I appreciate that you want to make it look good and that means a minimal number of welds. If I had not seen some of the video where you made the piece under the door I wouldn't have known there were multiple welds in it. You're work is impressive!!! My husband enjoys your channel!
I hate to see it finishing cause I really like it, I hope you bring it back to show off once done and pictures of wood working being done would be cool unless he has a channel to watch to see it done This is the first panel truck that I really like the looks of Great job as normal
You have to feel the end is in sight! That looked like a nice solid car when it first arrived but it’s been a ton of work. Hope a big payday is in your future!
@@RACGARAGE Just curious, is there wood too in the door inner structure or just on the door surrounding structure? Looks like those panel vans have wood in weird places.
Wow, that was another COMPLEX piece. Good job. Looking forward to seeing the back side of that door, and the framework pieces to strengthen it up. (didn't see you wearing your leather gloves sometimes, lol.) Keep up the great work.!
Next level work. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Rather a large panel with great success. Just found and subscribed to your share. Impressive job. thanks ya.
Thanks for sharing, Travis! I enjoy watching you create! Your explanations for the "why" you use a particular metal-shaping process are usually well thought-out, and the end product reflects your attention to the details! Excellent call on the "cherry" rear fenders, too! Using them for patterns is brilliant! Enjoy! Be safe! Bro Harry
A lot of work is an under statement...... fantastic job though......wish I had a couple of sets of those fenders....could build another project after I sold them.... great video...as usual...
Just found your channel You do nice work I’ve built my own English wheel I used metal ace kit Have you seen the door skin tools for installing door skins Mine is a cornwell tools air hammer style It does a awesome job it will fold a skin from 90° to perfectly flat In minutes
Beautiful work as always and it's just the inner structure of the door and the door jamb up both sides and across the top, the door sill is the bottom, but anyone who builds anything should know what your talking about
@@RACGARAGE hey i hope you catch this... just looking at that bare metal and knowing how humid it's been in the north east... ever heard of picklex-20? check it out.
Evening Travis, in my fabrication career one thing I have learned, if you can figure out how to fix your mistakes, you've got it made(somewhat)....I think I'm going to plunk down some cash & buy a English Wheel, what would you recommend? I'm thinking of one from Harbor Freight...I have another question, I have the Model A rear spring that came off the car, do I use that or buy a set from a late 40's shoebox Ford?
i thought harbor freight stopped making their wheel. but any brand name is fine. if the harbor freight wheel does the job then they all will haha. id use the spring that came with the car, just take a few leafs out or get a main leaf from Old Yankee Speed Co. hes a personal friend and has awesome products.
You may want to check out RUclips channel MakeItKustom he made a support table for his English wheel to help him with that same problem working by himself holding bigger panels
it was just a matter of that was the sizes i had on hand. got the steel for free so didnt want to add more steel cost to the job. other than that no reason at all haha
Excellent work wizard of Harry! Looks great man, definitely a very complex and large piece!
Man that was a tricky looking panel to build, but you nailed it! Looking forward to seeing you build the 36 fenders.
thanks dude!! yeah i cant wait to start making those fenders. itll be the first panel made using a buck. i feel like itll be easier.
Pleasantly surprised ( and impressed) how well the initial door gaps came out on such a complicated panel.

Travis Excellent job on the door and I can’t wait to you start making those rear fenders for the 36 will be very good
i hope i can do a good job on the fenders. i think itll be a good item for the business.
Nice work man that came out great!!!
thanks brother! as you know these low crown/ slight shape panels are tough!

yes the end is in sight. it will come back for a couple small details once he does his wood working magic.
Great work again! Looking forward to see the door inner structure build
inner structure will be when it comes back, i want the wood structure build first so i know exactly where its going to go.

@@1fknhpycmpr355 yes it did have wood inside the door also but that is 100% getting changed to steel like the front doors

just as i'm thinking to my self "why doesn't someone make repros?"
great idea and collaboration, man!

Damn, that's a long pick hammer. You could put an eye out.
thats the plan haha
Very neat 36 fenders to manufacture…. Beat Brookfield and make the entire body…. They are beautiful customs skirted & drop
We’ll see how the fenders go? There’s a guy who’s thinking about making full bodies. That’s a full time job in itself
@@RACGARAGEmabey a youtube collaberation? new steel bodies, get views and sell steel bodies. combine all the skills and knowledge of the top y.t ers

i saw that, its a good idea
What gauge steel are you using
18g. if i could find 19g i would use that. my local supplier wont order it.
Why wait for a buck? Make a flexible shape pattern. Thence get to work right away. if you can not sell fenders you can sell a flexible shape pattern.
Try pulse tig it works much better.
What tig do you have
AHP alpha tig 200x
Be sure to show the rod completed
he's a good friend so you'll be sing more of it
rather having 2 sheets welded together why didnt you take a single sheet , rest for sure all u body works looks legit
