I just love the ballroom scene with all the "clucking hens" meeting Ellen. Oh, I can just see them in my imagination and I love them! I don't think I could withstand their scrutiny, but in this story, they are the unsung heroes we need!
Mrs. Bilson, last evening, I found you on RUclips showing how you never write books, and I was so fascinated. At that time I didn’t realize you are also the author of the books. Thank you so much. This one and the others I’ve listened to have been just grand. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into these productions!
I love your books. Thank you for uploading them for us to listen for free. I listened to the 2nd one before this one. I think ill go back and listen to the 2nd one again before I listen to the 3rd. I've enjoyed these so much.
1:06:24 2:20:21 (in case I lose my place while I'm having a battle of stubbornness with an 800lb, angry heifer, who's wanting to birth her calf out in the back forty, in the pouring rain, by herself, where's there's a pack (or six) of coyote, instead of her brand new, safe and dry shed, with hay and Mozart and a birthing stall, and absolutely no coyotes. Cattle can be completely unreasonable at the very worst times.)
@@cathbilson Why thank you! All's well, I have a new, seventy lb calf to oooh and awww over (for the next two weeks, until I halter break her which is a whole nother rodeo in itself) Hubby just called to tell me that he is in the process of rescuing and entire litter of kittens (oh boy) and I got to sleep in past daylight! THANK YOU for such a lovely book! Because I'm on the farm, I don't have time to sit and read like I would like to. These audiobooks give me the freedom to do the work I need to do, which is basically mindless and, actually get to listen to a novel at the same time! The story was particularly interesting as well! I always wondered what would happen if an American got tossed into the Tonne!
It was decades before I learned to use witch hazel to prevent bruising. Yet it works best when undiluted, at least what is commercially available in this era. Thanks for a wonderfully entertaining story with excellent narration. ☮️💞🙏
Really enjoyed this! The unexpected twist in between made it much more than the usual pleasant but predictable victorian romance. Thanks so much for sharing. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
Thank you! A Marquis For Marianne will be available next week, but unfortunately I haven't had the time to record A Duke For Diana in audio yet - and I'm still writing A Captain For Clarissa I'm afraid!
LOL maybe you have a career writing Regency horror suspense thrillers! Personally, I think I'd have put my money on Louisa... she'd have decided to bump Creighton off the first time he raised his hand to her.
Nice story and lovely narration. There were few, if any, clues to the dramatic escalation in one of the character's behavior, though. A few hints might have been included. Did I miss any?
A lovely story and wonderful narration without offensive language/explicit sex. Thank you!

Haha oh my goodness - hope mom and calf are both okay and you're dry and not eaten by the coyotes!

Thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for sharing.
Aunt Clarice isnt wrong about society and Ellen's role in it. Thomas has put Ellen in a situation that she was not prepared for.
Ellen's Role not roll

Beautiful historical romance
Can you imagine lady Louisa being married to lord creighton. Who would have been killed first.☠️
LOL maybe you have a career writing Regency horror suspense thrillers! Personally, I think I'd have put my money on Louisa... she'd have decided to bump Creighton off the first time he raised his hand to her.
😂spin off, poor Creighton's happy widow 😊
@@cynthiarowley719 ... if you didn't listen to it yet, book 2 is literally Creighton's widow's happy ending in A Marquis For Marianne!
I am already hooked ❤️
I knew it would be great!
Glad you enjoyed it! Tune in next week for Marianne's story :D

I did not do a lot of foreshadowing... I wanted the escalation to come as a big shock to the readers as well as the characters!
When she was doing her needle point and it was terribly gruesome, and she kept adding blood. I got the feeling she wasn't alright.
The way the character reacted to news of a change was a clue
Oh my Louisa 😶
