Y'all keep hating and you're gonna miss a fucking master class. This man Pat made it off genuine personality and a fuck-ton of hustle. Much respect where respect is due.
This guy Pat and Chance are so passionate about music as an art form its unreal. Not signing with a music label as a struggling artist, not chasing the royalties, giving the music out for free all this is so inspiring. I hope more people follow suit and appreciate their hustle and grind. Major props.
Haters must be hating because they are jealous of him. FACTS: He believed in Chance and stayed with him through the blood, sweat, and tears, throughout the learning curve, and comes across as very down to earth. He did not take credit for things that were not his, and gave tons of credit to the artists he mentions. CONCLUSION: All I have is respect for this guy, regardless of what he looks like.
I love how he was so determined to make it in his early days doing internships or putting on shows for artists, falling on his ass and getting back up during the process. He didn't rely on his parents despite how wealthy they are. Not a lot of rich kids/young adults have that kind of work ethic or would be willing to beg for jobs or to grab someone else's coffee, knowing that they can just fall back on their parents financially.
How Chance went from Underground to a mainstream star in just 3 years is nothing short of inspiring. Not everyone has that kind of management behind them that's unfortunate but I'm glad Chance made it because he has all the star power and the humbleness of an average hardworking everyday person he deserves to be where he is nobody can tell me any different.
This interview has me in total awe... of how wholesome and amazing people in the music industry can be if they just set there mind to it. Truly and inspiring and someone i will forever look up to.
Pat seems very genuine. There are so many people out there who are more concerned about what you can do for them and how they can make money off of you. This is the type of manager every musician wishes they could have. I hope one day I'll have the honor of meeting Pat. I would love for him to manage my music career.
Dope story Pat!! Glad to see how everything worked out just from following a gut feeling man!! This is dope. Great job capturing these moments Complex!!
I am glad this series is starting to get the attention the show deserves! Blueprint is a insightful, authentic, high caliber series that gets out shined by a lot of garbage on the internet unfortunately and is finally making the way to the top.
I so appreciate this refreshingly candid journey detailing Chance the Rapper's career development however, the music, the personality, and the execution can't be overstated. Artists should first be comparably exceptional before expecting similar results with this method. Can't wait to hear who's next....
I watch this video at least 2x a day!! Very inspirational and motivating I work with an artist in here in Kansas City... This pushes me to be Great, Thank you Complex💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Best Blueprint that I have seen so far (I'm watching them in order). Pat is an inspiring person! Complex, I love what you are doing here. Please keep the Blueprints coming!!
This dude is amazing and I totally felt everything he said and went through for chance. I'm hoping and praying I get to explore and adore the same route as chance
The type of people we all need in our life those who are genuine it's evident that this guy is genuine much respect PAHZAZZ RADIO IN THE BUILDING HIT THAT CHANNEL!!!!
This was such an inspirational Blueprint. Chance has some pretty solid people on his team and you can really tell that Pat is just a genuine person. As someone who is currently trying to break in the entertainment industry as a writer, this just gave me SO much motivation and much-needed gems. Work hard even when the going gets tough and BE HUMBLE.
Pat Corcoran is a fantastic human being!!!!!Watching him speak so articutlately and confidently makes me want to be more like him--No wonder he's so successful; he exudes positive rays of light
This is a great interview. Only problem I have is saying he grew up blue collar when his dad was a CEO in a futures company...more like upper class. It's 100% a lot easier knowing your dad can spot you 1500 for a failed concert.
bro, parents spend tens of thousands of dollars on their kids for college. 1500 doesnt make you sh!t. He had a father who installed good values in him, that's far more valuable and that's what you need. His parents didn't support him - they were against it, if you listened to the interview.
Dude sounds like a good business person, nothing brings success to an artist more than choosing the right team to work with, good thing chance had firm support from his dad,he didn't have do no corner hustling to keep the lights on..
I love this video man, Pat gave me so much insight and direction on what it is I really wanna do in the music industry. I'm def gonna check out that book
Absolutely inspiring. This is a stand up guy, great interview, really took a lot of inspiration away from this... Love these BluePrint series, please keep them coming!!!
Save money has had national attention since Vic was in the band kids these days at like age 13. So to say that chance is an industry plant is insulting honestly. He's got the credit, and he has a great team around him.
people are confused because his team is so efficient at getting him in the same spots as most people who are signed. In reality, Chance has had one Radio song, which was split with 2 Chainz, & Wayne. and makes all his money from touring and Merch.
Very much independent. Save money is independent. They're just efficient. He partners with labels as a company and a brand at this point. That's as independent as an independent company out there partnering with another company for a business venture. He owns all his masters.
this dude responded to me personally in 2013 about a t shirt order. bro is a grinder
great comment :)
Tarek Benchouia That's REAL customer service.

shows humility, he got no reason to do that since he's already a multimillionaire trust fund man
Y'all keep hating and you're gonna miss a fucking master class. This man Pat made it off genuine personality and a fuck-ton of hustle. Much respect where respect is due.
Joseph Thornton This story doesn't hold water. A manager who can't stand up to his parents?
Joseph Thornton We also all know theyre hardly 100% indie.
Joseph Thornton Master Class is based in your level of knowledge and level of play.
yes ndeed! I take notes on all points in each video!
Mr. Cato What are you talking about? He totally stood up to his parents.
"We were learning - which was really fun."
That's the key.
This guy Pat and Chance are so passionate about music as an art form its unreal. Not signing with a music label as a struggling artist, not chasing the royalties, giving the music out for free all this is so inspiring. I hope more people follow suit and appreciate their hustle and grind. Major props.
Pat seems like a really down to earth cool dude
This interview was very insightful. I'll be sure to pass this information along to my audience.
Smart rapper gang!
You everywhere bro lol
Can you make a video about why artist dont make it pls
By stealing the info and charging a fee for the course 😂😂 you just became a smarter rapper
Artist need more videos like this...I love how complex, and XXL and other platforms how they really expose the life of how people move and came up.
