You put into words a headcanon I didnt know I also had.
One thing worth noting about Zhongli btw, which I remembered. Is that he never breaks a contract, and follows a contract to the letter. A marriage is essentially a contract. So all that marriage stuff about 'until death do us apart', 'love you through sickness and health', all those marriage vows. He'd do that to the letter. Like, if Zhongli felt ready to marry you, he's committing to stay for life and to treat you well. So in that sense he's a very safe choice.
However, there's definitely risk of it being a boring marriage in the long run, and he'd hold you to the same standard of the 'contract' as well, so you better not over promise at the Alter 😅. There'd also definitely be money issues as he doesn't know the value of money, so he'd be spending money you don't have. Although I think he's got stuff going for him, he definitely wouldn't be a top choice for me still, personally.
Yes the current zhongli is kinda boring. He is like a grandpa telling stories. I still love him tho. He can be the calm spirit in this relationship.
But the younger zhongli we hear from stories. Damn, that's the spicy one. I imagine him like xiao but less cute-edgy more serious but still immature, like an untihero. I would definitely be into that. ;)

I actually love his so called boringness. He seems to be a person with plenty of stories to tell, he also has a wealth of knowledge. Plus, he’s a man who’ll listen. I remember his quest for the salt god and eventhough he was being criticised, he listened till the end. I need someone like that haha. I would love to have a boring husband like him.

Well his hangout proved this, he basically manipulate a man who does the Kamisato clan dirty by taking away his source of income (and he does this verrryy easily) and he also called the Inazuma's government officials "degenerates". He isn't as innocent as he seems, he's one of those "Hurt me its ok, but if you hurt my loved ones I'll pay you back twice as hard"
Itto doesn't strike me as the husband type... like, he's super loyal and caring but i don't know if he'd ever hard commit to marriage. More of a perma-boyfriend.

Honestly the scariest thing about this is how old Aether MIGHT be, just because they don't age visibly in 500 years even after being turned into cubes. As a world-class Thoma simp, I am greatly displeased. But I respect your opinion. Albedo is defs a good pick too!!
Okay but look me in the eye and tell me Zhongli wouldn't show you unwavering loyalty and commitment, he'd pull a captain Holt during his wedding speech: "Marriage is a contract. But it’s so much more than that. Marriage is love. It’s commitment, it’s joy, it’s understanding, it’s patience, it’s anger, it’s reconciliation. It’s everything. It’s like oatmeal. It sustains you."
Zhongli would be the guy who's super old fashioned in expressing his love but that only shows you how genuine he is being. He'd probably know all the amazing places in Liyue to take you that he has taken nobody else to. Funniest thing is too, he'd likely treat marriage as a contract and be loyal till the very end.
Best choice in my opinion. (Just don't leave any of the financial duties to him.)

Honestly out of all the guys I think I'd marry Itto. He's just such a fun and sweet guy. (Thoma is a close second, and Kaeya is still in the running even if he doesn't feel very husband-material-y lmao)
Kaeya and Diluc can both be secret keepers when they feel it’s necessary, but considering they were close when they were younger I’m not surprised they share a one or two character traits here and there. But I think Diluc is more likely to be honest with a potential partner.

For me it’s Zhongli! Haha everyone calls him a grandpa and some feel he’s boring. But I love listening to stories and discussing various topics, and Zhongli is right up my alley. Calm and patient, a man as steady as a rock, with him beside me I would have no fear to face the world. I still remember him during 2.7 event, he saved Xiao… I was so happy to see him, because I knew he would come from the moment they showed the conversation between Xiao and him.
Ok now I’m rambling, but I adore him.

So many call Kazuha and Xiao flight risks but for those of us who highly prefer to do things on their own most of the time, then they aren’t as much of a flight risk. We all can go do our own things and come back when need be.
Cause both of them care deeply about those around them and have proven to be willing to sacrifice themselves for those people. That’s dedication and loyalty, even if they enjoy their time more on their own or at least, on the go.
Just because you are always physically there doesn’t mean that you are going to be there mentally and/or emotionally. It comes down to which you put more importance on.

Albedo may not be that open to relationships, but he would be the type of person that if he cares about you he’d be willing to put his life on the line to save you, plus he got that smarts and art bonus. He also is probably a good cook considering he packs his own lunches, he also can take care of kids as seen with klee
Albedo is the guy you would date in college and be gaga over, meanwhile Thoma is the guy you would definitely marry and stay married to for most of your adult life and stay in love with.
Thoma would not only be such a good husband and father (be it to children or pets), but he would be good to learn from and would want to teach others how to care for themselves.

For me, it ended up on Diluc (charming gentleman with issues) vs Gorou (soft and fierce boi of honor) and I really couldn't pick between them, because they both have their up and down sides as husbandos.
Meanwhile, IRL I married... Bennett! Yep. Minus the looks, he's 80-90% Benny boy (adult now). I do have a couple regrets regrading such a decision, ahahaha. But we love each other despite the buttload of misfortunes constantly pouring our way. We're happy, more often than not.

If I were going to do the monogamy thing again, I think I'd go for Kaeya or Xingqiu. Xingqiu because he's so kind, and loves books, and would love to find the good in the world with you and ignore the mundane (who would do the dishes? Probably a maid because we would definitely fuel each other's dislike for chores and busywork). Kaeya because all his time carousing and info-gathering at the tavern would mean he perfectly knows how to make you feel loved and appreciated even if he's actually married to his work. Also, both of them are wickedly intelligent and cunning, which would give them a better chance of keeping me entranced, I think.
Albedo, who I absolutely adore so much, just as much as if not more than the above- feels like he wouldn't have that husband feel. Like you'd be the very best friends with benefits. You'd visit, help him with experiments, flirt a little, act on it... but then he'd be wanting solitude for his thoughts and you'd (I'd) need to escape from the mountain and do... something. Anything.
