about the trial of the grasses thing, one could argue that the reason it's so different in the future is because the way they did it here is super unstable and ends horribly, while the future version is refined and produces a stable witcher.

They did everything to minimize the Witcher and try to make it their own thing featuring The Witch, maybe. This was before The Witcher was even established as a TV character. Talk about burning money.

I will say, If you're a bard who plays at seedy taverns, learning some back-alley brawler tactics is a useful skill. Especially as a woman in this setting (as shown by the two women assaulted without anyone else batting an eye).

A show that witcher fans never wanted..
Ok look there are alot of things to criticize about this shitshow but monarch or political leader making public appearances to show the public they are not afraid of assassination attempts is very much a real thing. A britiah monarch had 8 attempts on her life and still went to show bravado criticize real world leaders doing it not the show imitating it. The rest of show is garbage tho so still plenty to make fun of
