Yes, braille was my gateway to nine club. Even as a a 28 yr old learning. Skating can feel very exclusive and braille helps break down those barriers. Love how friendly Andy is with every pocket of the skate industry. Even “cringy” RUclipsrs.

I originally started skating in 2001 and everything was exclusive, hesh, punk, I couldn't even get help from homies at school, so when I injured myself I didn't feel welcome to come back once healed. Fast forward to 2020 when I started skating again and braille has been there for entertainment and education for many things I've needed help with. I got ollies and shuvs on concrete with no wheels in the crack, just yesterday. All thanks to tips from braille. Now to start trying them rolling. Thanks for everything braille!

That Andy let me tell ya he's got me re- analyzing how I push. How I pivot. All of the basic things I take for granted suddenly have all these new variables and my own ideas are naturally forming every session like one footed grinds n shit I never even thought of. This kid really gets the creative juices flowing. Haven't felt such inspiration since my first time watching Mike v. Watching those two shred together would be so sick!!!!!

I believe more and more skaters are going to grow up with the mentality of protecting there head and brains, skaters of this generation are already much more health conscious then skaters of the past era's and of course with the olympics now in the picture skaters have finally transitioned to being elite world class athletes... and with certain gatekeepers gone that insisted on skateboarding having to be extremely gnar, the shift of skaters starting to wear helmets must be on the horizon. I think were in the beginning phase of a helmet revolution in skateboarding just as has happened in so many other sports... there was a time that NHL players didnt wear any helmets or face protection either and there was a stigma around those that did choose to start wearing them but eventually everyone caught on to the understanding that you cant be the best in the world if you lose an eye or go brain dead or worse... skateboarders arent super human; at the end of the day if you want to have a long successful career as a top level elite skater, you might want to consider helmeting up. otherwise if it doesnt evolve naturally for the above type of reasons the industry will continue to ignore helmets until one of the greats or an upcoming great has a regrettable accident and career altering head injury well skateboarding, which is what it took for most other sports to wise up.

Physio ain't nothing new or revolutionary for skateboarders, physio for skateboarders is. The injuries and the strain you but your body under skateboarding is so different compared to other activities that there really hasn't been until recently any useful professional aid available.

Skaters are the best people in the world. I'm 37 and Andy has me wanting to get a new board. After 15 years and a broken ankle, I thought I was done, but he is insane, on flat. I want an Andy board, but probably the smaller one. 8" boards were BIG when I was skating.

Old skater here, I skated Chris Baucom Walker and Scmitt Stix and am getting back into it now that I am back to the mentality of not giving a F - my 43 year old body may give a few but we'll see. Covid has opened up spots to skate like mad, no people, abandoned structure and buildings, no one to see me eat it. Big fan of Andy, his attitude and maturity is so refreshing.
AA is such a great person it’s so cool to listen to his take on things. Most times when you have younger guests on the interview can be a bit lacking imho, not to discount some of the younger skaters but they just don’t have the life experiences to keep it interesting. This dude is wise beyond his years and a straight up ripper

I can tell you with 100% guarantee that almost if not all, the kids i grew up with skateboarding, we all took notes from Aaron Kryo and the whole Braille team. Those guys made skateboarding so fresh and inviting.

@8:30 - like red and black airwalks I had - which were kinda like 87 air jordans with a flap - they were pretty good shoes for the time - not overly expensive and could order them from the small shoe store in my town.. long before skateshops were in malls.

Braille gave me the love back for skating , and got me back into it 100%! Braille in a way pointed me in the direction of the nine club - which in turn allowed me to realize to understand the importance of knowing skate history, respecting who has been before etc
Skateboarding would not be as big right now if it was for Braille , this should be celebrated

@8:30 - like red and black airwalks I had - which were kinda like 87 air jordans with a flap - they were pretty good shoes for the time - not overly expensive and could order them from the small shoe store in my town.. long before skateshops were in malls.
