I could see. The MP 20 MMC was a much nicer looking slimmer profile and could very nicely be blended with the muscle back whereas the 223 doesn’t look at all the same as the 221 and feel is disappointing. I unfortunately seem to not really enjoy the Chromalloy feel.
The 223 is actually smaller and thinner than the MMC.
@@mizunogolf1906 interesting - I held them up side-by-side and there’s no way the 223 is slimmer than the MMC. I took pictures- I can DM to you or upload somewhere for sharing. Is it possible the JP 223 is different than what you have there?
