Loved the renovation! A tip about the dew collectors: you can size them down, they still work fine and it's easier for your Sims to move around them and do the maintenance interactions.
The house has been renovated for approximately 4,5 minutes and a chicken is already on the loose, the Roomba is living it's best life out on the grass and dust is collecting as we speak. Well. Welcome back!
Chaz, who grew up in a vampire's closet and left that for life in an alley, has truly earned the Bigwallet name, and has begun his life as a gentleman farmer.
I agree about moving the greenhouse back. I almost feel like it belongs on the back, the crops in the middle and some sort of lovely little garden in the front that could almost double as an outdoor play area for the kids. But I really, really love this house. Could you make a sort of "observatory" off the back there and put the telescope in there so it looks like it matches the aesthetic of the house? Not sure about spacing in the back, but I almost feel like it needs to be inside a space that allows it to match the rest of the lot.
@@BengtBagels That's what I was thinking. Like Hazel and Trenton would be big fans of having their kids play outside as part of a well-rounded childhood.

Oh wow ! So that's what I've been doing wrong 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I couldn't understand why my fully upgraded fireplaces always caught on fire, even when rugs and onjects where mile away !!! Thanks 😁
A lot of the times in chateaus or large houses, they would have more than one staircase because there would be one for the 'servants' and another for the residents of the house and the one for the 'servants' were notoriously badly constructed and really steep, thus really dangerous. The staircase for the residents would typically also be a lot of extravagant with more expensive materials
I kept thinking he would do a basement as a servants kitchen kinda thing with stairs outside i see those all the time in those type of buildings and the last floor has a bunch of tiny rooms that used to be occupied by like three people. Kinda like the rooms he did up there with the ladders
Someone needs to make this man a roomba-centric cc pack! Also, I've just realized I recognize your username... but from where? Drawfee? CMK? Alas, my memory is useless.
I love it I’m so glad all the family can live together in one house it’ll be so much easier everyone can help with the kids. And the Sims won’t be confused on where they need to go to cook and do things. Also welcome back
JAMES!!!! You're back! This is the video I've been waiting for! I hope you are feeling much better you have been greatly missed. My day just got instantly better thank you!
JAMES IS BACK!!!! It is so good to have you back, I missed you so much! I hope that you’re feeling better now. So much love for you! ❤️ Also, the build looks so BEAUTIFUL!
I loved the build!!! A little idea for when you continue the lets play is to add swings or some outdoor activities for the kids to play 🥰 great work james
Welcome back James! I can’t believe your dedication on the reno for the build! Congrats on a job very well done, it’s perfect. Please do turn off the dust if it bugs you. Maybe you could add laundry and turn off dust for a while to try something different?
Love the renovation!! The stately home vibes are perfect 😊 small note on UK homes though, its bloody cold here! I think adding rugs around (especially on all the tile downstairs!) will make things look a lot cosier
Very very nice! I love the sunrays in the dining room, this lighting feels very cozy! You could put the weather machine in the uppermost "tower", above Hazel's craft room. You could enclose it with walls but remove the ceiling, so the beam would reach the sky. Feels more fitting than randomly on the ground somewhere. Also this kind of powerful device should be hidden like a secret!
Speaking of "sizing down", James, do you also know you can size down the ridiculous dog beds and dollhouses? With the dog beds, the dog ends up kinda half in and half out, but they do work and the dollhouses work just fine. Also, welcome back ... we've missed you!!
It's so hecking cool! I love the whole house, I think it makes sense that it's this big and kinda aged. Also I think that the creative space for Hazel should be in the room with windows cuz natural light. I also love the water tower, I think it's neat. And the spare bedroom may be used for Chaze's friend? Forgot her name, but she was meant to move in with us and live as a help in this manor, so I think that'll be a perfect space for her.
Got weirdly emotional seeing this video haha, because just earlier today I was thinking about the LP and how much I missed it and now it's back! But please don't apologise for not uploading as much James, absolutely understandable the move takes up your time x
JAMES! welcome back! Dude I adore this.... it all looks so awesome and has so many great ideas! A few thoughts I had while watching: Hazel should probably have an office space too since she does her home decorator stuff online. Not sure if maybe the 1st level of the empty castle space would work for that work for that or the level above? Initially I was going to suggest you put the telescope in the top castle level with the windows but then she would have a creativity or office space with no windows which would suck. You could of course use the empty room on Chaz's aside as her office because I'm sure he's nice enough to lend it to her but then he doesn't get the whole half of the house. Not sure if that's important. Maybe that extra Chaz space could hold his awards or the really cool big produce that's been changed into decoration? Or maybe it could just be his general hobby space. I think you should probably turn the dust system off because when you were up in the water tower which by the way is freaking awesome it was suggesting that Angus check the dust level. Which I assume means that can also collect dust up there and you'd need a roomba? Unless that level would be controlled by the level in the house. But it just seems like an unnecessary difficulty. You could still leave the roombas in if you wanted but maybe just don't have the dust level activated? Whatever you end up deciding to do make sense. Also whether it's the empty room on Chaz's side or one of the 2 castle levels, if Hazel gets a creativity room and/or office space I think it would be really cool if there was a way to set it up to look like she has samples of different tiles or wallpaper or something around so she can use it for inspiration or maybe she sometimes brings clients in to show them what she can do... although of course it wouldn't make sense for clients to come in if they're climbing up that ladder. I love the new animal shed and I love the raised crops. Oh also I know you were saying you thought the greenhouse should go behind but I actually think it looks really cool in front.... For some reason to me it feels even more like this is not built brand new but that it was kind of repurposed. Overall I love it and you did a great job and very happy to see you again!
You do know your big fans would’ve loved to see the whole process, even if it’s an hour 😂💙 we missed you, love how the build came out, looks amazing!. 🤩
I'm loving the renovation & have a suggestion for the "extension of the boot room" - quite a lot of farmhouses/estates in England have rooms like that leading off the kitchen as a sort of scullery/utility room, which you could put laundry & a dishwasher in if you wanted to ☺️ plus quite often they might also have a little breakfast table (if you have space) so you don't have to use the formal dining space all the time 👍 In my family home when I was younger that was the dog/art room (for messy kids playing with paint 😅) Happy to see you again! I'm glad things have settled down a bit but please also know it's always okay to take time off 💚
Hope you and Deli are settling into your new home. The build is Awesome, you did such a great job on it. Any Sim would love to live here. Don't forget you have planted a money tree on the island of death. I did not notice, but is Grim still there... Thank You :)
If the chickens are an issue, you could use the get famous tape fence and gate as an “invisible” fence - it’s flat to the ground and blends pretty well with flooring and pretty easy to hide with landscaping as well - and sims can use the “gate” on it without having a big gate disrupting the visual.
I really admire your dedication, I cannot imagine putting so much effort and time into something like this without going insane XD I love the end result! It looks super cool and like a very cozy family home
"We're actually just coming out of autumn, or fall, in the game, so everything is a bit brown at the moment... But it's getting more green" Semaj, your Australian is showing 😂 You're seriously in your element with big builds like this! 😍
The spare room upstairs could have workout equipment. That open area by the back door could have a small powder room for when they are working outside. It feels to me like the greenhouse and formal garden would be at the front of the house and the crop fields and animal sheds would be in the back half where they weren't as visible. The house is absolutely gorgeous and I love the water tower, but it feels like things don't match up. Beautiful estate house with animal sheds in front garden, stepping out the side door to crop fields and chickens running around, etc. But then again, I've always felt Hazel liked fancy things and Chas and Trenton basically go to the market in their underwear and leave large puddles and dirty dishes everywhere, so maybe this is how the three of them would compromise and choose to live. Welcome back! I've missed your content.
Thank you James.. you gave this old lady a *wonderful* birthday present! So happy to see your smiling face! The property is absolutely beautiful and fabulously creative! 🥳
Welcome back!!! I really love the castle you are making for Chaz-LOL! It is looking wonderful!! And I wanted to add that I agree with some of the comments, you can put the weather machine under the turret, and put solar panels on the sheds and maybe even the roof of the water tower, or how about putting wind generators on top of the greenhouse, that way you can get some energy from those. And this is one time, I wish the telescope wasn't a huge item but the only thing I can suggest you do is either sell it or do what you did with the animal sheds and put a shell around it and have the top of the telescope sticking out. Like an observatory.
It looks so amazing James! This was the perfect renovation, I think it makes a lot of sense for them to live altogether in the big house. If you think about it, Trenton has helped making the farm this big and profitable so it is fair that he and his family get to live in the big house.
Welcome back, Semaj!!! Maybe the extra room could be a guest room or a dog room?! Also, the plant kit’s gorgeous hanging plants should definitely be shown off in the farmers’ home since it only seems right!
Oh man, that's an awesome new manor house! :D It's nice to see everyone finally getting to live together properly, and I love the new layout! The water power around the back with the collectors is a great idea too. :D I hope everything works as expected/intended! Hope you're doing good!
Yay, so happy you're back! The build is beautiful 😍 cant wait to see how it grows. You could turn the spare room into a hobby/games room with nifty knitting or cross stitch stuff, play stuff for the kids to do together, etc. Also, you should move the current upgraded roombas upstais to make it easier to upgrade the new ones
Love the reno! Can’t wait to see more of this let’s play. 😄 You’re right, the greenhouse would look better in the back. Something that works for me when I move gardens: If you have move objects on and wall in the formal garden you should be able to move it or copy it as a room.
I love the new country house 😍 Chaz has really come a long way also re: kits, I'd rather support cc community creators tbh, especially when the kits are just cas or furniture items, I feel like there's so much better cc out there that kits are just.... redundant
A really nice build James. Sone suggestions: put the weather machine and telescope on the roof of the house. The empty room on top could work. The other empty room could be an entertainment room, a place to develop skills, or a playroom for the kids. Have an awesome day.
The renovation looks absolutely amazing! That spare bedroom near Chaz’s room could be an activity room for Chaz. Also, I love the idea of that tower room being a creative space for Hazel.
I was just thinking how I missed this lp! I love the house, that sunroom would be AMAZING to sit in and drink you’re morning coffee! The spare room could be Kim’s room if she moves in as Chaz’s platonic partner.
So happy to have you back even if it’s just for a little while! Take your time with everything. Moving is stressful and time consuming, and so is life in general 💖
Welcome back James! We've missed you! Hope everything went fine with moving and everything! Congrats on the nice office, too! Thank you for that wonderful renovation, it's truly magnificent!
It's great to see you back! Great work on the house ❤️ The thing you mentioned about moving the greenhouse to the back at some point could be great - you could step down from the house into the garden instead of the crops and maybe that could help with separating the chickens from the whole lot again 😅
Hi James... nice to see you back and with a gorgeous build. You could have a music room, you know with the piano and violins. The kids could be tutored there 🤔
I love how it looks! ❤️ The chicken should definitely be stopped 😅.. I don't mind the greenhouse being at the front... I have seen plenty of farms with a similar layout. I can't wait to see what you do with the telescope and weather machine. 😂
THIS IS SO GOOD, I am so happy you did this!! Might be my favourite build of yours ever, I'm a sucker for old estate houses. Can't wait to see how it develops further during the LP, yay!!!
Welcome back James. This is an amazing transformation to the farm. You really outdid yourself with this build. What about some kind of observatory for the telescope? I'd kinda like to see how you would build one..no idea where it could go but it's so big..maybe enclosing it would work..don't know just a thought. Glad you are back. Can't wait for more videos and let's plays from you. Hugs for Deli and Bowser too!! xo ❤️
Really really love this renovation! I like to imagine they all sat down together, looked at the profits they'd made and decided to start this huge family home for the all to live together again
Looks amazing! I’ve been enjoying all the other family tree videos that lead up to this and the Bigwallet family has come such a long way. Can’t wait to see more. Merry Christmas 🎄
Love it, it’s beautiful! You should turn the spare room into a playroom for the kiddos. Move the tent into there along with some toys and maybe a don’t wake the llama game or something. And once they’re older, swap it with the office and turn it into a sitting room with a home bar - they give us so many to choose from, might as well use them! 😂
Hi James! This is Julia. Gio showed me your message this morning. Thank you for taking the time to send me some encouragement! We moved a few months ago too so I understand how stressful moving can be! Don't worry about not posting a lot of videos. Nice to see the office coming together 😊
I really enjoy the organic evolution of your builds over the course of the LP. Such a cool process to watch, how the build grows and changes with the story.
So glad you’re back James! I’ve missed you and I’ve missed the series! The renovation looks fantastic and you can tell that this lot is a true labor of love for you. Looking forward to seeing things kick off again. 🎄❤️🎄
I love this! Just in case anyone wanted larger Cottage Living windows and did use CC (I know James doesn't really but I am a cc fiend), Peacemaker has an add on set called Grand Henford which has larger versions of all the windows used in this build and made a matching door. Perfect for country manor builds!
Yay, James is back! :) Good to see you! How about moving in Kim into the spare bedroom? Just as you planned some time ago. Would be awesome to have her as Chaz's companion, they don't even have to be an actual "thing". :)
Large old UK estates and houses often have multiple staircases because some were for use by servants only so they could move around the house more discretely. Love the renovation!
I'm from the Cotswolds and I have to say that the exterior aesthetic is spot on. This looks like so many manor houses from where I grew up. The old house was good but it looked more like a property that you would see on a 1940s housing estate than a formal farm. If you're not aware, there is an organisation in the uk called The National Trust which cares for many historic buildings. If you're looking to build this kind of estate in the future their website should give you lots of inspiration for exteriors, interiors and the layout of formal gardens and parkland. Especially if you want to get a specific regions aesthetic correct. Anyway, great job!
Welcome back, James! I hope you are doing well! Happy Holidays to you and Deligracy! As for this build, this is quite a change from a guy who started out in an ally! It's a breathtaking lot. I hope you upload it!
Such a beautiful renovation, and I love that the family is under one roof now! Can't wait to see it in action in the let's play!! Maybe the spare bedroom can be for Chaz' (platonic) partner?
Love the build!! Should one of the rooms be Chaz and Trenton’s prize room with all of their fair ribbons? They could have some giant crops in there beside the ribbons or pictures of the animals that won the ribbon.
Everything looks so good James omg this is so well done! Thank you for coming back and another great video ^^ Could we please have a cas update for this family too? I feel like it would be very refreshing to see some new outfits for everyone
JAMES !!! welcome back buddy we all really missed you and glad you are doing well. suggestion ?? maybe the spare bedroom could be for the dogs lol cause chaz loves spoiling his animals and gives them so much love
Thank God you are back!! Love this lets play!! I think Hazel still needs a studio space and it would be fun to use the other upper roof layers as an attic-keep the weather machine and some boxes etc up there maybe. And the spare room could be library or even a "game room".. in manors there are often Billiards rooms for pool and whatnot... Add a little bar nook and it can be for entertaining
I would love to see chaz adopt. We haven’t seen that in the bigwallet family yet. I like the idea that chaz made all this money and chose to spend it to take care of his brother and his family because he loves his niece and nephew so much, and that made him want a child of his own. The adopted child wouldn’t need to be an heir, but would still be cool.
What a house!! This is what Chaz really deserved. I'm glad to see you back with this amazing build, I had really missed the building James. I wouldn't bother moving the farm forward because it's a lot of work to move the middle garden so if you can find the space in the back for the greenhouse great, if not renovate the existing one to a really elegant, fancy and put together 💙💙
Awesome reno/build. I like what you did with the animal topiarys in the front garden. Suggestions: if you are going to move the greenhouse, shift the formal garden in line with the sunroom. That also lets you fence the chickens and crops in without blocking off the patio. Hazel's office can be the first tower level, but you could open up the top tower level and put in the telescope. The weather machine could just sit on the back patio and maybe stick a couple of outdoor plants around it. There's some nice formal planters in the Romantic Garden Stuff Pack and in Get Together that would look great on the patio. To cover the little hole beneath the fountain, you could maybe scale down the grass "bush" or use a grassy looking flower bed and fill it in. Just turn the dust system off, I've found it gets annoying with tall narrow builds (like your tower) since they don't have space to vacuum and giving up precious space for a roomba is annoying.
I think you did a good job renovating the big house because I believe they now have the it house for them. I would like to see the return of the solar panels even if they're just on the sheds and workshop. Quick suggestion for the chickens: In the front of the house nearest the stairs that led to the farm plots, you put a bush with pink flowers near a counter of the house. Maybe you could put some fencing with a gate there and one in the back in a similar place for keeping the chickens where you want them. Quick suggestion for Fae Fae and Hagrid: Get them a another food bowl in case they are hungry at the same time and maybe give Hagrid a bed if you didn't already since Fae Fae has one. Suggestions for the sun room: knitting and cross-stitch kits on the coffee table as while as some plants somewhere in the room. Suggestions for Chaz's other room: 1. fill it with planets from the plant kit as well as other parts of the game and put mediation pillows in the center, so they can mediate and be one with the plants. 2. mediation pillows and yoga mats. 3. a séance table so Chaz can summon his mother. 4. have Chaz adopt a kid. 5. Kim's room
Chaz has come along way! Remember when he started out in the alleyway with nothing. He is living like a real Bigwallet now!
Just a man and his frog against the world
Loved the renovation! A tip about the dew collectors: you can size them down, they still work fine and it's easier for your Sims to move around them and do the maintenance interactions.
thanks for the tip! I think that water tower is such a creative cover up for those ugly collectors.
I thought he sized some down and put them in the pond already? Maybe that was something else.
@@birdgirl8390 same! They are useful for challenges and reducing bills, but such an eyesore 😩

And they could put a telescope up there, if they want to watch the skies
but there is no window at the first level up. not really ideal for a designer..
You might want to put stone or tiles under the fireplaces, they always catch on fire on wooden floors even when they are fully upgraded.

I really admire your dedication, I cannot imagine putting so much effort and time into something like this without going insane XD
I love the end result! It looks super cool and like a very cozy family home
"We're actually just coming out of autumn, or fall, in the game, so everything is a bit brown at the moment... But it's getting more green"
Semaj, your Australian is showing 😂 You're seriously in your element with big builds like this!
Happy belated Birthday!!🥳🎂
@@irishduchess7577 - Thank you! Cheers to you!
I LOVE THIS RENOVATION! And I am happy, James finally back!
YASSSS! SO GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK! I've missed your videos!
THE RENO IS OUTSTANDING
ok I'll stop screaming now lmao
I think you really nailed the vibes! My grandma has a farm and a lot of this build reminds me of a fancier version of her home
Oh cannot wait for you to get a hold of the new story progression function! Congrats on all the progress with your new office :D!
You’re right, the greenhouse would look better in the back. Something that works for me when I move gardens: If you have move objects on and wall in the formal garden you should be able to move it or copy it as a room.
I love the new country house 😍 Chaz has really come a long way
also re: kits, I'd rather support cc community creators tbh, especially when the kits are just cas or furniture items, I feel like there's so much better cc out there that kits are just.... redundant
I love the progression of all of this. I have a hard time following let’s plays but I am totally invested in this. Love it!
A really nice build James. Sone suggestions: put the weather machine and telescope on the roof of the house. The empty room on top could work. The other empty room could be an entertainment room, a place to develop skills, or a playroom for the kids. Have an awesome day.
Beautiful job, James! So creative and lovely. I missed your uploads - so glad you’re back!
I think it's okay for the "attic" to be dusty😊👍
Also such a beautiful home for all of them😊☺️
LOVE the renovation! That spare room could be perfect for Kim! I still want to see her being part of the family.
Such a beautiful renovation! I'm really looking forward to seeing your LP again!
Welcome back James! We've missed you! Hope everything went fine with moving and everything! Congrats on the nice office, too! Thank you for that wonderful renovation, it's truly magnificent!
Very happy for Chaz finally has his own space, and furnished properly, he started from an alley😩😩😩😩
welcome back James!
It's great to see you back! Great work on the house ❤️
The thing you mentioned about moving the greenhouse to the back at some point could be great - you could step down from the house into the garden instead of the crops and maybe that could help with separating the chickens from the whole lot again 😅
Hi James... nice to see you back and with a gorgeous build.
Jamessss this looks so good! I love your attention to detail with the mown grass!! so glad you’re back 🤩
THIS IS SO GOOD, I am so happy you did this!!
So glad to see you! Welcome back, you were missed. Awesome renovation!
Looks amazing! I’ve been enjoying all the other family tree videos that lead up to this and the Bigwallet family has come such a long way. Can’t wait to see more. Merry Christmas 🎄
What a reno! Can't wait to see the LP continue here :D
Thanks for the tip!
Love the renovation! Welcome back James - we missed you! I just love getting new videos from you!
The house looks AMAZING, James! Don't apologize about having to take time to move and take care of yourself! Glad you're back
Love the build!! Should one of the rooms be Chaz and Trenton’s prize room with all of their fair ribbons? They could have some giant crops in there beside the ribbons or pictures of the animals that won the ribbon.
That looks really nice James, can't wait for the LP.
Everything looks so good James omg this is so well done! Thank you for coming back and another great video ^^
Could we please have a cas update for this family too? I feel like it would be very refreshing to see some new outfits for everyone
Love the reno! Worth the wait, I think it looks great!
JAMES !!! welcome back buddy we all really missed you and glad you are doing well. suggestion ?? maybe the spare bedroom could be for the dogs lol cause chaz loves spoiling his animals and gives them so much love
I like that idea too!
I know that butlers are a bit buggy, but you could totally turn the spare bedroom into a butler's quarters
I like this idea! A house this fancy needs a Butler.
The king has returned (and by that I mean Chaz)!!!!!!!!
The lot turned out beautiful, every hour spent on the renovation was worth.
I wouldn't bother moving the farm forward because it's a lot of work to move the middle garden so if you can find the space in the back for the greenhouse great, if not renovate the existing one to a really elegant, fancy and put together 💙💙
you can size down the play tent and it still works! i vote no laundry because there is already SO much to take care of
I was wondering if you could size it down, like the dollhouses. Thanks for the tip!
Quick suggestion for the chickens:
In the front of the house nearest the stairs that led to the farm plots, you put a bush with pink flowers near a counter of the house. Maybe you could put some fencing with a gate there and one in the back in a similar place for keeping the chickens where you want them.
Quick suggestion for Fae Fae and Hagrid:
Get them a another food bowl in case they are hungry at the same time and maybe give Hagrid a bed if you didn't already since Fae Fae has one.
Suggestions for the sun room:
knitting and cross-stitch kits on the coffee table as while as some plants somewhere in the room.
Suggestions for Chaz's other room:
1. fill it with planets from the plant kit as well as other parts of the game and put mediation pillows in the center, so they can mediate and be one with the plants.
2. mediation pillows and yoga mats.
3. a séance table so Chaz can summon his mother.
4. have Chaz adopt a kid.
5. Kim's room
Welcome back James! Hope everything is going well. I’m always happy when I see that you’ve uploaded. The renovation looks amazing as well. Take care.
