I think it may have been the fact that people were used to the "old" Stones. "Steel Wheels," to me, is generally a more "polished" album than the ones that came before it.
I saw this concert live! Wow, before this I had seen the Stones once when I was a teen, I guess I was in my in 30 when I saw them again! They sounded better and had more energy than they did back when I was a teen! If you have never been to a Stones concert, you should have! Man, what a wonderful band they are and were! Long live the Stones! Rest In peace, Ronnie!

Before they Make Run & Happy being hard to ignore for the Rocker 😄 I think Ronnie encouraged him to play 'Connection' instead for a while. -And as you no doubt know, usually 'You Got the Silver' or the superb 'Slipping Away' for the slower one . I've always wanted him to do 'How Can I Stop' , a true overlooked Stones masterpiece!!

It upsets me when ignorant people say Keef isn't a good guitar player..that's total BS...no he's not Mick Taylor or Jimi Hendrix..but there's nothing wrong with his guitar..I really prefer 70s Stones over all..but I'm growing to really dig this song also
