- Demo of what I could show of the Milwaukee m12 stubby 1/2 impact with the use of a 4amp battery and a 6amp battery. Special shootout to Barricade Garage for the help with this video. Your guidance was key and here is the link to his channel

Having wasting money on a Chicago Electric 61173 from HF, I now have a Milwaukee 2767-22R and 2962-20 in my arsonal, the 2962-20 being used from lug nuts and such. Evaluating the 2555-20, I see no niche for the tool, it being under powered for its 1/2-inch drive. In the near future, I plan to round out my impact wrench arsonal with the Milwaukee 2554-22 and 2552-20, the 3/8-inch drive being a match for the stubby. Having stated that, I might be tempted to add the Milwaukee 3453-20 instead of acquiring a hex bit quick release holder for the Milwaukee 2552-20, preferring a 1/4-impact driver that could fit into tighter spaces.
Great review .I definitely would be careful when doing the nuts up with any electric wrench. I always screw the nut onto the bolt by hand , first couple of threads will do then use the electric wrench . I'v seen too many people cross thread the nut with the electric wrench,it will cut its own threads if you're not careful and wreck the bolt. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for the advice
great review, I like the background music and how you edited the video. that tool is a beast, thanks for sharing.
I agree definitely a a must have impact
Raw demos are my favorite
HANDS DOWN BEST REVIEW OF THIS TOOL YET!!!
Really appreciate it
Those lugs on that van at 4:30 have to be way too tight if 250 ft/lbs of torque won't get them off. There are videos of this impact going to 270 ft/lbs with an adapter.
I dont think soeven without adapter
Yep. They used the high impact driver to tighten them to full capacity. Ridiculous.
@@russellleahy I watched a video where they used a snap on torque wrench at 260 lb ft and with adapter it broke the nut loose..
Love my Stubby Impact, light and powerful.
One of my best investments
That is the little engine that could, impressed that it could remove an axle nut.
As was I many times over. I love this little gun
im about to purchase one and i feel like your Video was a more Honest review, just for the simple fact that there was less talking and more work. thank you so much for this SIR!
Thank you so mu h for saying this. Mu hole goal was to show what it could handle or not right away. Sure it went up against things it probably shouldn't be used for but at least we all know what it could do if you needed it to
Love my stubby 1/2 in impact wrench it’s powerful in a 12 volt for tougher jobs I use my ridgid brushless 1/2 inch impact wrench for that great review
I'll have a new tool review coming in about a week. Check back in and give it a watch
I'm and auto body tech and I've been slowly converting everything to cordless tools. I have the fuel 1/4 ratchet and that thing is one of the most versatile tools I've ever used. This 1/2 stubby is next on my list to get. It would be perfect for truck bumpers and quick applications where i need 1/2"
Definitely is one of my favorite tools
The axle nut was very impressive, I didn't expect that
Inwas very shocked as well
Why are you taking the bolts off in the mode 3? You need to used the 4 which is the full speed in reverse and in forward it has auto stop when it senses Overload
Mode 3 is full power, mode 4 wouldn’t have changed the outcome
idk why I chuckled when you put it on the floor jack bolt at the end. I'm thinking leave the poor jack alone hahh
Haha just having to make it interesting to show what it can and cant do lol
I’m just about to get one of these, already have other impacts but it looks ideal for some jobs, looking forward to trying it out on brake carriers etc I think it looks a great size for getting inside wheel arches and things like that👍🏻
Great video! What a beast of a tool
nice, love it I got one today
Awesome impact let me know how it does
Nice 👍
Correction shipping has decreased in the time it takes to get to you. Great video boss
Thank you I appreciate that
Mode 4 loosens at high speed and tightens up to 10ft/lbs. then you use a torque wrench to properly set the bolts. Mode 3 will tighten strong enough to stretch the bolts or warp the wheel. ;). Good video, I liked the raw of it
Thank you and I appreciate the information
Raw demos is where its at
Mode 4 I use it for 10 mm bolts is perfect.
I work with alot of Honda's as your see from this weekend new video that will be posted. I'll definitely try more 4 with a 10mm out
BabyFace Motorsports I use it also on lugs 19mm just to sit the nut down on mag wheels, just perfect. I also use it for motor assembly where impacting too much is not good. In fact I think I use mode 4 by default for anything that requires a torque wrench afterwards... pretty much anything ;)
I like the "smoke" special effects at 6:15
Nice video thank you, i see i could use this in some tight space. I just got the 1/2" impact ratchet, which i love and been using alot lately on my Dodge 2500, question would this tool handle, to last to do a tire rotation to remove 32 lug nut with a 150ft/torque each? And then tighten back? Or should i invest in the high or med torque 1/2" impact 18v gun? Which should i get?
love the gun so easy to use
Absolutely my favorite
@@babyfacemotorsports8463 I mean I absolutely have all an almost all of them the ratchets and their high and mid torque impact don't think I would ever go to any other brand with them
Oh yes I want to keep growing my collection. I've got a a nice amount but I want more
Will the 3/8 stubby remove lugs on wheels as well?
They have the same specs on paper. But the 1/2" has bigger anvil so will be slightly more powerful in practical use.
As for lug nuts, it depends on which nuts and how much you torqued them to. I'd say the risk of finding some you cannot do is quite high, and if you need to use an adapter due to internal nuts then you're screwed with a stubby either way.
I think these were designed for pretty much everything else except for lug nuts...
@@kundetjenesten torque test channel did a video on this exact thing and his tests, very very surprisingly, showed that the 3/8 for some reason put out just a tiny bit more power. Makes no sense I know lol
Show me how to remove the socket, mine seems locked on
Need to get a power wrench for my lugs. 140lbs which do you recommend? Prefer to be a me to use for engine bolts as well if possible
Milwaukee m12 3/8 electric ratchet would be my go to for bolts under the hood or just smaller bolts/easyer to remove bolts.
If you want something for lug nuts ••••
Milwaukee M18 Cordless Impact Wrench with Friction Ring - 1/2Inch Drive, 450 Ft.-Lbs. Torque, Tool Only, Model 2663-20
The 18v stubby's are coming soon, I'd wait and pick up one as it can handle almost anything.
@@Brasshound480 there such a thing? Never heard of that
Try using a shorter socket. Gets you more torque.
I thought the long socket has more mass and therefore more striking power.
80lbs is all that hub needs.
A bigger amp hour battery doesn’t put more power to the motor it just makes it last longer
Thanks for the video. 😇
Your very welcome
looks like tool will do 90% of jobs. Not bad out of a compact 12volt.
Oh yes its definitely a badass tool. Worth getting in my opinion cor anyone looking into getting a battery powered impact
It’s badass when you have the big boy with 1400ft pounds for super duty jobs and then the little boy for everything!
I really want to get another impact
I'm with ya. Anything over this, I'm reaching for air (pneumatic).
In my case battery powered is my best option
If it won’t do a lug nit on a regular truck it is way over tightened. Used mine on lots of nuts torqued to 160 ft lbs no problem.
Kevin Campbell that’s the case most of time unfortunately. With the half arsed shitty garages that replace your wheels and can’t be fucked to tighten the lug nuts with a torque wrench. They just impact them on. Other week I have struggled to loosen M12x1.25 lug with Milwaukee M12 stubby impact then got my breaker bar 600mm and I had to stand on it to looses the nut. Ridiculous
You got balls putting those nuts on with the impact lol
Haha just had to send it
dude that aint no shit. i about shat my pants when i saw that lol
I just got the stubby 1/2 three ago, love it
That other RUclipsr sure looks familiar.
Yes we are co workers. He is also my driving force to grind hard at bring content in my own style to the tabld
The 6AH battery does not have more "power" than the smaller batteries ... it just has more run time.
Nick Brege....you’re wrong. It does.
ruclips.net/video/SDIoKAiESNQ/видео.html
Definitely wrong
6:05
It does have more power. Speaking from hands on experience with multiple m12 tools.
Now try that with new 5Ah High Output
even the XC 4.0 and XC 6.0 will do a better job than those weak XC / XC 3.0
How much
M12 's are history's ! Upgrade's to next ' model's !
Which one?
What lol
M18
It’s too weak. It’s ok if you want a compact tool but if you have to wait for it to work it’s not worth the money.
Its I understand your point. I was showing some bigger items that I thought it might be able to tackle
BabyFace Motorsports thanks for giving an honest unbiased review
I agree I like the form factor and the idea, just not enough power for the money.
Not sure where your looking at prices my guy but on Ebay brand new its $159.00 for the gun. (Milwaukee 2555-20 M12 Fuel Li-ion 1/2 In. Stubby Impact Wrench)
@@babyfacemotorsports8463 I need the battery and charger. So I'm looking at around 240, not horrible I guess. I just bought a dewalt dcf887 with two batteries for 160 the power is pretty good for the size and price but the adapters can't handle the power so I'm thinking about returning
Those nuts on your truck are way over torqued. I can remove nuts torqued to 200 ft/lbs with my 1/2" stubby.
Yes we had to go back threw and tq them down to the right specs later on
Good tools
Absolutely love them
That thing will break lose 250 Ft Lbs, wth did you have those truck lugs torqued to?
I'm not sure what the company I use to work for torqued them too
Is he going around a parking lot loosening lug nuts? Lol
Should of just bought the kit and get some extra batteries or whatever! Always buy the kit because you can always sell the stuff you don’t need!
These impacts are not really designed for tire changes on trucks or suspension work...they are designed for engine work ..hence the reason for stubby
You'd be surprised how well they can do at it though.
@@jake-mv5oi agreed
Lift up the truck and it will work. That's what I do with my 350.
Oh yes for sure
Should’ve used that 4th mode. Strongest one for breaking bolts & nuts. Great demo otherwise.
Thank you I appreciate the honesty. I'm hopefully in a few months I'll make another with more action
I dont know where you got you stubby but I regret buying it my Milwaukee rachet does a better job. Buy the mid range instead you won't regret it
I'm definitely looking into a upgraded impact. Need more power for things at the track
I agreed. The mid torque is only a bit longer than the stubby but with almost 2.5 times the torque power. I was having a hard time deciding which tool to get so I bought both and after testing them for a couple of weeks I returned the stubby. The lug nuts (with built-in slip washer) on my 2003 v10 4x4 Ford Excursion were torqued to 160 to 165 ft-lb and the stubby just couldn't quite remove them while the mid torque only had to hit the nuts for about two seconds. I also have the Harbor Freight Bauer corded impact wrench and I can tell the HF was more powerful (took less than one second to knock loose the lug nut). Now the mid torque is my favorite tool with no cord, much shorter than the Bauer and has all the power I need. That being said I think the stubby with the 2.0 A battery is one super compact sexy little tool that can do quite a bit and I might just go ahead buy it again.
Dam i thought it would be stronger I was thinking about picking up wanting to take my lug nuts off my charger and doing some suspension work
Honestly give it a shot. I'm happy with this. I wanted to test my money's worth and tried things it shouldn't be used on. Some of them wheel studs havent cane off in years
What everyone is forgetting is this is their weakest battery platform and a impact thats designed for tight places with a decent amount of torque all while being light weight. If you're gonna be mainly using a impact for lugs and rusted suspension bolts you would be better off with a m18 mid or high torque.
Completely agree but I have a snap on for that. I plan to switch over. But like you said high tq so infelt showing things that it wouldn't be used for would give people hope that smaller jobs would be no problem at all

Alguien sabe cuánto cuesta? How much??? Sorry,, jeje
Esta en US$ 179.00 más taxes
Solo herramienta, las baterías y los Cargadores son extra
Y do u want to use a shitty 12v for
18v fuel way to go
He was using a fake battery at the start
There is NO way this tool can remove the axle nut. This is a rigged review.
Nope. I've done it with mine. And a pitman arm nut. And pulled a pitman arm with it. Avalanche lug nuts no problem... It's pretty impressive. 6.0 battery is a must though.
I thought the point of stubby is to get to tight spots. Why even bother demonstrating on lug nuts? There are better impact guns for lug nuts out. You people make this tool useless.
The point was to show things out side the box. Plus this was a demo.. please read the info on the video before you make pointless comments. Thank you
Since I got my 1/2" stubby, I haven't used my high torque on lug nuts once. It's much lighter and easier to wield than bigger guns.
@@jake-mv5oi I'm thrilled with this gun would love to see one made a little stronger tho
@@babyfacemotorsports8463 Mo powah= mo bettah! Ya, a high torque m12 with 450 ftlbs or so would be sweet.
@@jake-mv5oi that sould be perfect in my opinion
Fake
Good impact but the price makes it a deal breaker. Don't get me wrong Milwaukee makes good tools but they're not affordable for the average customer. Great review 👌🏾
MrSmellGud what are you talking about? They’re price more than fairly for what you get
@@ronjose51 Just saying that they are way more expensive than competitors. You can get a more powerful mid torque in a ridgid or dewalt for less than what this one cost.
@@MrSmellGud wait.. you're saying you're surprised you have to pay more for a better tool? 🤔
