  • Since starting to live stream and creating video content i have tried many different lights from soft boxes ring lights and even the elgato keylight...
    some i liked more than others and some just didn't fit the situation correctly...
    In this video i'll be talking about the Godox SL60w light and Octobox i'll be comparing it to my other lights and talking about the pros and cons of having a light like the Godox sl60w

    do you like how the new light looks??
    would you consider something like this or is it a bit much for your needs?

    Great video mate. Side note, if I can give some feedback: the audio sounds good, but it's a bit too deep at the low end. Lends to some ear fatigue after a while. I'd recommend 'brightening' your sounds at certain frequencies...just my 2 cents mate. :) But overall, good stuff!

      I had a lot of issues with my audio originally in this room..
      Poor Eq
      terrible untreated space, had reverb issues tried to remove in post didn't work..
      I've hopefully fixed a lot of it these days with panels practise and a new audio interface haha
      Thanks for the feedback though!

    The video was awesome! your pv is insane! inspiring AF!! - I'm looking at upgrading my light, Was interested in this video but I don't have a lot of room so might have to just get a keylight!

      if you can afford one keylights are great! i've enjoyed mine for a while.. but as i said in this for me they're kinda limiting.... But for most people they're perfect for what they need them for

    00:51 did you change mics after the intro reel? the first portion of the audio was solid and clear. the remainder had too much bass on the settings - something that could be easily fixed.

      I have actually!
      but its over double the price of this current setup!
      Not to mention that its very similar in size n quality to the keylight..
      id rather have the larger softbox personally just because the light IMO is softer and more flattering on most faces...

    However! I just decided to use a desk lamp instead! Lol

      @AJSarsfieldFilm  4 года назад +2

      desk lamps can look great too! i used one in my "lighting" video and i was so happy with how that turned out... you don't need "expensive fancy" equipment to make your content look good
      it can help make it easier though

      @Binomialgorgon0 4 года назад +2

      Hahah I was just putting a play to your lines at the beginning of the video. *Buys expensive studio quality light* *decides to go with desk lamp basically starting over*
