I...have to agree. Natasha is just a healer with nothing extra on the sides. A good one for the start of the game, where mobs have physical weakness and only hit one of your units per turn, but in the boss fights on the Luofu, especially Phantylia and her debuffs, you can see how she would start lacking. And I don't even want to remember the suffering I went through with the Swarm King.
That being said, she will always have a special place in my personal MVPs, just like Barbara. As someone who started in 2.0, she was my only sustain available. I got Clara in standard at a moment where my only options in promotional were DPS and buffers, and I was too dumb to maximize M7's taunt mechanics. I also couldn't get Lynx because I had no second team for Pure Fiction, so she basically carried my entire playthrough until the end of 2.1.
Thankfully right now I have both Aventurine and Fu Xuan, because if Swarm and Gold taught me something, is that Preservation units are the superior sustainers.
I beat Phatylia with Natasha. It was the first boss that made me realize that I needed a healer on my team lol. Now I use Gallagher and Lynx
I never got to use Nat because I obtained lynx before I got her (I have Gallagher now and there's basically no other abundance I want other than Luocha), but I do agree with this video completely
Yeah, I never built Natasha bc I got lucky with Bailu and Gepard at the time. And then I built Lynx when she came out. Gallagher and Luocha is all you need for abundance tbh
@@Aidadsgaming Yeah, and she has even less value now that i'm using a break effect team, it's a shame because as a character I think she's really cool but Hoyo undercooked her so hard.

My annual report for HSR was almost all Natasha. She has almost 9K HP and her Ultimate saved me way too many times. Yes and I did have Gepard but Natasha's gameplay was a lot better for me since her skill healed alongside her burst. Unlike Gepard who only gave a shield with his Ultimate.
....Though I did retire her once Adventurine and his cracked shields came out.
Wait, you have both Gepard and Aventurine in a team?
Damn your Natasha sounds cracked. I feel that though, I retired Gepard once Aventurine came out 😅
I beat Sam by out-healing his damage when everyone else was dead
@@blackadder5346 I used Bailu and Gepard in a team (revive meta when?). Much like Noelle and Barbara, it's an easy way to bulldoze through the story if you don't have a good team built yet.
honestly they did natasha so dirty in hsr. in hi3rd natasha is my ranged fire support for HoF
I remember fighting the Abundance Deer for the first time all the way back in 1.0, Natasha was still my only healer and I wasn't a huge fan of shields that time and that deer was able to wipe out the entire team with its charge attack except for Natasha. I just found it really funny that she was lowkey my strongest built unit at that point despite obtaining Seele and Himeko who can easily kill the deer.
Edit: Her E1 was definitely the reason why she survived the attack

As someone who played a lot at launch, and then stopped playing much as time went on but recently came back with the release of Penacony, I still use Natasha just cus she’s one of the few characters I had built 😭
Great video! Really fun editing, and the music was really good. And yeah, Natasha is really suspicious as a healer especially when compared to the just-as-accessible competition :( I’d personally love to see an Arlan video though!!
I didn't knew that nobody uses her until now. She is my main somehow, and my only kind of build character.
Really the only reason now is because there's so many other better sustain options (healers + shielders alike) that offer more than Natasha. Back in 1.0 everyone used her because she was literally the only healer in the game other than bailu, and Natasha could be argued to be better than bailu if cleanse was needed

Natasha has been the only healer I’ve used since I’ve started the game, and I’ve just been trying to get my other healers(lynx and Gallagher) up to a high enough level to use since I got both of them while I was on equilibrium level 3
I got Gepard before I got Nat and I remember thinking I wouldn't need her since I have Gepard yet my brother told me I'll need a healer too so I lvled her as well. After using her a few times I definitely didn't like her so I barely used her and like when I got Luocha it was joever for her, I never put her on any other team till this day. Then eventually I got Huohuo and Aventurine as well so I don't need anymore sustain and I remember getting Luocha since I was so tired of using Nat plus I was gonna pull Blade and I did lvl Lynx a bit plus had got alot of eidolons for her when her originally came out.
natasha definitely carried my team far(like to phantylia) until the game told me to use geppy by giving him to me 3 times in a row(dhil banner + 20 standard pulls). the only other sustains i switch to are luocha(debuff team), gallagher(debuff, bad break team, or right element type) or sometimes bailu(right element type). i just havent properly built lynx yet lmao
I like Natasha, she is a healer I used until I reached the 300 standard pull and picked Bailu (yes I did that but I literally had no healer outside her), I don't consider preservation characters healers and prefer to avoid using them (at one point I used both Fire MC with Nat lmao). Of course, I no longer use her due to getting broken midgets (Fu Xuan and Huo Huo) but I'd say she is still solid for newer players.
For the people that started playing the game on the first month of release, yeah maybe you will drop Nat because you pulled something better but for newer players she will be clutch as she was for all of us at one point.
That’s a good point! I think her heals are competent enough for new players and will def be good for them until they get a better one tbh.
@Lordjunimon honestly, for any team built around most of the top tier DPSes, Preservation units will be better. But if it's a team that relies on HP consumption like Jingliu-Blade, then that Preservation is actually bad because Blade needs to take damage in order to trigger his talent

Yea so i main nat and now firefly i use nat and gallegher she is usefull bc ner ulti has only 90 cost wich is actualy usefull and break efect is also pretty good (she removes debufs too) im in penacony she is still one of my favorite units
I remember all I had for a healer for a long time was Natasha. If it weren't for her and her healing, I wouldn't have been able to clear so much challenging content. Never had a 5 star healer since the game came out. Yeah, I have Bailu as my only 5 star healer as of right now, but I use her in only certain fights. Heck, I remember using both Aventurine and Bailu during the boss fight with Sunday. Honestly, Aventurine just does most of the work on my teams without much need of a healer. I'd rather have Luocha as my 5 star healer, so I have to wait til he gets a rerun again.
Haven't built up Gallagher yet, so I gotta do that to get a backup.
She is my most used character. She is the most suitable healer for my teams.
When lynx and huohuo came out, everyone knew she’s fucked 😂
Nat carried me for the first few months of the game, especially in early SU. Her debuff cleanse and self-res clutched out so many battles for me. It was her and Bailu for a long time. But then Fu Xuan changed the very definition of "sustain" for me and I never looked back. Nat is a strong starter healer with good utility for a free 4*, but even the few recent 4* sustains we've gotten since her have been better. I love everything about her but there's just no way she can keep up.
Nat is def a good early-mid game unit for sure… I just wish she was more competitive with the other 4 stars 🙂↕️
I got Bailu as my first standard banner character so I never had to use Natasha
I still use Natasha, like she was a life saver for me during the entire Belebog & Xianzhou sagas. And even more so on Penacony. I refuse to drop her. I refuse!!
She's that one healer who's supposed to cure her team once all are on the verge of death
i used to rely on her all the time since shes the only healer i got. now i got like gallagher, who heals so much better than natasha, and plus i need him for my firefly team. natasha does like, a shitty 400 hp heal while my gallagher does over 1k heal, plus his ult heals himself to almost full hp or just full hp.
In the later game sure you'll have better units but she's a very good free Healer in the start. Can heal a lot, cleanse. And she isn't bad. And tbh bailu is worst because she has no cleanse and weird random healing.
I am one of those people that use her i pray one day she gets buffed or something
Unfortunately Hoyo isn’t well known for going back and buffing old characters, especially 4 stars. Natasha is definitely usable, but I would recommend to either build up the 300 warps on standard and choose Bailu, or wait and pull for a limited 5 star abundance/preservation character 😊

The curse of being the starting characters, they didn't even have main stat and force to use every stat. I think it's after Lynx that healers starting to using only hp as their main status.
There should be a feature to hide chracter on the characters section.
I just dont want to see my retired character being there whenever i open the characters screen and felt bad that they are powercreeped and is no longer usable in most contents now.
Also its waste of money bcz people used real money to acquire them.
I was a full on natasha main until i got Aventurine.
Despite everything you said .. .my team would be literally dead without her so No I have worked really hard on mine and she always heals everyone with over 2000 hp especially when we need it the most. May I suggest you put a shield on Natasha when you are in battle to make the most to keep her surviving along with the team. Also so long as you are NOT competing with someone else.. Meta that term.. does not exist or count. This isn't yugioh or some other tcg.. so meta.. doesn't matter in this case.
yeah, Natasha is just a free basic character that gets outclassed by every other abundance type later, the only reasn I kept using her was bacousa she was already build and I didn't wanted to build Lynx lol
I mean, she's Barbara in an environment where that role is much more regimented and less able to exceed with weird team comps and synergies.
She heals. She'll do that quite well actually. She can even cleanse, giving her a leg up on Bailu. But it's just that's all she'll do.
FWIW my Nat ults freakishly quick and so hasn't really had trouble keeping other characters alive. It's just that all other sustainers, tank or healer, are naturally going to have some niche that allows for better synergy than the designated bare-bones healer.

Until recently i only had a e0 lynx but a E6 natasha with best in slot LC and top 10 % relics for here so she better

Nope, I still use her to this day, and she is my main healer to this day, and I don't plan to change that 😃
once I have Luocja I retire her.
Ever since Phantylia I've been reluctant to use her, and now that I have Bailu and Gallagher, I just run them. The Game8 tier list puts Natasha at A right now, but she should be in B.
Prydwen has her at T4, which is pretty near the bottom. Say what you want about prydwen tier list but putting her against literally every other sustain in the game there is no reason to rank her higher than any of them (except arguably bailu because of her lack of cleanse but even then bailu heals way more)

She's a bad unit, but i really do like the esthetics, va, and lore of Natasha. HSR is such a great game

She's just straight up bad, that's it. It was my most used character because i didn't have any sustainers for like 7 months except her. As soon as i got lynx/gepard i never used natasha again
If 3 star characters were a thing it would only have Natasha 😂
