- 7 cheap eats in Stretford, the suburb once known as the Garden of Lancashire because of the large amount of fruit and veg it once produced back in the day. We find Indian tapas inspired from the streets of Tamil Nadu above a launderette and a Caribbean cafe nestled amongst some terraced houses in Gorse Hill.

Was thinking the same thing.. initially.. but when you look at the quality.. and in todays world.. prices climbing! I paid £8.50 today for a mediocre halloumi wrap and chips in Glasgow's 'poor end'...

How can a chippy in Manchester be able to charge £4.25 for full size fish and chips whereas in the North East it's at least double the price, smaller size and probably not of the same quality 😮😮😮

near me in Blackpool i can get a burger for £1 a hot dog for £1 and a takeaway near St Chads road does a 9" pizza with a choice of 3 toppings ,chips an a drink for £4 !!!
