Interestingly, the asymmetrical locks on both Kaeya and Eula according to some people are called lovelocks, which were common amongst European aristocracy for showing that they were already devoted to something or someone. So yeah, at least with those two, the asymmetry was intentional

Even tho some of the genshin characters have yeeyee ass haircuts, I think they make the character designs more interesting. I'd rather have wacky mullets and rat tails instead of npc hair cuts on all the characters.

IKR I love asymmetrical haircuts. I do agree the thin rat tails and ningguangs thin hair should just be a bit more filled out though oh yeah and albedo with more fluff for his hair like his art. Then the haircuts would be a bit fixed up and nicer looking on the models.

ayaka has a traditional hime cut, but her hair is just put up and the hime bangs are tied. that is why her blunt cut bangs are shorter than the side bangs, and then the rest of the hair is long. iirc the hime cut was saved for high-ranking ladies in japan from centuries ago, at one point it was a coming-of-age ceremony.
it makes sense that ayaka has one because she is one of the most powerful and high-ranking people in inazuma, and the title of shirasagi himegimi is closely aligned to people basically referring to her as a princess of some sorts. it was considered an incredibly important and iconic hairstyle.
it’s now still done as a fashion statement. momo from twice has rocked it before.

I like Yanfei hair length. Not too long but not short. Yun Jin's and Ayaka's has my fave bangs. I like the half-tied hairstyle on the women particularly on Beidou's. Tartaglia, Bennet, and Chongyun's are my fave men hairstyle so far in the game. Blonde is my fave color particularly Thoma's shade. Yelan's is my fave two-tone styled.

If you ask me, Raiden Shogun has the absolute best and most perfect braid in the the whole game. Aether can't compare, Shenhe can't compare, and any other character with a braid just can't compare. Literally a divine braid.

@@notraidenshogun8324 I definitely agree with you about Zhongli having long hair, and Thoma’s low ponytail, the thing about their hair that bothers me is the fact that only the hair at the bottom is long, and the rest is styled like the short haired characters, so it looks like either they have hair extensions but didn’t bother to style the rest of the hair with them, or they have a mullet 😂 Basically, if they either chop off the ponytails, or grow the rest of their hair out with it, I would be much happier 🤗

In chinese and japanese culture, their hair was a symbol of loyalty and honor towards their clan/country/leader/whatever. (In Japan, this was mostly just with Samurai)
Cutting it off was seen as a sign of disrespect and rejection.
Zhongli's hair is a symbol of his loyalty and honor to Liyue

I also think people are too hard on Diluc, I like everyone better in the comics which makes sense because you don't have to animate/create character models, but his low ponytail kind of suits him.
Like the new skin looks ok... And I do LIKE the high ponytail, but it's just not as full and fluffy as it should be, so it kinda looks awkward again... Also I really think his new outfit doesn't suit him like at all personality wise, it's giving Childe mixed with Kaeya vibes.

The down hair on most of the boys it also a thing of culture in asian countries like china and japan down hair people are in abundance and it also look formal i remember the time when i stand my hair and my parents were in disgust with it.

For Ayaka the two front parts are called a Hime cut which were given to Japanese princesses years ago, so they serve a purpose 👍

The reason I think Kazuhas ponytail is sideways is because: when he grabbed his dying friends vision, his hand got burnt by it and that's why he has bandages over it, and u cant set a ponytail with 1 hand so that's why I think its uneven.
